well am not exactly with this one........there are ways to be warm.... yeah having a fire place is nice and romantic. But i think a nice quilted "comforter" made from old cloth would be a nicer way to snuggle up and get warm :)
thats not a warm, roaring, or even pleasant looking fire... you should try something else... and burning wood is the least of our ecological problems.
I just don't see people adopting/buying these "eco cans" when you can easily get wood for free (assuming you live in a green area, if not then these eco cans are cheaper than buying wood).
I'd love to be wrong on this, but since our planet is entering a recession, I think burning wood is going to be apart of America for the next decade (or two).
well, if u do use wood, try placing large stones of some kind in with the wood. it will help with airflow so there will be less smoke and burn hotter and hold heat for a while after the flames have burned down. Also, if u use the right stones, it can look very appealing as well
no. it is not promoting consumerism. as michelle said at the beggining of the video, burning wood and the like is somwhat detrimental to the environment and also can be costly. this is a substitute for burning wood to create heat and a feature for an entertainment area. this is what people dont understand when it comes to sustainable design.
yeah i agree, they are promoting consumerism, if you have warm clothes then wrap yourself, Most of the western people specially the US citizens are brainless,
Before you call any group of persons brain-less, make sure that you are able to properly spell, use complete sentences , and know how to punctuate correctly, moron.

is not really ecologic or green or nothing... Wrap up yourself if you feel cold.
Not consuming things like this is green it yourself really.
Sorry for my bad english ;)
