Very sweet........My son just left last month for a 15 month deployment........ his 3rd deployment. His wife and 3 children just wait until he comes home.
I too made a video and posted it and they took off ALL the songs I bought just for the video. The music is what makes the video grab at your heart. Beautiful video! Best wishes to you all.
@TheJoannieBean Hi!! Well our 15 month deployment turned into just 12!!!!! John will be home August 19th!!! These guys go through so much, as do the families.. Best wishes to you ALL!!

@frozenmelee1 Every time I watch this video, or even hear this song I cry too. And I've watch it maybe hundreds of times. Thanks for your happy wishes. :)
My husband and I have been together almost 4 years and have only spent one anniversary together. He was deployed a week after our daughter was born, and came back a week after her first birthday. Army life is tough, and us wives deserve so much for dealing with it :D
Good video! I feel ya hon! Good luck to you and your family.
Yeah. I hear ya. It is pretty tough but thats why it takes some one special do to our job.
I love him more than anything. I'm sure you love yours the same. I'm so glad he's alright and safe here at home ^_^ he'ssleeping right now I should go and join him.. Congrats on having yours come home safe too.
my husband is a navy corpsman currently deployed to Iraq. We're expecting our 2nd child and we celebrate our 3rd anniversary on Aug 14 2009. Out of three years of marriage so far we've only been able to celebrate together once. funny how timing works. i was pregnant the during our first anniversary that we didn't get to spend together and i'm pregnant this time around too. I'm noticing a pattern. i dont think we thank each other enough so thank for you serving with us. we're all in it 2gether.
We finally got to celebrate our 3rd in January. It was nice. Out of our 3 years, we were only able to spend one together too.
Thank you so much for what your husband does, and for the sacrifices that your family makes.
You are right. We are all in this together. The whole world doesn't know it but everyone knows SOMEONE who has been affected by the occupation in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We are all lucky that people, like our husbands, VOLUNTEER FOR THIS JOB.
What an awesome video, I'm deploying in January or Feburary of 2009 and have a 9-month old daughter and missing that much of her growing up is going to be awful. Its great to see deployed soldiers with this much love and support from back home.
very good video! i swore into the army on saturday, leave for bct on may 29th, 19 day notice, if my fiancee is as dedicated as you are i know i have a keeper! good luck to you and matt!
Congratulations on deciding to join the finest Army the world. Keep your chin up and be proud. Learn as much as you can, because it may just save your life one day. Congrats on your engagement as well. I hope things work out for you. Thank you for your service to our country. Have a good one.
Very well done. I watched it twice. You know you have done something when you can make an Infantry grunt cry. I saw my children while seeing your daughers. I have been here for 10 months now. Once again well done I hope your husband comes back to you safe and sound along with everyone elses husbands boy friends wifes daughters and sons. Hooha to you ma'am
Hooah to you as well. Sorry about the belated return of your comment. I've been a wee bit busy as far as FRG events go and planning and such. You know how it is. Hes just finished up his R&R and is doing just fine. I hope you are well, and hope you get to see your children soon. Thanks for all you do. Hooah Soldier. Have a good one, and take care of yourself.
im joining the army here in about 5 months, i have to get my GED first. to know that there are people out there who care about our soldier makes me proud to serve you and my country..god bless our troops, and god bless the USA...
Rock on! Hooah to you! Keep it up and be focused at Basic. There you will be taught how to survive in combat! Pay attention- it just might save your live. Good luck to you.
You miss your MATT and I prefer to sent my love to my MATT too. He is British Soldier and was sent to Iraq but now I still don't know howz goin with him. I beg for god, Please take care him and bring my love to him. My only love is for him and he will be the only one I love now and forever.
Good luck to your Matt :). Bless you, and keep praying. He will be in your arms once again. You and I are are the same. We may be in different countries and have different lives, but are effected by this war equally. Keep praying for it to end. 4,000+ American Troops, 1,000,000+ Iraqis. Enough is enough.
Thank you. Bless your dad, AND ALL THE TROOPS! I guess we all are affected by the war, and any war. I still am working on the new video, but its getting very busy here. I tell your dad that I said hi when he comes back. He will, so you keep your smiles on and HOOAH to you!
We had nothing. He was an Apprentice Electrician and he couldn't find any work. The work that he did find was 60 hours a week, $7 an hour, no health insurance or any benefits, and we found out we were pregnant once again. We were living in my parents house, which was too small for them, let alone our family. We both agreed that it would be the best thing to get us on our feet. He knew when signing up that the probability of him getting deployed was up there, but he signed up, and here we are. :)
I didn't have any recent pictures of Amanda. But I will be making a new video for him too. He still hasn't seen the video yet, but I'm sure he'll love it.

Thank you for your sacrifice, and tell you husband thank you too. Too many times people over-look the families of soldiers. They sacrifice a lot too.
I wish you and yours the best. My family and I will pray for a safe return of you Brave Soldier.
Best wishes,
An Army Vet.
