These are normal baby ferret noises. Does not necessarily mean there crying. It would be rare to find a young ferret that does not make any kind of noise like this.

I think he was just being vocal, my ferret Princess used to do that all the time when she was a kit, especially to get our attention. Baby ferrets, like all babies, tend to whine and make noises to attract the attention of their 'parents' for food, security or play. Also, we had a plastic seagull toy that would squeak super loudly and Princess would sit there and practically have conversations with it.
@undeadraziel Yeah one of my ferrets was crying like that for a few days before he died. :/ We only had him for about a month or two and got him when he was six weeks old. It's such a heartbreaking sound to hear. I'd much rather hear ferrets dooking than crying.
cute little furball...maybe hus vocals are a bit messed up or you should have the vet check his breathing and stuff...Ive had some ferrets make that noise buy they only made that noise when they were sleepin ( snoaring ) let me know if the ferret is happy. get back to me.,..very touching

Aww what is he about 3 or 4 months old. I had a little girl named Shasta that looked like him. I had 5 other ferrets after I lost Shasta. Shasta I lost right after Hurricane Katrina, and out of the others, 3 died of old age, and two died of common health problems that ferrets have. I had to have them put to sleep so they wouldn't suffer any longer. I loved all my babies.

If he came from a breeder, then he would have been born, weaned and sold (its a business, not a home) and if he came from a shelter then good on them for giving him a chance at a new life. Don't be so quick to judge, these people obviously care about their ferrets and give them a good life.
Your right Ferrets are happier in pairs. I had two and just had to put one down yesterday ( his name was Petey had him nine years) Now my other one ( Fez) doesnt seem right, he's sad.
@LukeCawston Sorry to hear Luke. 9 years... that's a great life for a ferret, longest I've heard of yet on YT. I don't know much about "bonding", but I'd heard that sometimes the stress of losing "family" can be too much for these little guys. You probably know all about this and I'm probably wrong. It's still not the same. I've only had 2 pairs of ferrets in my life and each time they enjoyed their friends company very much. They played, ate, and slept together. They even rolled in their own poop together. Seriously, get him a friend.

Wow, what an amazing video, broke my heart to hear him crying but you're right, he needed some serious love and you seem the right ferret people. A drop of Ferretone wouldn't go amiss either. Hope he calmed down soon. I had one that cried for a week (not all the time obviously) but he soon felt secure and was fine. Give Bubbles a cuddle from me! S x

Get him a brother, I used to have 1 ferret and he was really alot more active and happier when his twinbrother joined him after 2 months :)

Thats crying, baby ferrets usually do it, My baby ferret used to do it when we had to leave :( Made me want to cry, Especially since she was much louder.

It's still not the same. I've only had 2 pairs of ferrets in my life and each time they enjoyed their friends company very much. They played, ate, and slept together. They even rolled in their own poop together. Seriously, get him a friend.
