my humble suggestion is to make it load the clip only when you click on the thumb image and playback only when mouse is over it.
Currently, clicking on the thumb makes it open the details page. There is a magnify icon that already does it so you can turn the thumb image into a button that initializes clip loading. mouse-over function will prevent ram hit.
...well I don't know why I'm so much concerned about this 8))) maybe I have too much free time :))
Thanks. I've had similar thoughts. Although the reason it;s like this is because if you have too many playing at once, your going to see a serious ram hit. We always consider these requests though. Thanks.
what I meant was; when you mouse-over a clip, it starts loading data from server.
When you accidentally run over several clips that you don't want to preview, it start loading them. they don't play until you mouseover them but they get downloaded.
That is a waste of bandwidth. If you'd put a button to initialize loading (not talking about playing) of clips, I think you'd save server bandwidth and users would view clips faster.
Great looking product. Are you able to buy the lot on discs, or is the only way to get them by downloading each clip from the website individually?

I've just browsed the footage section and it's amazing. I also liked the detailed search engine.
Only thing I didn't like is the mouse-over preview function in search results page.
I suggest you put buttons for it.
