I think there are three possible reasons

1-When she was seen in her first gay roll including a loesbian sceen kiss(I think it was Once and Again) She acted it so well that more directors wanted her for there lesbian films.

2-She could very well be gay. No one noes(And dnt n e 1 say she aint cuz she cud be hideing it)

3- She's a very good actress and can play the part of a lesbian very well.
