LOL I love how they try and make it look like australia was doing really good in that game. The funny thing is, when you have a fourteen point lead with less than 5 minutes to play, you don't try and stop the other team from scoring. You just try to keep them hitting two pointers so you can keep your lead easily without getting wore out. I;m not knocking Australia. They do have good players who get nice looks to the basket. But they can't beat USA. Sorry. Basketball is still an AMERICAN sport.

@shoskavitch LOL @ "make Australia look like they were doing really good.." they actually did a great job, without Bogut the beast too. 11 point loss to the best players in the world (note: best players, not team) is respectable. But there was no blowout in this game, USA had to stay on their toes and wake up when Patty Mills kept flying past them dropping 20 pts. It was a great game to watch, respect to both teams for putting on a great show for hoop fans in general.

Patty Mills should be 1 of the first players the blazers look at signing, so what he broke his foot it will get better. He is faster than CP3 and scored 20 points against the best players in the world!

they signed him to a non gauranteed contract, he is competing against jarron collins and ime udoka now although he cannot participate due to injury. being a blazers fan, i would take mills personally to see if he is worth the roster spot in the long run.

Good job providing some competition for us. I hope in 2012 countries like Spain, Argentina, Greece, Australia, and China can provide a good challenging level playing field for team USA. We won gold but competition guys I enjoy international basketball. You play the game well.
