  • I had this game for Amiga, but for some odd reason it froze everytime when I went past the title screen. Damn it.

  • Ahhhh and some more nodtalgic moments of my childhood xD

  • The theme song sounds like farts.

  • there are times like this that i am happy i never owned any home computers but instead consoles. Seriously just compare this with the Capcom games but wait you can`t even dare compare them it would be an insult to those classic Games.

  • I'd be impressed if this were done on hard. Flintduck is hardly that incompetent.

  • this game is slow here because it's likely run in PAL 50hz and on an emulated stock A500... it runs a lot faster if you just run in 60hz, have more ram expanded or run it on a faster amiga. runs really fast on a1200.

  • Wow. The Amiga version looks and sounds a LOT better than the DOS version I played as a kid. It was still a fun game though, though I always avoided the cave levels.

  • nostalgia

  • Love that Norway is spelled Novay .... ^^

  • Technically its against the worlds reality - Scrooge would never sell off his coins :D. Besides that I never seemed to have any issues getting the money when I played it at the time not sure if it was just a fuxed version I had ofc.

  • Wow this is sooo much better than the PC version.

  • How do you know the safety route in caves?

  • @ArMANRazoR

    Savestates ;)

  • @cubex55 Wh-h-a-t? Ah. You are playing on emulator.

  • @cubex55: i just played ducktales for NES .. this amiga game looks pretty crappy

  • Ah, thank you for this nice, long playthrough showing off all the different parts of the game, including getting the rare coin from the money bin. This was my favorite computer game of all time, but the version I used didn't have the annoying voices. lol Sounds, music, and colors were also slightly different.

You're quite good at the game, though, I admire your skill! If you haven't already done so, you should write a walkthrough for the game! I haven't been able to find one.

  • Had this on PC with crappier graphics, wish I could find it somewhere...

  • the mummy always scared the crap out of me

  • at 3:10 pause it and find uncanny resemblence to peter griffen.

had this game when i was a kid tho, easiest way to get cash was photoshooting

  • Well, i've got this game on DOS and it have less colors but it is no too slow.

  • Comment removed

  • I can not read the map. I imagine that the mummy is represented by the blue dot. What is the yellow dot? How to avoid the holes?

  • @thundard I just understand. Avoid the slime

  • @thundard Yellow dot is treasure. I am proud, I figured out, where the holes are, where I was 10 years old :). If is there position, where all the ways, you can go from that position, are leading to "Slime" - there is hole.

  • @libik I made a Longplay on dailymotion (with commentary in French). It remains an excellent game I am not yet arrived to find the treasure in the maze, but I arrived there one day ^ ^.

  • Amiga

  • You seemed to cut out the actual ending for some reason there, chum.

  • @marzsyndrome

I didnt get the actual ending as i didnt reach 1 million :(

  • I loved this game as a kid. I remember playing this back in elementary school.

  • lol, even when landing very carefully you'd always wreck the hangar at the end. One of the best amiga games, the jungle levels were unforgiving though.

Never understood by the way how those small hot air ballons were able to carry numerous pianos, refrigerators etc. :p

  • Sure, the loading times might be a little much, but it does look and sound significantly better than the DOS and the Commodore 64 versions, so at least it's not all bad. :D

  • I remember crashlanding that helicopter/plane more often than not and the times I actually got the treasure in the mace, I can count on one hand. But I loved the game and I was sad when our amiga finally died about 6 years ago - even though I was already 17 ^.^

  • Looool!! The game looks awesome ^^

But Launcpad McQuack looks facking scary!!!!! xD

  • i remember the coding system it was sorta a way for you to need to buy the game so did not get copied.

  • I have this for the C64 and its amazing. For the Amiga, its like C64 on steroids. This is my all time favorite game for home systems even though the flying stages suck ass.

  • It looks a lot richer (graphics-wise) than the MSDOS version

  • Man, this was one of my first Amiga games. I loved it!

  • Thank you cubex55 for all your longplay uploads and helping us all relive these wonderful memories!!!

  • Remember this game so well!

    It was awesome

  • I played this game as a kid for so long, But I was always scared at the part with the cave and the mummy that would suddenly pop out.

  • 1:58

Okey, I know that Scrooge loves money, but come on...

Does he have to "wink wink" at the coin too?!? xD

  • Actually the game wasnt that good, it is easy to get fooled by the Disney graphics.

  • Lol when I hear Louie's jumping:

    ''Im a wolf!''

    XD

  • Easy? For us playing this game back in 1990 when we were seven this game with it's typical weird and unforgiving controls was anything but easy :-P And it's a great game too!

  • This sure was a lot of fun. I always fell down a hole in the cave sections! Managed to beat it maybe once. Well played.

  • Holy shit this looks beautiful on the Amiga. I used to play the DOS version when I was a kid, (I now have DOSBox, so... :)) and the sound was much poorer, and the graphics weren't nearly as nice.

The Amiga just seems like a really cool machine for it's day.

  • Ah, I remember this game from when I was a kid and used to go to the mall and hang out in the toy store. :D

  • Do you Know if you can download this for PC Nowadays? If So Where

  • Read our channel FAQ - ther you get links for the emulator and the game :)

  • Cheers :)

  • Oh!

    I remember this!

I played this when i was about 5-7 years old. And i still love this...

  • Aye, I as well used to play this game on Dos.

and this game is just fucking awesome.

  • Oh I loved that game! I played it on my DOS computer when I was a little kid, with PC Speaker sound. :D I didn't even know there was a version with speech. Yes, it was slow at times, but it was one of my favorites nevertheless.

But why the heck did you always randomly take pictures of all the usual animals? I often made up to $ 6000 by only taking pictures of the unusual ones (pink elephants, flower leopards etc) - you have enough time!

  • The cave game was very memorable. I remember the spooky moments when you had to slip past the mummy and if it hadn't moved for three or four turns, you were terrified that it would move at the wrong moment and intercept you!

Also on higher difficulty levels the green slimes don't initially show up on the map, which means that to play it safe you have to constantly backtrack and peck around until you figure out where the pits are - while your torch gradually burns down.

  • OMG, that security code thing was a pain in the ass. If you didn't have the sheet that came with the game, you were screwed.

  • @fuzzyslippers87 Actually, I never had the sheet that came with the game because I used to play the game on a friend's computer. I didn't even know there WAS such a sheet. LOL! I do remember thinking how annoying it was, but I just used to guess at the password until I got it. Of course, this meant getting kicked out of the game more times than I can count because too many wrong guesses sets off the "Beagle Boy alert," but I eventually managed to get in. lol

  • I have the DOS version for my Tandy, and I must say, this is a good game. Loading times aren't the best, and it can be a pain when you don't have two disc drives, but it's still a good game.

Oh, and when you go to the weigh-in island, losing all your money isn't a glitch, it stays there for safekeeping. So when you finish the game, your money earned is still there along with whatever other money you earned from other treasures afterwards.

  • love this game and will always remember it,but am i the only one to think it was pretty hard gameplay?

  • I always liked the way you can check to see who has the most cash on the big ass scales, also I use to think scroge macduck was Irish.when I was young

  • I totally had this game when I was a kid. It hasn't aged as well as the Nintendo one, but back in the day it was pretty sweet.

  • Very nice game.

I played it when I was little, it was given to me by my uncle. I had the DOS version.

Very good the mummy: it's so scary it seems real!

  • The mummy freaked me out as a kid. Hahaha.

  • Same here.

  • A Classic :D

I Started to play this game when I was 4 ^^

    Good old Times

  • I agree, this game is a classic! I used to play it a lot when I was a kid but I never dared going into the caves. Too scary! I also like the music and the lexical jokes like "Whatsthematterhorn"... :D Great game!

  • I know i played this game, but i can hardly remember if i even finished this game. I remember only one thing, if you got to a wrong place or something inside the cave, something was happening that scared me back then :D but i really don't remember what...

  • Maybe you got captured by the mummy? I remember there was one.

  • yea now you mention about it, it was a mummy :O and boy it was coming instantly with a creepy music. i was afraid to play sometimes, well i WAS a little kid back then :D

  • this game is a masterpiece. and you are stupid enough to waste your time writing this comment. AMIGA FOREVER!

  • No offense but you're a fool for not even touching the stock market. =/

  • I remember playing the DOS version of this. Oh damn.

  • I faintly remember the DOS version too. Not a whole lot though, considering I was around 5 years old.

  • ti prego mi invii questo gioco per e mail

  • plesae send me tihs game for e mail

  • like OMG

i used to play this game when i was a child! huauhahauauh

    love it

  • Great game!

  • Those are some groan-inducing puns on the area names.

    "Whatsamatterhorn," "Novay," "Swansylvania"...Oi.

  • one my first ms dos games, loved it, best duck tales game hands down^^

  • I prefer the pc version though, it was a bit faster but too bad it didn't had this quality sound. Also the pc version was bugged in some areas, where the whole screen seemed to melt and shut down your game :(.

  • I just noticed that Norway is being spelled as Novay XD

Anyway, I looove this game, remember that I loved playing it as a child, brings back memories, and taking the pictures was actuarly my fav part XD

    Thanx for posting!!!

  • Wow this video really brought back a lot of memories. I remember enjoying this game a lot as a child. I never was any good at those cave mazes.

  • One of my all time favorites. Still like it to this day. Never had any luck with the mazes though; to tough really. Does anyone have any idea what the duckies are saying in the mountain part when they jump up unto another ledge? Here we ago? I want up?

  • Actually I think they say "Allez oop" which is said "EL-LAY OOP"

  • I think it was ally oop? maybe?

  • Ah, the memories...

  • DARE TOH SAY TIHS SUCKS! this was one of my favorite games when I was child...I really liked this...I would like to play this again...

  • i used to play this game when I was a child

  • Ah yes, I remember that game. I don't think there are too many differences to the PC version but the voices I don't recall. Flying and Photo were my favorite parts of that game. Thanks for putting this up. You're right, by today's standards it's incredibly slow and a tad annoying but I remember loving it as a child.

  • I don't remember the gaming being slow. Mus tbe the converter (it's an amiga game at PC right?)

  • Nope thats how the game speed is like - and yes its played with an Amiga emulator

  • I see.

Well I have this game at a floppy disk and played it at an 468, and it wasn't that slow.

  • Yeah PC version was probably different.

  • I guess the Amiga version was badly programmed.

  • First Amiga game I ever played.. and it completely blew me away!

The nice close up pictures of the Ducks and the speech.. I couldn't believe it! :D

Very fond memories of this game.

  • Ayers Rock (Uluru) is not in Western Australia

  • What?! You cannot travel to Finland?!

  • Hmmm...i guess there isn't many tresures in there that would interest "Mr.McD".

  • well... we don't have anything exciting like vikings :)

    (mut kyl se muakin kyrsii)

  • Nice hook throwing skills I always stood back towards the target cliff. :) And I avoided the cave mazes too!

  • I think this is the PC version, not the amiga one. amiga I remember had brighter colors and much better audio. still lovely game

  • This is the Amiga version - it was recorded in WinUAE :)

  • I'm pretty sure there was no VGA/MCGA version with enhanced sound and music. But I could be wrong.

  • This game is more like a role game

  • RUN FASTER!!!

  • i could watch monkey island all day, but this, no fucking way. nes ducktales rocks

  • If you notice, a lot of locations are "misspelled". It's intentional joke locations, despite the fact the world map is that of Earth.

  • gotta love those 2 frames of speech animation

  • Where to get this game?

  • it took me a long time when I was 8 to crack that damned code once my friend took back the manual.

  • Cutesy game.

  • Quite nice pixelgraphics, and good sound, but this game reminds me of the Zelda-games for CD-i. The gameplay seems to be painfully bad too. Extremely repetive.

  • I just loved this game soooo much :).

  • i smell lag, lol

  • Launchpad has own comic book series now

  • Dude, this game rocked. I was like 4 when played it, just amazing, know i know i used to play golden axe at that age, everything was so vivid, scary , magical and stuff

  • HAHA LauchPad flies just like that in the cartoon.

  • is that 8 bit sound or 1 bit sound?

  • With some good Grass im back in da day

    blublbubblub dis shit is good

  • LOL the most fun part of the entire game is by FAR the plane flying. Getting caught in the power lines like a rubber band and shooting off upside down, The beagle boys hot air balloons dropping grand pianos and heavy weights and stuff. Then topping off by having to crash into the aerodrome at the end. Classic! But still 10 x Better than games made today

  • Ah, the plane moments. Everytime I tried to play it I'd just press up (which actually took me down) and crashed the damned thing before I had even left the runway. Or course, being 6 years old and not knowing a bit of English also didn't help much... ;)

  • LOL i know! sounds painful! but the $1000 coin makes up for it hey hehe

  • i cant find any downloads for this game!!!! Plz gimme a link for the gAME!!!

  • this game is best

  • On the map there was always a city marked in blue, which treasure was "Bombastium" if you found it you would have the choice to reach any place with a warp system, and not by plane

  • Director account lets you upload more than 10 minutes video.

  • how do you post long videos?

  • nothing to do with nes version

  • what system was this on?

  • The great Amiga 500 :-D

  • it's annoying tht he says alioop over and ovr again!

  • how did you manage to upload a 53+ min video??

  • whoop whoop! one of the first computer games i ever played on our old (and huge) 1989 laptop

  • Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!?!?!?!?!

  • Yo, legendary and still kinda fascinating game from my early days as a cpu player. I'm currently playing this with my 1,8GHz laptop and the game is running way too high, the characters are almost uncontrollable. Still it's fun! Yesterday I managed to get more money than the flintheart man.

  • a rescue rangers movie , the cancelled one or the pilot

  • i wonder if i can upload the chip n' dale rescue rangers movie on here. because it's 100:00.

  • you was'nt very good at it hay ?? lol

  • 53 minutes??? Wow! :O

  • Aaah memories. One of my favorite amiga games. That cave sequence was scary back then :D

  • Thanks for posting this ingame video

  • This is one of the scariest games I've played.

  • I liked the PC version so much better. Not only was it a bit faster, but it didn't have annoying voice acting. The sounds where charming in their own right, and fit perfectly.

...Oh man, now I want to play it again... I wonder if I can find it somewhere...

  • holy shit i used to love this game as a kid

  • I can't remember the reason why I bought this game. The game is painfully slow. And then I even lost the codes for the copyprotection.

  • Hmm... is there any 'moves' in money bin

    to get lucky coin?

    or is it pure luck?

    cool.

  • When music reached higher pitch you found it certainly

  • so many memories XD thanx!

  • it was so scary i the caves.......many bad memories of that.......................................

  • There were a gulch and a mummy wandering in the caves, if you met it or if you falled in the gulch you failed mission

  • me too :D

  • The caves sucks, I hated them and just about anything other than taking the pictures of animals.

  • My game always crashed when I tried to weigh the money. :(

  • Mine too! (disk 4 was defective, and luckily there was only Isle of Macaroon there)

  • Oh man, that's just PAINFUL. I'll stick to Capcom's version, thx

  • Now this is a cool game i remember!

    Thanks for uploading :)
