I love this song because I just think it's so beautiful. Honestly, I have been a strong Christian all my life, but I think everyone goes through that period of time that society starts to take effect on you, and you say, "What if they're right?"

I still am not convinced about the Bible. I grew up going to church and now am working in the scientific field. I have found myself struggling with many questions, both about my faith and the world in general. I've only found answers for some. It is my impression that even at our current level of knowledge, we still do not know enough to refute or confirm God's existence. But I still believe. The only reason being: I'm gambling that God exists. Nothing to lose, with eternity to gain.

labeling people as christians and non christians takes away from the relationship. It's not about having the label. Instead of telling people you're a christian, why don't you try saying you are a believer in Christ, who died for every one of us. Maybe your right. Maybe there is no God, and this is all there is to life. Well, then, this strikes me as a pretty crappy life. But it's funny: a bunch of babies can make up an imaginary life that is far more vibrant than the real one. That's why we stand by our "imaginary" God. We'll spend our lives serving Him. If your world is the true one (i.e., there is no God), then our lives and deaths are nothing to be worried about- after all, we're just babies playing a game.

Christians can be resonable. Read Lee Stroble's "A Case for..." series. He analytically delves into Christianity. Ours is not a blind faith, but rather, an informed, reasoned faith. "What if" is not in our mandate, come to think of it. 1 Peter 3:15 states this very clearly...

I am a firm Christian. I do not think 1st Peter is wrong. The whole "game" comment was a reference to C.S. Lewis' sixth Narnia book. I believe firmly that, as Christians, we should be prepared to give an honest account of the hope that we have.
I loved the Narnia series and THe silver Chair was my favorite. THeres a part where the evil queen is trying to convince the travelers that there is no Aslan, no Narnia and no hope so they might as well get used to it and start working for her down in her kingdom. I'm not sure how I feel about this song. I mean, "What If" isn't a good basis for belief. In fact, "believing" something just because you think you might be wrong isn't belief at all. If someone truly doesn't believe in Christ being who He said He was, then.. they don't believe it. They aren't going to decide to believe just because they might be wrong. The Word of God says that there will be people who think Christianity is nonsense. It is expected, because those people have never felt the real presence of God in their lives. God calls them but they are too tuned out to hear. People have to realize, its about one on one relationship with the Spirit of God, not religion. Love this song. God is an amazing God. May I add one major point in all of these debates. As much as Science proves the existence of God and can attack against that, in all of this "without faith you cannot please God". You can't. If you want to heal someone with the power of God and his almighty name, you must have faith, in all things you must have it. @ElijahDTF Those are valid questions with answers. I know pain, suffering, and sadness from experience. And I can only imagine what I haven't experienced. God gave Adam and Eve life, but people are not robots. And we chose to disobey Him. The enemy of our Spirits is Satan and he has existed since he was an archangel along with Michael and Gabriel and he decided he wanted to overthrow God. He wants us to blame God for pain, instead of trusting God.

I still am not convinced about the Bible. I grew up going to church and now am working in the scientific field. I have found myself struggling with many questions, both about my faith and the world in general. I've only found answers for some. It is my impression that even at our current level of knowledge, we still do not know enough to refute or confirm God's existence. But I still believe. The only reason being: I'm gambling that God exists. Nothing to lose, with eternity to gain.

Maybe your right. Maybe there is no God, and this is all there is to life. Well, then, this strikes me as a pretty crappy life. But it's funny: a bunch of babies can make up an imaginary life that is far more vibrant than the real one. That's why we stand by our "imaginary" God. We'll spend our lives serving Him. If your world is the true one (i.e., there is no God), then our lives and deaths are nothing to be worried about- after all, we're just babies playing a game.

I'm not sure how I feel about this song. I mean, "What If" isn't a good basis for belief. In fact, "believing" something just because you think you might be wrong isn't belief at all. If someone truly doesn't believe in Christ being who He said He was, then.. they don't believe it. They aren't going to decide to believe just because they might be wrong. It's gotta be an equal head/heart ratio. You can't just follow your heart and "jump." You have to truly understand it and believe it!!

God says "Taste and see that I am good" Your journey as a christian is a personal one and Christians alone CANNOT determine whether or not God does in fact exist except by example. It is the evidence of things unseen. Going on scientific evidence alone for Gods existence is and will always be unfruitful. Science is the study of Gods creation and not the study of God himself. You can NEVER prove or disprove God simply by means of science since He exists outside of universal laws. Thank you.

The Word of God says that there will be people who think Christianity is nonsense. It is expected, because those people have never felt the real presence of God in their lives. God calls them but they are too tuned out to hear. People have to realize, its about one on one relationship with the Spirit of God, not religion. Christians are at different levels of relationship.That is why there are so many inconsistancies in Christian lives. In the end, everyone will bow regardless of who you are.

Love this song. God is an amazing God. May I add one major point in all of these debates. As much as Science proves the existence of God and can attack against that, in all of this "without faith you cannot please God". You can't. If you want to heal someone with the power of God and his almighty name, you must have faith, in all things you must have it. Salvation is nonsense to those who do not believe, the Bible states this, only the holy spirit can remove the scales from their eyes.

@ElijahDTF This is one of the common misconceptions of Christianity today. The bible never says that God is a 'loving God' but that he is a 'just God.' He did not kill the firstborns in Egypt, that was the pharoh, who was working under the influence of the Enemy. What I think most about is the beginning of everything, that is the most awsome thought to me. And demons are very real! I've seen ufos and paranormal knocking that scared the living daylights out of me. I noticed alot of atheis put their statements in these religious vids not just this one but most. Why? Anyway I was given a second chance in life and I for one am very grateful. Thank you lord!

@ElijahDTF It's not just apologizing...it is repenting which comes from a broken heart and results in turning the other direction and walking toward God, not away. Jesus loves you so much. If you were the only human, he'd still have sacrificed His precious blood for you. He really does. Seek the truth and you will find it Elijah. Love your name by the way. @ElijahDTF Those are valid questions with answers. I know pain, suffering, and sadness from experience. And I can only imagine what I haven't experienced. God gave Adam and Eve life, but people are not robots. And we chose to disobey Him. The enemy of our Spirits is Satan and he has existed since he was an archangel along with Michael and Gabriel and he decided he wanted to overthrow God. He wants us to blame God for pain, instead of trusting God.

@ElijahDTF It is good that you stopped. And asked. Yeah... why? if God loves us, why does these things exist? Why not just a peaceful and loving world? Then put yourself in Jesus' feet. Why does He have to die? Why does His life be the payment for all our sins? It sounds unfair, right? And awful. Back in the beginning of times, we are forgetful people, we forget about God. Always. And His anger is kindled against us. That He wiped us out from the face of the earth by flood, by fire from the sky.

@ElijahDTF That isn't so loving. But why are we still here? Because why He relents most of the time? He could wipe us all out for our disbelief. He could just destroy the world He created with just a word. He could. But He did not. Because He loves us. Before He sent fire, He saved Lot, the only righteous one in Sodom. And when He tried to wipe out the world with flood, Noah and his family survived. Why? because they believed. And God loves those who believe in Him.

@ElijahDTF His love is so great that even when we always forget Him, He sent us prophets (which we loved killing). And when He saw that the only way to save us is by offering an innocent blood, He came down from His throne to save all His people from the never ending falling into the darkness of sin. He chose to die for us. He paid a debt He didn't owe because we owe a debt we couldn't pay. Surely, if God doesn't or didn't love us at all, we wouldn't be in this world. we wouldn't be breathing.

@ElijahDTF However, this is the world we are living. It is not yet heaven. Why do we suffer? It is because of each other. If each one of us would learn how to give, there will be no starvation. If each one of us follow the commandments of God, there will be no aids, murder nor rape. It is because of us that we suffer. because we overuse the freewill that God has given to us. He could not force us to believe. He could not proclaim Himself God even when He is.

@ElijahDTF But He shows His greatness to the people who have faith. The firstborns could have not died if they turn from their god and worshipped the one true God. But it must happen so His greatness maybe revealed. Because even the Israelites whom He considered His people are losing faith in Him. They worship idols of gold even when they have God with them. It was God's way of saying "Be still, know that I am God."

We need to pray for a change of heart... and when we pray, slowly, this world isn't such a bad place to live a t all... we can wait here until His coming. Everyone, the people that don't believe are being tricked. Satan's greatest trick is convincing man that he didn't exist. Non-believers..... Look at it this way what was before earth, before time. Something had to have created this just look hard hard enough to understand that it wasn't chance that everything is here. Jesus did die for your sins, believe it. this is true..... ive learned to put all my hope and trust in God..... ive always been a Christian, but my hope has been really thin... my parents got a divorce when i was 7, even though im 14 now, those memories have haunted me everyday, my oldest sister got pregnant at 19 had her baby at 20, her my niece lindsey and her husband are in Kentucky and ive learned, that lindsey has brought my family even closer together!!! that is gods way of saying that things are going to be ok!!!!!!!!

And let's just say about the science thing, how could science prove there is no God? Did the scientists build a God finder and it didn't beep? What kind of experiment would a scientist do to get this kind of information?
And is everything science "proves" always right? Not even close. They have found MANY things wrong that they thought were correct for hundreds of years.
I highly doubt that science will ever be able to prove one way or the other about God's existence. We're only humans.
