Wait a minuet, for how long has he been "42"? lol He also screams more on his American shows because most American cooks are NOT brigade trained. It's harder than it looks for some folks on this show. I had the honor of talking to last seasons winner, Holly Ugrade , and she told me she had never worked in a brigade before the show. She had a high learning curve and that's how she got through it.

@TheCusterCat You have to understand the nature of the kitchen. This is old school,practised for hundreds of years.Think of it this way. It is a bit like the military.The practice of learning how to cook has been "perfected" by the way of intimidation. Over time the methods will change. Newbies will learn to be excellent Chefs without threats and abuse, but it takes time to understand that one can learn to be perfect wihout having a two bit little Hiltler breathing down their necks

Im sure a lot of it is fed by stories about how the classical French Chefs were,but that was yesterday and now there are excellent young Chefs who are not only talented cooks but superb managers as well

@Statimtek I watched Hell's Kitchen once. Safe to say I never watched it again. It was a horrible show, but I did learn one thing: Because of Gordon Ramsay's rampant screaming, cursing, and hurling of dinnerware quickly led me to realise that Ramsay is mentally deranged and is a shocking nasty narcissistic person. He empowers other bullies that it is OK to act like him. Actually he should be flogged and then placed in the stocks so that people can hurl rotten eggs at his ugly vile face.

@SuperSwend Chef actually. I greatly respect chefs who get shit done. I've been yelled at many times. Even broke and punched a wall because I sleep deprived to the point of instability and chef was getting angry that I couldn't work properly.
