plush ride??? I've had a 2007 civic ex since it came out and the ride is very rough and you feel every bump in the road. It's a GREAT car but the only thing I don't like IS the suspension. It's very sporty-ish and quick when it comes to steering, but it's not very comfortable throughout a town with kindof rough roads.... Like mine

People should look into chevy they are the most reliable american company out of the bunch. not just about japanese others are catching up... who makes the best vans? Definitely go for the civic my friend.

@Bug1g The Yaris is an entry-level compact vehicle and the Civic is a small car, so naturally the Civic is going to be better and have more features than the Yaris. The Civic is competing with cars like the Corolla, while the Yaris competes with the Honda Fit. As far as gender-marketing goes, the Civic is more aggressive looking, but I find that a lot of women still like it. That doesn't mean men can't, though. I'd say go with the Civic.

The Civic is one of the most tuned car out there, because it's fast,reliable cheap and good mpeg. If you ever own a Honda you would understand.

I have one, love it. Honda makes great cars... I don't get why they are so bad with the options on the civic... Power windows, but no power locks... does not make sense in 2009. You don't even get a damn armrest in the dx-vp line. Nonetheless its fun to drive, Honda just needs to realize they have to stop being stupid with the "options". You get tire pressure guages but you can't get automatic mirrors?

Im sure that the accord has been and still will top it in reliability. and as of the cobalt getting better mpg. I honestly doubt it. They both get the same exact. or the civic getting better because of its smaller engine. But like you mentioned the civic is way more worth it because out of all it will last.

I was leaning toward the Toyota Corolla until I considered how comfortable I would be with the way my vehicle looked. I am almost embarrassed to admit it since I like to make practical choices, but the aggressive styling of the Civic won me over. I was asked by an owner of an older Civic if I would switch with him :). A coworker said it looked like a girl's car. I don't know what to say to that, since he prefers Blazers and old Caprice's. i love my 08 honda civic lx...i got all the great features like cruise control, cd, player and power doors and locks..with standard 6 airbags...but there are times when I really miss my 92 honda accord dx...that car was a beast, it lasted over 300k and was there for me when i had my ups and downs,, highways and snowstorms it did it all...that's how i'm hooked on Honda and allways will be....and i still plan on getting another 92 accord for the fun of it....yay hondas

I believe they're using an 08 Civic in the video since there are new air vents in the front and added chrome in the back of the 09s.

They forgot to mention that the 09 Civic has now an EX-L class which comes with leather seating. The EX comes with a moonroof and different tires.

The Civic also won the small car comparison for KBB.
