  • I thought avocado was high in omega 6 and that too much omega 6 is a cause of inflammation???

  • @ilikelimegreen1234 I actually addressed this exact question on my blog... if you go to my blog and type in 'avocado' to the search bar it will come up with the article

  • What vitamins do you recommend taking daily?

  • Is it true that spinach causes acne?? i heard since its high in iodine :/

  • @Porsche7905 Not across the board... some people's acne can be aggravated by iodine, but definitely not everybody's. So if you are sensitive to increased iodine, then maybe spinach isn't a good food for you.

  • I think i love you.

  • great vid only thing is your hair scared the crap out of me

  • I have to add one to that list and that is ginger. Ginger is an incredible spice known for its anti- inflammatory properties, and you can use it fresh, dried or candied. Great for aching joints.

  • @rj2837 You're right! I love ginger... I just made a video that I will post at some point about how to make a ginger tea!

  • This is really spot on.. I agree with most of your numbers haha!! However, I don't think that enough people understand the truth about food and how it affects our skin =/.

  • @cleanandcleared no they don't! Keep spreading the word!

  • your skin looks great!! i cant wait for your next video!!

  • your skin is SOOOOO GOOD i would so cream your face up with my .........moisturiser ? lol

  • @DHammerr Ew! :/

  • your skin is so clear and amazing! did you ever get scarring and if so how did you treat them?

  • @turbobielaaa Thank you! I am lucky that I never got any pitted or raised scars... and my pigmentation scars all went away! A healthy lifestyle will do that... visit my blog and put "acne scars" in the search bar to get some more tips about how to get rid fo them :)

  • do you have any tips on cooking or baking with coconut oil? does the strong coconut taste dissipate when you heat it up? I tried using coconut oil instead of regular oil when making gluten-free brownies and they came out awful :(

  • @ADIctedToBeauty I've never noticed my food tasting like coconuts... but maybe some people can detect it, I don't know. What was wrong with your brownies? Are you positive it was the coconut oil's fault? Have you made the same ones with a different oil and they were good?

  • @thelovevitamin really? any recipes? maybe you could do a video on some recipes incorporating the foods you mentioned... ya i made the same recipe again using sunflower oil and it came out really good.

  • @ADIctedToBeauty Hmm I'm not sure what the problem is with cooking with baking with coconut oil... never really tried it :/

  • Great video Tracy. You look very stress free today.

  • Well....do you have any advice for the vegetarians out there? (I eat like a vegan actually, because I'm allergic to dairy products). Since finding out about my food allergies I've been pretty limited to what I can eat so I SORT OF tried getting used to the possibility of eating meat again, but I just don't think I could do it. I think I would throw up :X I love animals too much!

  • @thiscouldgetweird2 do you eat eggs? I would advise getting creative with eggs..

  • @thelovevitamin I am allergic to egg whites too! I hope animal products isn't a necessity for having clear skin...

  • It does help.... they do have a lot of nutrients. Just eat a lot of vegetables and whatever else you would eat, plus rice, beans, etc... and eat egg yolks for nutrients. You can also get ghee, which is clarified butter without any of the allergenic dairy proteins.. it's just pure dairy fat. It's very nutritious.

  • dr. perricone anyone?

  • if I eat wild salmon about 3 - 5 times a week is it ok/safe to take omega 3 fish oil as well?

  • @hellotwat Yep! the more the merrier

  • thank you!!!! :)

  • Great video! I'm really concerned and alarmed when you said heating Extra virgin oil u makes it toxic. I heat it up almost everyday... CAn you please explain the dangers? Should I stop altogether?

  • @Rydahshit I know, it's not very known, but if you heat any unsaturated fat like that, it denatures it and it turns toxic. It's called it's smoke point, and each oil has a different smoke point... olive oil's is sort of medium low temperature and then above that it goes bad and becomes harmful. Cook with virgin coconut oil instead - the smoke point is super high so it won't go bad. Much healthier

  • @thelovevitamin Wow...ain't that something...I've got to be extra careful with any further exposure to toxins period...so thanks for the advice, I will definitely look into it... thank you for replying and secondly for raising greater awareness to us all :)

  • Hey, I have just started following your channel and I try hard to not touch my skin, but sometime my acne itches. Is it because of inflammation on skin? If so, thanks for the info. Gr8 video nonetheless..

  • @shreya87singh Yes, the inflammation may cause it to itch

  • I'm slightly confused as to why a consumer would go to fish oil for docosahexaenoic acid, if the true source is in fact plant based (the algae the fish eat). Besides eating flax meal or flax oil (which provides both omega 3 & 6), plenty of vegans and vegetarians have known for a long time about where the fish seem to get the abundance of omega 3. It's actually far easier to digest than fish oil too XD.

  • @ShaneyElderberry You're right about the algae, but flax, as far as I know, has useable omega 3s but you have to convert them in your body to EPA and DHA, and the conversion isn't that efficient in most people. So it's better to just eat sources that are already in the EPA and DHA form - fish and fish oil.

  • @thelovevitamin You are correct about the flax seeds and their difficult in being used for omega 3 fatty acids, but the reason I ingest them is because of the ease in which our body can use the omega 6 in them. I may have led you to believe that I use flax for omega 3, now that I look at my older comment and it's vagueness when I mention both the algae and flax (mechanically I could have improved the sentence).
