This sure was an amazing hunt! I still can't believe it. 8 silvers between the two of us and those two gold rings. Oh man. I can't believe it'll be two weeks before I can get another weekend hunt in. Maybe the wife will allow something? Till then, a few morning weekday hunts will have to do. Congrats on all those silvers bud!

@219erman Now that is kewl. The DFX also is suppossed to have possibilites of identifying gold more accurately using the non normalized vdi setting. I need to commit to learning this. Just goes to show we can always learn and be challenged.

Dave, that was incredible, thanks again for taking us along. I set my machine up so that it won't detect zinc pennies, and I rarely dig the deeper nickel signals because it most often turns out to be a pull tab. I have a garrett detector. I wonder how much better the etrac is. Was that field the site of the worlds fair or something?

I don't know...........I have owned a bunch of Garrett machines & have done well with them Dasdfjkl ...I think I have to give credit to the DD- Coil............Great seperation in the trash !!!!

That is proably $300 worth of gold that is one hell of a day. Dave don't weep you are consistant on the silver that gold is so rare and the silver is slowly being scooped up by the detectorists eventually all there will be are places so full of junk you rather run a sifter than dig targets.
