1. It's ironic that the very same people that called The Distillers "not real punk" now say, compared to Spinnerette that it was true punk!! 2. Brody and Tony said Spinnerette was not punk, it's a melodic and fun project- NOT Distillers part two. 3. Punk has acquired an iconic image and sound, but the core of it is saying and doing what you honestly feel. If that sound evolves into something else-- don't institutionalize standards-- that's what punk rock was made to fight against! Let it go!

Stop spending so much time deciding whether or not something is "punx" enough for you to listen to. She's still the same old Brody that pounded heroin into herself for years. Musically, "Crazy Young Peelin" by the Distillers was about as punk as Simple Plan. Grow up.
