  • I was wondering how it might have sounded with a danelectro?

  • Okey. Thank you so mutch. Im so happy that you help Me. Thank you :)

  • Ok. I got a better tone now :-) what is youre setting on youre parametric eq? I dont know how it works. Thank you

  • @Firebird191 It would be no use to you to use my eq setting as all cabs will need their own different setting as they all have different frequency ranges. You may find you don't need to use an eq at all, just use your ears. If you think your sound is too trebly then use the eq to cut it etc. but if your sound is good, don't use an eq if you don't need to. Its Good to hear your finally getting a good sound now :)

  • Okej. But Do you like the setup I done? 1/4" out to fx return back of my Hughes & kettner trilogy power amp.

And what eq Do you use in youre chain? Thank you!

  • I run my Pod from 1/4" out to fx return back of my Hughes & kettner trilogy power amp. and from my guitar to guitar in. I have a Randal 4x12 cab. I switch the button from amp to line on top of my hd. And I have the studio/direkt output mode. Is that right?

My chain is wha, Noise gate, dist, amp, end then I use reverb and some delay.

  • @Firebird191 The output mode should be set to poweramp and NOT studio direct.. Studio/Direct mode is for recording or Direct to a PA. also put an eq at the end of your chain on every patch you use and take some treble out, I find that is the most critical part to making it work live.

  • @Firebird191 The way your hooking up your pod to your amp is the correct way. Id maybe try just an ampsim with no distortion stomp box to start with to make it easier to get a good basic tone then when your happy with that sound add in other things you want. try a parametric eq at the end of the chain

  • U playing the pod hd through a power amp and cab? I do It to, But it sounds horrible :( can you tell me what the secret is behind youre lovely sound. How did you connect the pood hd 500. I realy need some help here

  • @Firebird191 yes im using a marshall 9100 power amp through a 4x12 cab here but i have the exact same sound through any power amp/cab ive used with the pod. ill try to help you if i can. What Power amp and cab are you using and what are you using in your pods signal path?

  • @Firebird191 with so many settings on the pod its easy to make it sound

bad. I use a very simple setup for my live sound. I use the angel ball pre sim BASS 7 GAIN 5 MID 9 TREB 6 PRES 5 then back my guitar volume down to about half way /no cab sims or stomp pedals/ i use whammy before the amp sim and a bit of delay after. Also to take away any harshness from the sound i use an eq to lo pass filter at the end of my chain to get rid of any harsh highs that my cab can produce

  • Thans for posting, Chris.

  • @saberfrost1 Cheers Correy.

  • @mrchrisbeaver I should probably piont Out that I prefer 'Saber.' It sounds cooler (In my head XD)

  • Absolutely incredible. Keep pushing your music brother. I love it so much

  • @diamonddust22 Thanks very much

  • @mrchrisbeaver it's an honor my friend.

  • Hooked into PA or an amp? Awesome tone. Awesome song.

  • @Mithologian Thanks, i was playing the pod hd through a power amp and cab

  • @mrchrisbeaver What power amp are you using here?
