spoke of the time She & the Ronnettes opened for Him.

Nedra has always been my Favorite & what can you say about Jimmy.

  • This need s to be made into a box set.

  • @cw605

It has been made into a box set. It was unvailable for many years, and almost no one saw this, so I posted many of the performances. I have been told by other viewers that it is available at CFR Videos website (and maybe other places, but I do not know). The set includes all the talking between the artists, and I loved that, also.

  • Thanks for answering. Jimmy is so suave and I love him singing this song.

  • Does anyone know if the woman at 1.28 is related to Jimmy? I think she quite resembles him.

  • @cajohn0

She is definitely not related to Jimmy. That is Nedra Tally Ross, who was a member of the Ronettes.

  • @cajohn0 it is dodie stevens

  • @issurchaim Thanks for the reply but I believe the woman at 1.24 is Dodie Stevens not the one at 1.28. As DooWopJoe said she is Nedra Tally Ross.

  • @cajohn0 i agree it is nedra at 1.28 but it is dodie at 1.26...got my times wrong.sorry.

  • Who is the guy to Jimmy's left in the glasses and striped shirt. I haven't seen him in any of the videos.

  • @akcoins

I forget his name -- would have to play videos again to find it. He was not a singer, but the host of this special.

  • @DooWopJoe HEY DO WOP, DONT MEAN TO WALK ON YOU. I GUESS YOU & I ARE TALKING ABOUT DIFFRENT FOLKS THE PERSON IM TALKING ABOUT WAS FOR SURE A MEMBER OF THE DIAMONDS. I HAVE SOME OF HIS VIDEOS. • @kk56kk1

Hey, cool info! As for the guy from the Diamonds, yes David Somerville, lead of the Diamonds, was part of this event. I have uploaded him doing "Little Darlin." From where Jimmy Clanton is performing, when the camera is behind him, there is an opening in the circle in front of him. To the right, from that view, is Ray Peterson on the end, and to his right is David Somerville, who is wearing a blue sport coat. Hope that clears up any confusion.

  • Thank you DooWop Joe! You, in your gentle manner, are giving a special food for our souls. God bless you (from Brazil).

  • this guys one of my true heros. he had a style all of his own. god bless jimmy. mikie poppop

  • Great performance! Thanks for the great post!

  • is that Nedra of the ronettes in the crowd?

  • Yes, Nedra is next to Carl Gardner, of the Coasters. Dodie Stevens is there, along with Dee Dee Sharp, David Somerville (Diamonds), Gene Hughes (Casinos), among the others.

  • Great job, Joe!

  • Thank you Doo Wop Joe!

    Dynamite.
