First of all Quake is the father of online shooters, it invented the term FRAGED, and it invented client servers, which is still used for pretty much 87% of all online games. So it was pretty much the first online FPS ever, excluding doom. And CS:S isn't the father, CS:1.6 is the father, well id say more the 2nd generation father. Both games kids don't respect nowadays, cause they have no idea what it did to influence gaming for years.
