Apparently, the event has been moved to next year. This "rescheduling" came just a few days before the scheduled event. It was/is DEFINITELY a scam. It's really disappointing because the concept sounded spectacular. On that point, tho, the event had a different focus depending on who was describing it. You talked about clean living, others talked about men supporting women's natural hair...I think AMQ marketed it anyway they could to lure unsuspecting victims. SHAME!!!
I appreciate your honesty about this event. I became leery when YouTubers began pulling out too. I was wondering if you were still going to participate. I totally value your integrity.
Why don't all the YT Naturals throw their OWN get together.. like a Collective Natural Meet up.. Where we all can travel to a hot spot & empower one another and other considering... have like a Mary K event lol, just with Natural Hair Product like Kinky Kurly, Carol's daughter etc....
Yea I noticed african export was saying something about it.. but she really didn't get deep into it..lol But I felt like there was some tomfoolery probably going on :D... But then u said u were still going so i though well maybe it was for money reasons .. :-/.. Now ur pulling out and I am like ok I c now... Well THANKS for UR HONESTY!!!
Like others who have cancelled their attendance at this event, Thank You for your honesty! It was just people trying to exploit others hard work in the 'new phenomenon' of us Naturalistas for their own gain.
I felt the same. I live in Miami and there is no way I will pay $300 for an event and I know where to party. Not happening. $300 is too steep for a 3 day weekend. I could be spending that on myself and educate myself by watching youtube.
...really went on behind the scenes (or lack thereof), and for standing behind your personal integrity and professionalism by not going through with something that goes against your business (and self) morals. Keep being positive and moving forward!
I have to admit that when everyone started talking about the AMQ event, I thought it sounded "fishy"...and driven more so by money instead of sharing knowledge and empowerment (sorry, being honest). I mean $300+ just for a weekend ticket to the event only? No. It also seemed like they were reaching out to as many natural hair YouTubers as possible in order to capitalize on their viewership. That alone put a "sour taste in my mouth" from the jump. Thank you for being honest, sharing what...
Thank you for clearing up things with the Millions Queen Event. It looked weird from the minute youtubes had videos all at exactly the same time promoting it. I hope you lovely ladies are not taken advantage of like that again. Like bellealfleure I really hope subbies who got tickets can get their money back because the main reason a lot of people would have gone there is just to see you ladies and I really dont think anyone is going anymore.
Ill def be keeping mindful of any promtoions now x
i love watching your videos. your so pleasant that even if its just an update video im learning how to be classy in dealing with even the most frustrating of situations. i hope your blog doesnt take you too for away from YT because you would definitely be missed!!
It is an unfortunate situation, but pulling out was the right decision. I can't put my finger on it, but SOMETHING was off about the whole thing, honestly.
It nice to see you! You look great. Thank you for sharing. Its a shame really. I couldn't afford to go so I'm glad that I did not get a ticket. Hopefully they can get it together and maybe set another date.
I agree, first I thought the site was unprofessional and I also contacted them for information and never got any type of response from them. Glad you pulled out!
I live in miami and i have not heard of this event and asked around have not seen any flyers out concerning the event, no one knows of this event. I think its a scam. good luck!
@organicloc See, that's even weirder to me. It seemed like a very cool event but it doesn't look right to only promote via one avenue..that's odd to me.
Thanks for sharing! Def not cool. Companies want to use YTuber's follower power, but don't want to reciprocate the love honoring the Media Sponsor deal. Agree... That's bad business!
Thanks for your green juice recipe a few videos back. I love it and have shared it with family and friends. They all love it too. So light and refreshing. Just wanted to say thanks. Looking forward to future food videos.
I noticed YouTubers were pulling out and I was glad I didn't decide to go. I figured something wasn't right since everyone was pulling out. That's too bad cuz had they been professional this probablly could have turned out to be an awesome event. SMH Thanks for sharing
I hope people can get a refund b/c so many youtubers are pulling out and it's really unfair to the subbies who paid 300$ a ticket for the event partly to see them, not including airfare or hotel room reservations.
You know what it is so Funny I just Stumbled across your
Video. They actually sent me a Invitation some few months
back. I asked them how much it would cost and what was the
fine print! They never got back in touch with me. It was something
about that just didnt sit right with me. I am so HAppy I didnt join b/c I was so thinking about it at one time! Thx for this Videos...

Maybe I'm naive but the $300 ticket price made the whole event seem weird to me.
