I think you did a GREAT first jump! After my first AFF jump I was so outta it that I took my rig off...couldn't wait to get it off of me...I was a total retard after the first 5 or 6 jumps then settled down. I landed on my ass the first 4 times (couldn't tell how high I was) but then finally stuck it. Blue Skyz, Baby!!
im going skydiving with hubby next week...he's doing tandem and ive decided to put myself up for the AFF1 course just for the feel of it. I haven't done tandem before and am quite nervous bout it, but so keen! Was it hard trying to control the chute down to the ground?
i felt the same way about the video of my first tandem jump. the guy asked me stupid questions that annoyed me the whole time and he filled the thing with crappy slow-mo and terrible music. whenever i watch it i have to endure green day, good charlotte, bret michaels and two minutes of the video guy parachuting. big waste of money.
I asked the videographer at the DZ if he could load my video on an external hard drive or flash drive so I could edit it myself, and he was more than happy to. So maybe ask next time you go.

Looked great! I am doing my AFF 1 in 2 weeks and am so worried about the landing. I feel better now....that really wasn't so bad! :)

i finished aff almost a month ago. it was surprisingly easy controlling the canopy (much easier than a car) :)

It wasn't my editing, the video guy did the reverse motion stuff. I was actually a little appalled at the quality of it, but oh well.

No, you dont. At least not where I come from. You do your first jump with two instructors, but noone by your side in canopy...

I had to go through a 4 hour class in the morning, and then I did AFF 1 in the afternoon.
