  • That is true about repentance but from my experience, a change of heart & mind ALWAYS lead to a change of behavior, although a change of behavior doesn't necessarily shows a change of heart & mind. Hence, the repentance always lead to fruits/results or what you call works. Works are necessary not as they save us but they are the proof of our salvation.

  • 1Sam15:29 says ".......the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent; for he is not a man, that he should repent". Without an understanding of historical language and context, the passages mentioned in video would be self-refuting.

The meaning of the word "repent" has changed over time, as most modern scholars agree, using the words "regret" or "grieve" in most of the English translations instead of "repent". GOD is GOD of all things past, present, and future and does not change HIS mind.

  • Even satan and his demons BELEIVE in JESUS and tremble, Bro. This, though, is not enough to save them. Repentence is NOT the same as WORKS! Repentence is PROOF of belief/faith in God through Jesus Christ. If you do not turn away from your sin as evidenced in your life(fruit of the spirit), then you are NOT saved, only deceived, because when JESUS changes your heart, repentence is the natural response. LUKE 13:5 says ....but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

  • @Infidelrf Who told you that? James 2:19 says the devils believe in one God. That's completely different than trusting in Jesus Christ as their Saviour. You can believe in God and go to hell. The devils know there is a God, but they don't trust in Jesus Christ. Repent doesn't mean to turn from sin. God repented more than anyone in the Bible. Repent is to change what you believe.

What must I do to be saved?

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Act 16:30-31

  • @Figsx

Amen. I was debating this earlier today and someone else brought up that silly idea about how Satan and the Demons BELIEVE in God.

Of course they do! LOL! They have SEEN God! LOL!

Anyway, I repented one time. Changed from non belief to belief! :-)

  • @Figsx While repentance is not a work that earns salvation, repentance unto salvation does result in works. It is impossible to truly and fully change your mind without that causing a change in action.

The "evidence of things not seen" in Heb.11:1(KJV), is the "fruit of the spirit" caused by a heart supernaturally changed by God.

Someone who continues to live their old sinful life without the "evidence" of a changed heart after confessing Christ - is not saved, only deceived.

    Read 2Cor5:17

  • @Figsx To think that someone can be saved by simply changing their mind, as if it is an act of the INTELLECT, is a modern day perversion of the gospel known as EASY BELIEVISM.

It is a "new-age" re-interpretation which was never preached historically by Godly men.

Salvation and regeneration are SUPERNATURAL acts of the Most High God, which results in a changed life, as a spiritual response to the prompting of God's Holy Spirit.

If the Holy Spirit indwells anyone they WILL be changed, period.

  • @Figsx 1 John 2: 3-4 "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him".(KJV)

    1John1:6

"If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth".(KJV)

Clearly, walking in darkness and not keeping to His commandments, while at the same time saying we know Him are the marks of an unbeliever or a false Christian.

  • whats the will of the father believe in the LORD JESUS AND LOVE GOD AND YOUR NEIGTHBOR WHIT ALL YOUR HEART THATS THE COMANDMENT OF GOD

  • Hebrews 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. GOD BLESS

  • @Cool2fool Romans 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

  • Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

  • if you got to work for something can it be a gift? when you work 40 hours and you get a paycheck do you concider it a gift our do you say ive earned this. this is why salvations is a gift because no man can earn it only Jesus. if your trusting Jesus and works your tusting yourself to get into heaven. its gotta be 100% Jesus and 0% me if not im not trusting in him fully. my faith is in my self and if you do trust your self you will die and get what you think you earned and that is HELL!

  • i believe in liveing for Christ because i love Jesus cause he saved me but to besaved and God to heaven all someone has to do is Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. God Made salvation a Gift be cause ever man is a sinner rom 3:23 you cant clean your own sin you have to trust that Jesus cleaned your sins. Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

  • How about meditating on what John the baptist told the religious folk...Luke 3:[7] Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

[8] BRING forth therefore FRUITS WORTHY of REPENTANCE. When someone has CEASED from ALL sin, this is EVIDENCE that God's Spirit is IN them, nothing we do, but the Spirit that's IN us, amen.

  • @HolySpiritDwells Amen. This guy is in error, not knowing scripture nor the power of God

  • Matthew 9:13 - ...I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. If God did not intend for us to repent of sins, they why didn't he ask both righteous and sinners to simply "repent"? God wants sinners to repent of what? Sins. Repents means "to change one's mind for better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of one's past sins". It involves a turning with contrition from sin to God; the repentant sinner is in the proper condition to accept the divine forgiveness."

  • Abraham works justified his faith. Your life style prove that you have faith to begin with. "therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things have passed away."

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?

By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

  • @Cool2fool Romans 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

  • @Cool2fool amen

  • Technically " choosing" God requires works. so within, before the statement is made the argument will self refute itself. We must be reformed in our theology before we can began to understand who Jesus is and acty WHY we need Him

  • @theembracedofgod Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

  • @moedizzl3

Works is a natural fruit of salvation, not a journey to it. If it was up to our works, then Christ would be purposeless and His death would be in vain. surely we all will be damed if it was of works.

  • @theembracedofgod if work is a natural fruit of salvation than there cant be such a thing as faith without works James 2 if faith in Jesus = salvation and salvation = work than how could there be faith without works. if you live like the word God cant use you but that doesnt mean he wont save you. we should Do the works if you want to have the power of the Holy Ghost resting upon you but in order to be save all you have to do is have faith if some one has to have works than no one would be able

  • @moedizzl3... "How could there be faith without works", I'm wondering if this was a question. How is one able to have faith in the first place? Eph 2:8 "for by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God". God is the one who grants you the ability to do anything.... like I said, if works was all there was then we are in very big trouble.

  • @theembracedofgod if your trusting works plus Jesus than your in big trouble you have to trust Just Jesus and work for your rewards in Heavan but not to get into heaven.

  • @moedizzl3 but we already know who produces our fruit, John 15 beats this drum consistently wouldn't you agree?

  • @theembracedofgod was samson able to repent of his sin? was king Sual able to repent of his sins? Noah Die a drunk. the only thing that condemns someone to hell is what they believe. John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

  • @moedizzl3

    Samson- I think so

    Saul- less likely

    Noah-pretty sure

Pharaoh? absolutely not, he was made for judgement.

I'd say those who are drawn, truly repent... but thats is totally because of the work of the Holy Spirit changing the individual for repentance

  • @theembracedofgod this is the reason why you should not sin Psalms 89:30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; Psalms 89:31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; Psalms 89:32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. Psalms 89:33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

  • @moedizzl3

yup. But not God's elect, because we are made righteous in the image of Christ... that is the doctrine of justification.

These would apply in judgement of the people of Israel- but we are not the people of Israel... we are of a new covenant.. a better covenant.

  • @theembracedofgod Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

Romans 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

  • @moedizzl3 right, made righteous through the election of God, as chosen people.... we don't literally become jews, if thats what you want the text to say.

  • @moedizzl3

you understand the relevance of God's decree with our ability to preach the gospel to everyone? We preach Christ to jew or gentile, that doesn't make them saved as the parable of the sower explains since that the message (seed) is not always received nor produce fruit. salvation is of those who believe which is not of those who parish who don't believe... its not that they are not willing, but because God is not drawing them. If Christ died for every person, then it was in vain.

  • @theembracedofgod Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever. Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God. no one group is better or more speical than any other. John 3:16 he did it for the word.

  • @moedizzl3

Romans 2:11 is speaking of Judgement- showing no partiality.

John 3:16, He did what for the world?

  • @theembracedofgod he died for the sins of the world it is his will that all would accept the gift of eternal life. it is for all that will accept it... John 6:44 "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 12:32 (Jesus Speaking) "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." its a free gift for every man.

  • @moedizzl3

right, He in general died for jews and gentiles- and that is the context He laid His life down for His sheep as in John 10. It is a free gift... but its not for everyone obviously since not everyone is going to heaven. Unless you hold to a universalist worldview then you have a problem with scripture. No one has the ability to come to Christ unless they be drawn, (not everyone living are being drawn) pay attention to the contexts.

  • @theembracedofgod bye forreal this time....

  • @theembracedofgod

    What is eternal life?

How is eternal life accomplished? (How is God able to make eternal life existent?)

  • @theembracedofgod this is the Doctrine of Justification Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto JUSTIFICATION of life. IT IS A GIFT OF GOD "NOT OF WORKS NOT OF WORK" lest any man should boast.

  • @moedizzl3

of course all those who are drawn by the Father, remember John 6:37-66?

  • @theembracedofgod What i think does not matter but what the Bible saids do matter its the only truth on earth. God Bless Bro i got to get some shut eye.

  • @moedizzl3

I agree, however, when presuppositions come in we both may have some conflict... thats why I will address the context of the scriptures with you.

  • @theembracedofgod cause we will suffer on this earth Gods wrath but he will not take away his loveing kindness just like noah was raped for his drunking ness King Sual last everything because of his sin Samson was tied up spit at and blinded David lost all his 4 children and his kingdom because of his sin just like Moses didnt enter into the promise land on earth but guess what the were all saved by Grace.

  • @moedizzl3

"they were all saved by Grace", In what context? peanut butter grace doesn't save anyone, it teaches two things, either universalism, or casinoism/molinism (God takes chances, and fails)

  • @theembracedofgod i dont think you can repent of suiside like samson and King Saul did and they went to heven. because Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. what sin does is distroy a persons life on earth but to be saved all you have to do is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ put all your trust on him 100% and he will save you no doubt about it.

  • @moedizzl3

romans 11:29, of course is speaking about the Jews and gentiles, but the "all" is being misunderstood committing the fallacy of equivocation to apply it to "every living person past present future" sense. of course if you forced it to mean this, then you have to force universalism.

  • @theembracedofgod Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

  • @theembracedofgod to be saved on there death bed dead faith and alive on fire faith can both save you be cause Jesus saved the thief on the Cross he didnt get a chance to repent of his sins. salvations is a position i once was lost now im found. repenting is something a Christians has to do everyday not for salvaion but to please God out of love and because you want to be used of God but if a person is trusting to for salvation there trust is not on Jesus 100%

  • @moedizzl3

I don't really understand your position on the matter, however,

To please God? Where is that in the bible? God does not need you or me. Its of pure Grace that He has revealed Himself to us. That in itself is all we need to know that we are needing Him. He first draws, then we come, then we are risen on the last day.

  • @theembracedofgod Matthew 7:21-22 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful WORKS?

  • @moedizzl3

right, those who have a false faith (christian pretenders), This comment merely begs the question

Who are those who do the will of the Father? and how are they able to do wonderful Works?

  • @moedizzl3 only by the power and work of the Holy spirit of course.

  • @theembracedofgod easy John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

  • @moedizzl3 read on to verse 66, ^.^

  • @theembracedofgod its easy to be saved thats why its called the Gospel the "Good News" its all about 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and Romans 10:9-10 Epheians 2:8-9 thats salvaion from Gensis to Revelation. Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. Just like Noah Found Grace I found Grace Jesus Christ the Same yesturday today and forever.

  • @moedizzl3

ya, it is very good news, however, I'd like to add why it is easy to be saved- God is the one who does all the prepping and drawing, thats why Grace is a gift and not a reward.

  • People act like jerks about theology. I can make a case both for freewillism and reformed theology. The deciding factor is my experience with God. Calvinism takes the contradictions away. Many people believe on Jesus to have been resurrected but the bottom line is do they know the Creator, alpha and omega? Look at Matthew 7:13-22, Rev 3:15:16. As we grow with the Lord we become overcomers and too many people have a card in their head to say WORKS! Faith without works is dead.

  • Not everyone who said Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, But who DO the will of My Father!!!

If some one is doing the will of God the heavenly Father, he is repenting, becouse naturaly we are all sinners: we DO'NT do the will of God. If someones mind chances and turn his back to sin (repent) then he starts to Do the will of the Father in heaven.

I hope you repenting daily in your life pretty faced youngman. If you're not, than you're not a Christian. Because that is the proof...

  • @LeMagdalin "And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:40

  • @LeMagdalin "And this is his commandment, That we should BELIEVE on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment." (I John 3:23).

Fellowship and being saved are two different things. I John 1:6 is saying that if you say your born again and living for God yet you are in sin, you a liar and you're not right with God. It doesn't mean you're not saved. Your good works won't save you.

  • "In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth" - 2 Tim 2:25

Repentance implies faith as much as faith implies repentance. One cannot divorce one from the other. God grants repentance. It is not a human work. If it were a human work then believing would be too.

  • Friend according to the clear teaching of the Bible there can be no salvation without geniune repentance of sin toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ(Lk13:3;Acts20:21). The Apostle Paul commanded the Corinthian church in 2 Corinthians 12:20-21 to repent & weeped that many of them did not repent from their fornication, lasciviousness, & other sins that would damn their souls in hell (1Cor6:9-11). Repentance of sin shows that faith in Christ Jesus is real, & not false(Matt7:21-23).

  • Repentance is clearly not a works salvation according to the Bible.Jonah 3:8-10 clearly talks about how genuine repentance of sin demonstrates genuine faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. "And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way..."(Jonah3:10). Their works demonstated that they had unfeigned faith. John the Baptist said, " Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance"(Matt3:8).Our works cannot save us(Eph2:8-9), only God's grace, & true faith shows repentance(Jam2:17-26).

  • The greek word for repent means a change of mind ..I think long ago people got penitence and repentance confused and then preached it ..I am reminded of Rock of Ages .." Could my tears forever flow .Could my zeal no respite know ..This for sin CANNOT atone..Though must save and THOU ALONE..In my hands no price i bring simply to the cross i cling."

  • Repent actually means 'change of mind', rather than "turn".

Im sure you see how desiring to turn from sin, and turning from sin are 2 different things.

Good job on upholding the eternal security of the saints.

  • Oh really? You are not making sense young lad. You are leading soul astray and jeopardizing you soul into damnation.

  • Dude you got it all wrong it is Jesus Christ who died on the cross for your sins you are not saved by works you stop sinning by making Jesus Christ your lord watersand savior

  • Repentance means you shall not repeat the same sin you did before. But you shall do the same sin again but then you should repent again and again and again until you stop completely.if you repent and do sin and then repent again ur on the right path

  • At the cross Jesus gave you all that He is and all that He has, His Glory, not because you deserve it but because it's a free gift from Him because He loves you, He is your inheritance and He has given you everything that pertains to life and to godliness and you never have to strive or earn anything from Him, because He already gave you all of Himself at the cross, just receive of His goodness and don't try to strive or try to work for His love, just receive all that He has given you.

  • live in our new nature, because if you believe in Jesus Christ, then in Him you are a new creation in your spirit man and by faith you can walk in the new man, and sin does not have ot have any dominion over you because you're in Christ and the Holy Spirit is here to help us resist sin, but never try to resist sin without Jesus, always ask Jesus to help you because He went through all the tempations that you go through and He can help you. the Holy Spirit can help you.

  • Yeah, repentance is turning to Jesus and receiving forgiveness of your sins, in no way can we do anything to earn salvation by trying to not sin or trying to be holy because that's trying to do it in ourselves. Jesus already did everything for us during His whole ministry, He was tempted in every thing we are tempted in yet He was sinless, and it was all finished at the cross, it's all Him, not us. But by faith and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit we can die to our old nature and

  • Rom 6:15 KJV - What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Rom 6:16 KJV - Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

  • Jam 2:17 KJV - Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Jam 2:18 KJV - Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Jam 2:19 KJV - Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Jam 2:20 KJV - But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

  • Repentance of sin is our reasonable service, not works as defined by God. Romans 12 [1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

  • You did a really good job on this video. THANKS

  • who is the parable of the seed ad the sower to?

  • Mark 4:14 The sower soweth the word.

Gal. 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to to thy seed, which is Christ.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Jesus Christ is the seed or the Word which is God in the flesh

  • U hit it right on the nose! The reason people dont understand is because they dont consider what paul says! And paul says to wrightly divide in 2 tim 2:15. Once u understand that thin you start see the thuth! Keep on preaching the word correctly!

  • You and Genoark would get along---LOL, kiddin, good video.

  • Brother, thank you for standing up for salvation through FAITH ALONE IN CHRIST ALONE.

  • 5 star well said brother

  • To believe on Jesus changes your behavior, if it does not then you dont believe.

  • I do believe by being saved you can please God, but you don't automatically change.

Rom.4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

You can be disobedient towards God or do no "works" of the law and still believe that Christ died for you sins and he gives you eternal life (once saved, always saved). We shouldn't continue in sin but grace will still abound because Christ all ready paid for my future sins.

  • And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

    Luke 24:47

  • But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and [then] to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

    Acts 26:20

  • this satanic doctrine is what sends many to hell. repentance is a change of heart and/or mind. if your heart is changed you would turn away from sin. you would hate what god hates. so yes, if you repent you would turn away from sin.

the "believe" thing this guy said is totaly WRONG. do you know how many "beleive" in god? what about those who cried "lord, lord" and were still sent to hell! they swore to goodness that they knew jesus. they were sent to hell because they did not live by gods will

  • of course they didn't live by God's will, they thought that their "repenting of sins" was worth more than the blood of Jesus Christ. The will of God is for mankind to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • you contradict yourself. and the will of god is not for us to believe in jesus christ if you wantr to get technical. he will is to have all men saved.

repentance is what leads to salvation. the blood of jesus is what made being saved possible

  • i believe the doctrine of repentance, just not the perverted definition that says that you have to turn from sin (which is impossible in this life).

  • well the bible says that we must do it so im sorry but we have to. if not.. to bad for us.. we wont be with him. its not about the power within us to turn away, its what the holly spirit will help us with.

  • we repent when we turn from religion to Jesus

you can turn from sin to righteous livivg

how can you turn from sin to Jesus?

  • no you can't. if you do not repent and turn away, you cannot turn to righteous living.

how can you turn from sin to jesus? by believing in him. and believing in him is not only to acknowledge he exsist but it means to obey aswell. if you only believe without obeying that is living like a hypocrite and wrath will be upon whoever lives that way.

  • i believe on, not in.

muslims, mormons, catholics all believe in(acknowledge) a Jesus.

saved people are those who believe on(trusting)

there is something called the "works of the law"

the law says do not steal, everytime you don't steal you done a work of the law.

we're not going to heaven based on anything we do (obeying, persevering, etc). we go to heaven because of our faith in the blood of Jesus

  • wrong. we must obey. those who do not obey face god's wrath.

  • @vj5467 beliveing in God is not what saves you you Have to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

  • @vj5467 you have to accept Jesus as your only way to heaven take it as a gift of grace by faith if you go any other way than your gonna end up short cause Gods Standrds of sin are way hire 1 single lie even a white lie can send someone to hell. Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

  • this video is complete garbage. it makes no sense. this guy doesn't even know what it means to believe

  • bro this was excellent

  • God bless you, brother. If one turns to Jesus Christ for salvation by faith, he has invariably repented. He has agreed with God that he is a sinner and he has TURNED to the Saviour for forgiveness. Thank God our salvation is not dependent on our works but is secured by the seal of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). 5 stars.

  • Do appreciate all your support, I'm going out to sea again so I will see if I can make more videos in the future.

  • great video man! Keep up the good work.

  • 3:04 <-- Amen!

We need to get you back in the pulpit, brother. This is great!

  • Great Video! People really need to udnerstand what the word "repent" means. It doesnt have anything to do with sin or feeling guilt.

  • I agree 100%

  • Christians these days sometimes are afraid of using the word repent.

I isn't bad to use, but the problem is that there are so many false teachings that everyone believes that repent of your sins is what that means. That's not it at all. Repentance is simple when we realize the truth of the Gospel, whereas before we didn't believe the truth. Great video. Keep fighting the false doctrines of today's churches.

  • Yea but if you truly believe in Jesus you will turn away from sin and stop doing the things that you previously was doing. If you truly have faith in Jesus you can't do evil and feel fine because If you were of God's child, the Holy Spirit will be convicting you of your sins. Only those who do the will of God is my brothers sisters and mother. If you aren't doing that you can't be called a believer because Jesus will deny those who never change their lifestyle for Him. WHO IS THE TRUE BELIEVER?

  • What is the will of the Father?

John 6:40 (KJV) And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

You're just a heretic staight out of hell.

  • "WHO IS THE TRUE BELIEVER?"

    um...

    the one who believes?

    isn't that what believer means??

Otherwise we should be called slaves or workers or something.

No we are God's children, and though we may slip, God sill loves us and when we die we are going to Heaven, because our faith isn't built upon what we do after salvation.

Our faith is built upon Jesus Christ.: the ROCK of our salvation.

  • Amen,

I have $10 in my pocket.

    Do you believe me?

Did you have to repent of your

    sins to believe me?

Did you have to do some yard work

to believe me? or do some cleaning

around my house to believe me?

  • Whether or not I believe doesn't change the fact that you have $10 in your pocket.

Of course, I DO believe you...

  • If you truly believed in Jesus you wouldn't sin. because then you would know what sin does to God and you wouldn't be disobedient if your faith in God was genuine. You would Listen to Him and follow Him diligently for the glory of the King, seeking Heavenly things. no but you don't know Him and you don't believe Him to the extent of worshipping and seeking God daily. Living an unholy life shows u don't believe in God because you don't fear God at all nor love Him because you can't believe fully

  • Galatians 2:21

I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

  • This is your opinion. To believe is to BELIEVE. God is not the God of confusion. He isn't playing a game here. He said believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. If you thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved! I trust God. Amen!

  • That's not the ONLY statement Jesus said, Mt 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Mt 5:30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell

Heb 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

  • In Matthew 7:21 the Lord Jesus said "...but only he who doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven."

What is the will of the Father? Take a look at John 6:40: "And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and BELIEVETH on him, may have everlasting life: and I WILL raise him up at the last day."

There is no contradiction there as you seem to insist. What are you trusting in for your salvation? Jesus Christ or your own efforts?

  • if you want to say that, you must IGNORE EVERYTHING Jesus spoke about people going to hell. I know this for one thing if you don't forgive those who sinned against you, you can't receive ANY forgiveness either.

  • I am not saying ignore anything that Jesus said. I am saying to rightly divide scripture as the Apostle Paul instructed us to do (2 Timothy 2:15). Jesus earthly ministry to Israel is NOT the same Gospel given to the Apostle Paul AFTER Jesus' death and ressurection so there are certain aspects of the kingdom gospel that you cannot mix with the gospel of the GRACE of God and expect it to make sense!

  • What Biblical proof do you have that the gospel preached from Jesus is different from the gospel that the apostles preached?!! "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid." (Rom6:1-2)

  • In this age, we are saved by grace through faith and NOT of ourselves. It is the GIFT of God, lest any man should boast (Eph. 2:8-9). If the things you are saying were true, then people would be walking around boasting about how good they are when it is clear that there is none righteous but Jesus Christ the righteous.

  • For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor." (1Thes4:3-4)

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:3,4 and Romans 6:1,2 are not reffering to salvation. Good works are good and profitable unto men (Titus 3:8). Not unto salvation. Not even the wages of sin itself - death - can seperate born-again believers from the love of Christ (Romans 8:38).

  • genoark...you have to understand...everyone else's Bible is real big...their bible only has about ten verses in it...they remove all of the other pesky verses that speak about obedience, holiness, repentance and righteousness...

they are glassy eyed cultists...the have drunk the kool aid..you can show them refutation from scripture until Jesus comes back and they won't see the truth until the angel tosses them into the lake of fire...they make a mockery of God's grace..He will not be mocked!

  • @genoark Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

  • @moedizzl3 then live without repentance. see if u go to heaven or not. kill people , fornicate on internet do whatever you want see if you're still saved by faith. for that is called dead faith. faith without works is dead my friend.

  • He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. (Prov28:13)

  • No one should be going to the book of proverbs to get their salvation message.

Paul says: But NOW the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: Rom 3:21-22 (emphasis)

Keep in the word and you'll understand it. You're works in your flesh have nothing to do with your salvation.

  • genoark,

they do not believe in the Jesus of the Bible..they have been sold into an heretical cult built upon a magic genie Jesus that is more than happy to be murdered for us and let us lives lives of unrighteousness then he will happily bring us into heaven.

they will not be so happy when they me the true, righteous and Holy God.

May God have mercy on them and open their eyes before it is too late
