The ancient Berber tribes that once roamed north Africa had many similar, physical characteristics to the Guanche which is still evident to this day in modern Canarian and north African people. For example my close friend who is from Egypt has blond curly hair and green eyes with light skin. I believe that ancient north Africans that migrated further north into Europe, later became known as the "Arian Race". Travelling more north resulted in these people becoming fairer in skin tone.

Only recently did I find out that I have family living in Spain...Lomg Story, and from what I know, they were decended from the Bereber linage.
Now this means little to me at the moment, as I know next to nothing bar what I was told, which wasn't much, but it is astounding and rather facinating to think that my family line goes back this far.

I am Riffian living in Hollanda and went three times to the Islas Canarias! Such beatiful beaches and people!! Fuerteventura, Gan Canaria and the small Lanzarote!!
I am very proud of the Guanche that want to preserve their original culture and are proud to be of Amazigh descent.
