yes he is Larry Black and he has his own show on RFD tv called Larry's country diner every saturday night with different country music singers and a female comedian named Nadine
It has been made into a box set. It was unvailable for many years, and almost no one saw this, so I posted many of the performances. I have been told by other viewers that it is available at CFR Videos website (and maybe other places, but I do not know). The set includes all the talking between the artists, and I loved that, also.
@rsipp HE IS A MEMBER OF THE ORIGINAL DIAMONDS. IVE WATCHED THIS VIDEO QUITE A NUMBER OF TIMES AND PICKED OUT A LOT OF SINGERS FROM THE 50'S ,I WANT TO KNOW THE NAME OF THIS SHOW
@rsipp DO YOU EVER WATCH PBS?EVERY TIME THEY HAVE A RE-UNION SHOW, THAT PERSON IN THE STRIPED SHIRT SHOWS UP.THANKS FOR THE NAME OF THE SHOW..I'VEMANAGED TO COLLECT ABOUT 15 DIFFRENT SONGS FROM THE SHOW THAT I RECALL FROM THE 50'S. I GREW UP ON ELVIS . I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO OWN A VHS RECORDER AND I COLLECTED A LIBRARY FULL OF MUSIC FROM THE 50'S & 60'S. I HAVE HOURS OF SHOWS WITH ELVIS, FRANKIE AVALON,JERRY LEE LEWIS, DICK CLARK AMERICAN BANDSTAND, THE LIST GOES ON & ON. LONG LIVE ROCK..
@DooWopJoe HEY DO WOP, DONT MEAN TO WALK ON YOU. I GUESS YOU & I ARE TALKING ABOUT DIFFRENT FOLKS THE PERSON IM TALKING ABOUT WAS FOR SURE A MEMBER OF THE DIAMONDS. I HAVE SOME OF HIS VIDEOS. I TRULY LOVE YOUR VIDEOS .HERE'S SOME TRIVIA- I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH BILLY JOE ROYAL AND JOE SOUTH . THEY USED TO HANG AROUND AT THE STRAND THEATRE IN DOWNTOWN MARIETTA GA.. I THINK THEY ALSO PLAYED A COUPLE OF FREE CONCERTS AT LAKE ACWORTH,GA. BILLY JOE HAD OUT A SONG CALLED'NEVER IN A HUNDRED YEARS'
Hey, cool info! As for the guy from the Diamonds, yes David Somerville, lead of the Diamonds, was part of this event. I have uploaded him doing "Little Darlin." From where Jimmy Clanton is performing, when the camera is behind him, there is an opening in the circle in front of him. To the right, from that view, is Ray Peterson on the end, and to his right is David Somerville, who is wearing a blue sport coat. Hope that clears up any confusion.
Yes, Nedra is next to Carl Gardner, of the Coasters. Dodie Stevens is there, along with Dee Dee Sharp, David Somerville (Diamonds), Gene Hughes (Casinos), among the others.
Just a dream was always my favorite song!

The Girl in this segment was definetly "Nedra" of the Ronnettes. She
spoke of the time She & the Ronnettes opened for Him.
Nedra has always been my Favorite & what can you say about Jimmy.

Does anyone know if the woman at 1.28 is related to Jimmy? I think she quite resembles him.
cajohn0 8 months ago
@cajohn0
She is definitely not related to Jimmy. That is Nedra Tally Ross, who was a member of the Ronettes.
DooWopJoe 8 months ago
@cajohn0 it is dodie stevens
issurchaim 5 months ago
@issurchaim Thanks for the reply but I believe the woman at 1.24 is Dodie Stevens not the one at 1.28. As DooWopJoe said she is Nedra Tally Ross.
cajohn0 5 months ago
@cajohn0 i agree it is nedra at 1.28 but it is dodie at 1.26...got my times wrong.sorry.

I forget his name -- would have to play videos again to find it. He was not a singer, but the host of this special.
