I love the half updo on you....could you show a start to finish video for it...my hair is that texture if i let it go natural without scrunching it...just wanted and idea of how to acheive your look...thank you...
I love my Salon porducts more that I work at a Salon now to.I get them cheaper than retail,so I love it! I still have to have my Aussi Moist Shampoo though, lol!
I have fine natural blonde hair but it is fairly thick. I bought the Joico shampoo/conditioner based on your rec. Do you think this is ok for normal hair? Also, I love your styling tutorial but because my hair is so fine and long it doesn't hold curl well. Do you have a product that you could recommend that will help my curls stay intact when I use the curling iron? I tried Kenrastyling creme and it made my hair really tacky. Thanks!!!
What can you recommend for oily hair? I have been using Matrix Amplify which makes it totally unbearable. Before that was Biolage, but I can't remember what:\ I've heard Biolage makes a good product for oily hair, but I'm not sure what.
hi Jess, thank you for taking time to respond to my last post ,I know u have so many people asking u questions. I meant to put theBiosilk silk therapy leave in treatment that u said u use =/ sorry i didn't specify. I wanted to know if u like that better than it's a 10?
Are you still using the biosilk silk therapy, now that you use the it's a 10? I use the it's a 10 already, but in this vid u said silk therapy is your fav so now i wanna get that, so please let me know your thoughts on that =)
@babyroch Well I use them for 2 different purposes. I put Its a 10 in when my hair is damp for a leave in treatment and I will use the Biosilk when I am finished with my look just to add shine and smooth down and crazy ends!
how do you feel about other redken products? i go to tspa- all redken. i feel like ever since i started school in the spring... my hair sucks. like, it's dry... a lot of breakage... i do like aerate... but i can never get it on my scalp good, lol it strings all over my hair. we have similar hair, mine has more curl. and if you're wondering i have only highlighted once and colored my hair 3 times since school. which is a lot less than when i was lightening it once a month before school.
heyy i just found you and i love your videos! i have a question - is the joico kpak safe for color treated hair? i LOVE it so much and want to go back to using it, however it's really expensive and i'm thinking about changing my haircolor so i don't want to buy it if i won't be able to use it. it doesn't say anything on the bottle or on the website about colortreated hair.
Hi! Thanks for the video. I have a question: I have pretty much the same hair type as you: not straight but not curly, fine but not colour treated. I was wondering: is it okay to use matrix amplify as an everyday shampoo if you use a good conditioner for ends? I have oily roots. I thought maybe the oilyness would offset the drying nature of the matrix amplifier.
Can you do a hair tutorial on your hair like that? I loooove the bump in the back but i can never get it. and this is the second time ive commented on a video of yours today but im not like a stalker i just need some good styles xD thank you!!
I have been coloring my hair dark for awhile. Now I'm back to blonde highlights.I'm gonna go buy this stuff u got.I already have the Biosilk though.I use mousse on my hair now to.My hair texture is like yrs.I want volume at my roots to.I'm gonna buy that Bigsexy mousse.I[m so glad I found u on here.:)

@ItsGoodToGiveIn Its sooo hard!! My hair grows sooo slow!! Plus I use so much heat on it and I hilite it blonde so I always have to get the ends trimmed to keep it looking healthy!!

Thanks so much for the info on the Shine and seal spray. I love this sooo much, I think it works better than the Chi silk infusion. You saved my hair!!!! Thanks Jess!!
OOOOOMmmmGGG!! Im a hair stylist and those are all my holly grail products!! Except for the Biolage I use the Moroccan oil hydrating styling cream( for all hair types) must check it out. And the Hairspay for super hold I use CHI. Loves it;D!! XO
Oh yay!!! I haven't tried either one of those!!! I am definitely going to though the next time I am at a beauty supply store!!! Thanks for the ideas!!! :)
Have you ever tried bumble and bumble tonic lotion? Thanks so much for this video. I'm definitly taking your advice and buying a lot of these products. You are one of my favorites by the way.
I have a bottle of Silk Therapy that I bought about a year and a half ago. I haven't used it every day, but I have used it quite often and I still have a good amount left. It's good stuff! Do you ever use any Pureology products? I love the shampoo and conditioner they make...it has totally transformed my hair! Would love to hear your opinions. I'll have to try the K-Pak next time I'm at the beauty supply. I love trying new products and you have some wonderful recommendations!
OMG! I feel like the biggest product loser in the world. I don't always use salon products . . .I'd say I have half and half. But, it's hard to style your own hair, isn't it??? I mean, unless you're doing it all time. I need to practice and get some better product!!!
Haha!! You are not a loser for not using salon products!! I think its something that takes practice definitely, but it's also definitely doable! Have you worn your striped dress lately ;)
Haha! K, I feel better now. :) I LOVE all of your tutorials. I tried to do the Victoria's Secret wavy hair . . .total disaster!! I am not good at styling my own hair. :) All of your info is so helpful though, and I always turn to your videos when I need a new product of some kind. You're awesome!
Hi, I have just ordered online the Biosilk Silk Therapy. I am going to track down the leave in treatment. Thanks for your recommendations. Have a great day JA :o)
if anyone is wondering you dont have to have your makeup license thing like see has to get the jocio k-pak products she mentioned at the beginning you can get them from ulta, trade secret, hair salons, and places like that.
Don't worry about your english!! The best thing to do would be to get a good trim, as much as you can stand to lose to get those damaged ends off. I would definitely try to stop using the flat iron for awhile if you can.. I know it's hard not to use it! I would but a deep conditioner (there are many good kinds) and after you have shampooed your hair I would towel dry your hair really well and then apply the conditioner to the ends of your hair. Put your hair in a shower cap or a towel and let it
set for as long as you have... overnight is ideal otherwise a couple of hours and then rinse it out. Do that once a week and it will help strenthen your hair. :)
Volume is what I need! Could you do a tutorial using big sexy hair? I purchased it a few months ago but have had no success. I think it's the way I'm applying it. :x also, have you tried the paul Mitchell root lift? I hear it's good.
Yes I will do a video on that! I haven't used the Paul Mitchell root lifter. We aren't a paul mitchell salon so I am not around those products. But I did use Paul Mitchell products in beauty school and I did like them. SO I would assume it is a good product!
Thanks so much for sharing! I absolutely love the Biolage Smoothing Gel. I have fine, wavy hair that gets frizzy and this helps so much. I occasionally will use Redken Ringlet as well. I can't wait to check out the other products. Do you use the Biosilk Silk Therapy when you use the Biolage Smoothing Gel? Or do you just pick one to use? Thanks! ~ Toni
Redken Ringlet is great for curly hair! Yes I use them together. But that is because I use the smoothing gel when my hair is wet and the silk therapy when my hair is dry! It says that you can use the silk therapy when your hair is wet or dry, so if you use it when its wet you wouldn't need it with the smoothing gel.
You defintely need to get your hair trimmed. Because even though the ends "aren't growing" persay they will start to split if they aren't maintained. The damage will start to progress up the hair shaft if you aren't cutting the damage off regularly. Does that make sense?
Hi, thanks for sharing your favourite hair products. I have actually tired the Joico Kpak shampoo and conditioner and i found them to be great on my hair!! I also have previously enjoyed using the Matrix Amplify color as well. I am going to see if I can find the Biosilk Therapy leave in treatment. Have you tried Ojon or Pureology - these are my latest hair products I have really been loving lately. Thanks for all your recommendations and hair tips - have found them all helpful. JA :o)
No actually I haven't! I have wanted to try Pureology but we don't carry it at our salon so I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet! I have heard Pureology is fantastic though!
Ok so what do you recommend for damaged hair? Ive used Frederic Fekkai's protein RX treatment mask and the 1st time, it left my hair really soft but after that- it just didnt do much. Now im using Loreal's Natures therapy Deep conditioning treatment and its ok. what good product would you recommend? i guess im trying to lay off the flat iron and let it breathe.
I would definitely get the Joico K pak shampoo and conditioner, that has been the best for me for helping to strenthen my hair! Also once a week after you shampoo or your hair or even if you don't I would towl dry your hair really well and use any conditioner you have (deep conditioner would be the best) but if you dont have that than use regular... and put that all over your ends. Wrap your hair in a towel or a shower cap and let it set for however long you have... 10 min and hour.. over night!
Thank you so much for telling us about these products! I have used Joico KPak and Biosilk in the past and I love it. I will definitely check out the other products as well.
Question!!! So I know your not suppose to wash your hair everyday, BUT I seriously HAVE to. My hair is SO oily the next day it looks gross!!!! Anything you suggest I can do??
It is ok if you wash your hair everyday in certain situations. You having excess oil is one of them! What I do on the second or third day is apply some powder with a big fluffy brush to my roots to camoflage oil. With your hair being darker I would use a really dark powder or bronzer or somethign (no shimmer) and just get some product on the brush and then dab it onto your roots. Then take your fingers and make a scratching type motion to blend the powder in!
i would really love to try some of these products but in europe we only have loreal professional or kerastase :-( I cant find a good root volumizer ..
I love the half updo on you....could you show a start to finish video for it...my hair is that texture if i let it go natural without scrunching it...just wanted and idea of how to acheive your look...thank you...

10 min and hour.. over night!

Question!!! So I know your not suppose to wash your hair everyday, BUT I seriously HAVE to. My hair is SO oily the next day it looks gross!!!! Anything you suggest I can do??
tiffanydawn 2 years ago
YES I do have some suggestions! :)

Okay! I'll try that! Thanks for the tips!

Oh! and I would start out with just a little powder at first! What the powder does is soak up the excess oil!
