anyone know where i can find a complete version of this documentary. seems awesome. i'm only recently into arthur russell, and everything i hear seems to scream genius
If the music of the man is brought to the mass's by it being used on a advert is that such a bad thing.I am sure everyone in the uk who first came across it this way would not have ever stumbled on his music .also if he was alive today i am sure he would have been greatful of the interest shown and all the nice comments people have posted about the tune
I recently heard that brilliant song stuck on yet another mobile phone ad - the sort featuring stylishly dishevelled aspirational types wandering about with middle-distance stares and boho smugness. I am no Naomi Klein acolyte but this is a shame.
why is it a shame? It's great that a new generation is getting to know Arthur Russell by an tv advert! Mobile adverts are doing a lot more than tv music channels and radio promoting good bands. Besides if he wasn't for The Klaxons interview probably i will never get him since i'm from Portugal and no radio or tv channel will play him.
why hasn't this been upped by someone out there yet shite

'This is how,
We walk on the moon'
The man is a musical god. He needs to be recognised properly with a documentary so well done all involved. When is it out though???

It is a shame, but hopefully it won't sink the song... i think it's strong and strange enough to live on outside the advert...
