It compliments for your job. Truly they are admired what you have made. You remove a curiosity to me, exists a system because the train it does not fall or it derails?
Thanks for answering back. When I was a kid growing up in NYC there was a restaurant called "Hamburger Express" which had Lionel trains with flat cars that held dishes and served you your burger and fries. My dad took me there a-lot!
Hello! I live in England and am hoping to have a model train running around my shop, but I don't know the first thing about it! I would like to have it at eye-level, but am worried about doorways getting in the way of the continuous circuit!? Do you have any tips or advice, or know of any useful websites?
Thanks for comment. Eye-level is a problem because of the doors as you say. I would lift it above the doors to avoid this. Websites? I'm not sure, I never found any when I built mine, and that's mainly the reason why I started on my project... Have a good evening:)
wow this is sipmly awesum..im also working on a similar project..but right now still in design stage! i liked ur idea of using transparent supports that makes it very elegant and dosent destroy the room's decore! can i pls know what you have used for tracks? they dont seem the regular kind.
question: how the CRAP did you do that thing where it appeared to go over thin air at 1:14??? and secondly, i agree with WilbertVereAwdry, no roadbed would scare me(that it would fall) good vid though
I did the same one time. Only I had one of those spiral track thingies in the corner. That came down to a table top, switch yard. That was real impressive and exciting. Your either single or old. LOL
if i ever did that (which i hope to some day) I would never put a long piece of track up there without a roadbed like you did. Frankly, that would scare the shit out of me (that they would fall)! Great, amazing job!
Are they all Lima cars? I had an identical 4-wheel Coke van which was accidentally stood on and both axle holders (real word?) on one side were snapped off. It now has a set of bogies from a Bachmann car and runs better than before!
Wow!!Now this just goes to show you can put a layout anywhere.Have you had an accidents with anything coming off the track??Very ingenious idea for a railway.Great video too.Thank you.
Fortunately there have been few accidents, but one time i managed to start a train with instant full power in a curve.About fifteen cars derailed, and it took me several hours and a lot of glue to repair them
Thank you for info.I have another question for you. What scale are the trains,HO? And how did you get the idea for running the trains around the halogen light track?Would you be able to do a video with the camera on board the train at all please?
I got the idea when a train passed by my house, while i was reading a track lighting commercial.I tought it wold be fn for guests in my house to watch a train suddenly appear on the wall.
It ws also an interesting challenge to construct a model railroad track that looks like a common home lighting.
I have yet to find a small enough camera to fit on a car. Though i plan to make such a video.
This is one of those projects that is caused by the momentum of similar genious works that transfers the momentum of creativity to another who is truly intrigued by another's work to kepp that creative momentum going. I have been intrigued in this way by your creative work
I used the Di3 locomotive(H0)to determine the distance between the crossties. I wanted as few of them as possible.Heavier locomotives must lose weight before they can run on the track.
Hello Sir. I am very impressed with this concept of layout building. I have been in the hobby for many years and it is an intriguing idea. What is the transparent material that you used? Arylic? Plexiglass? How thick? Thank you. Excellent work!
Is this Ho or O scale; it's hard to tell. Also, are those steel rails above the lighting, and what is keeping them in gauge other than the acrylic supports? Beautiful home, btw.
Thanks for your comment. The scale is H0. The rails are stainless steel, four millimeter round bar.And the gauge is kept in place by the rigidity of the rails.

@massiforo Sorry for late reply.
There is no system to catch a falling train. The track needs to be accurate to prevent derailments.

"Bogies" or "Trucks" are proper terms. Bogie is more European, & Truck s more American. Both are interchanged frequently in America.

Takk.
Di2en fikk litt for høy fart. Den går ellers veldig stille.
Nohaben har også alt for høy fart i avvik,
men den måtte ha full gass (12 volt) for å klare å trekke toget.
