3/4" Birch is equivalent to 1 1/2" mdf. Birch is much more superior to mdf.....

@vxincarcanada *Depending on the quality* Birch is usually half the weight and twice as strong as 3/4" MDF (I know you have 1" MDF, but same rules apply, Birch is still stronger.) Use some Titebond III fiberglass and resin will make the enclosure hard as a rock.
