i really dug the film. and the whole film seemed to be leading up to the closing line "the only thing worse than being alone is being with people who make you feel alone" it's a complex film i think. it Does have a lot of comic moments but comedy isn't the template, they come out of it.

Sam Kinison? I don't think so. Neither Robin nor Bob are even remotely similar in delivery. ALL comics copy. But Robin and Bob did a LOT more ORIGINAL material.

Listen or watch Denis Leary if you want to rage. A lot of people think Leary not only mined Bill Hicks and Kinison material, but even the whole "Post-Modern Angry-Man" schtick. How much of Leary's material can you say is original?

I've sometimes found Robin Williams's humour to be a bit too over the top for me (although I've always loved him by default, him being the Genie and all), but I'm so happy seeing him being so happy here. He's clearly really relishing life after that heart surgery, and I hope he loves every minute of it. Good man!
