check out some more vids online, theres an interesting tumbler i saw one guy use that he made
just wire screen that turns and keeps all the big material in and lets the castings drop through, with all the larger material reused, he also leaves the worms in while tumbling, might be easier and quicker for you
You shouldn't have that much leachate (the liquid you took out), which means you are pouring way too much water through your worm farm. Also, it should not take so many months for them to go through that little bit of waste. In 5 months your worm population could have easily be 10x from when you started... but conditions may be bad. Anyway, very good start! I wish you the best of luck!
If you leave a "drip bowl" under your drain spigot and leave your spigot open you will get much better smelling castings...It is also a good indicator of when your worm farm is too moist...should never be more than few drops in the bowl...Or at least thats what works for me..Nice video and Good Luck!

@tempss Yeah, he should've diluted the leachate, cause that stuff is quite toxic to plants in concentrate.

Great Dave, but you should not handle the worms with your bare hands, they hate your oily skin!!!

@krioux810 That's why I always use my food prep gloves when handling them :)

@KingmanOldDude Better yet, have an aerator bucket below the spigot to catch the leachate and turn it into useable worm tea!

Hey Dave, what if you just put the bottom bin on top. I suspect that the worms will migrate down where there's much more food. No sorting maybe?
