hey man, this is awesome. you should post a tutorial on how to play this, nobody has posted a meet me in the morning tutorial yet and that would be fantastic. thanks man
I really enjoyed this, I like dylan so much i am not a big fan of covers, i think most of his studio covers are perfect already.. so I am normally critical but enjoyed listening to this. this song has always been a favorite dylan tune. you are right, it is overlooked. the rythem of this song is just begging for a bass and some levon helms type drums.. shuffling down the street.. maybe throw in some hammon b3 organ work.
if you want the original version by Dylan just send me your email address and I'll email you the mp3. or you could just search for the original song on here and I'm sure you could find it.
Just posted My 1st U-Tube and it just happened to be a Shirtless, Right Hand Version of the same tune. I was just messing around with a new Alveraz Jumbo Guitar, a new camera phone & some cheap Carl Rossi Burgundy. I dig your grooves.
My Bro plays open tuning but not like you. I will have to show him this.
Glad you dug on it. And yes, I feel it's always more genuine when you just get in the groove and go. It's different every time, and that's part of what makes it exciting and fun to play.
You're very welcome, and I'm glad I could help. Most of the "Blood on the Tracks" album is in Open E Tuning. Such a great album, great tuning and a very overlooked song in my opinion.
I have a pretty good tutorial (around here somewhere) on how to make a good bottleneck slide if you're interested. I never did it because I'm way too dangerous.
I don't have tabs, read tabs, or deal with tabs. I know what they are, but it's quicker for me to go by ear. Tune to Open E, and the bulk of it is between frets 5, 7, and 12. Just go with it man. You don't need tabs; just FEEL it.
Ouch. I don't know how I'm supposed to take that. Maybe I should take it as a compliment lest my self esteem take another hit in this cruel ol world. :)
Nicely done! Makes me wanna dig out my guitar. Thanks man

why aren't you chasing after the animal/person who stole your shirt?
Aside from that... you got a nice grove going. It's not a replica of Dylans version but I like it; It flows through nicely.

Cool. Dylan deserves to see this cover. \o/ I listened in the morning. Found your video on BeeMp3 featured on this song. Cheers

Love your bluesy twist on this cover!
what tuning you got on there?
vinniedurrant 1 year ago
@vinniedurrant - Open E, but it might be D. I usually revert to D - same fingering, diff. key. But Blood on the Tracks is 90% Open E.

sorry to the poster that asked if it was in Open D. I deleted your comment by mistake. I don't what the fuck I'm doing but it is in Open E.
Sorry again, and thanks for your question and I'm sorry for deleting it.
