  • I'm watching this, but I'm not gay!!!!

  • So he's gay, who gives a fuck - Bob Paris was the last of the greatest. Perfect physique. Period.

  • How the fuck did this nigga got 8 times Mr Olympia ??? I am sure there were guys who were better

  • @pe6obutilkata There wasn't he was the biggest most symetrical and most proportioned bodybuilder of his time.

  • Who else was send by Luii Marco?

  • @steroidsR4losers4 fatass canadian

  • @steroidsR4losers4 stop talking about "HGH Gut" and shit when you have a bigger gut than they have without even using HGH. Just because your fat and lazy doesn't mean you have to hate on bodybuilders.

  • @steroidsR4losers4 eat a dick fatass

  • @Faelian6t5 to be honest, bodybuilding is more in the mainstream than it ever was. Just take a look at what it was like in the 70s; no one knew about it, and there were hardly any large gyms, supplements, or fitness organizations. But I do agree with what you're saying about the hgh stomachs, I have nothing against Ronnie or any of those guys, but most guys just look too blocky because they don't have flat stomachs or small waistlines, not very graceful or elegant anymore.

  • @steroidsR4shitheads

    get fucked

  • I use to see Lee all the time at his gym in Atlanta. He's a very nice guy. Hope he is doing well.

  • He poses to fast here..

  • amazing waistline

  • @Faelian6t5 well said..My best friend used to compete 15 years ago and actuauly won a couple NPC titles and has had nothing to do with bodybuilding since,,I showed him pics of the 2010 Mr O and he thought I was joking when i showed him the winner,(Jay Cutler)...he thought Jay looked like shit..the first thing he said was "what is up with his midsection" The whole sport is an absolute joke now...

  • What a Huge back!

  • RoboCop!

  • @Teddymonster11 haha that's the first thing I thought

  • He was the last of the great champions; after him we only have had pregnant bodybuilders: Yates, Coleman (the worst), Cutler and Jackson.

  • steroidsR4losers and stupidpredatorr are both tranny whores!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • steroid abuse

    see my pic

  • cheater

    Stay natural buddy!

  • he used it at the show

  • Looking good.

  • Poor biceps, otherwise a great pack.

  • I think Haney is impressive.

  • no wonder why he won 8 mr olypias, he is great

  • i like his secn music.can somone tell me the name of this music ? ??

  • robocop theme

  • shit man anybody got tips and how to bring up arms cuzz my back and delts grew so much within my last year of training that my arms are lagging behind now :(

  • To break thru plateus you need to do some real heavy shit :) you want to engange those explosive/fast twitch fibers. Use heavy poundage and dont be afraid of using momentum. But first make sure to do a thorough warmup prior. Do a couple of light sets, dumbell curls 30-40reps each set. Use strict form, rotate palm and squeeze the biceps. Then move on to hammer your biceps with heavy barbell, 6 sets 5-6 rep each set. Take long pauses between sets it allow ur fibers to recharge ATP (explosiveness)

  • 30-40 reps? What a waste of time and energy

A couple of warm up sets then straight to the heavy stuff in good form, with cheats only once a rep can't be done in strict form

  • ur out of energy after 40 easy reps? + ur going to the gym cuz you WANT to put in the TIME so why not do things thoroughly? Always important to get the blood flowing and prepare the tendons get them ready for the heavy lifting. Dude if youre thinking 1 set for 15 reps will do as warm-up..that wont even make u break a sweat..least prepare your muscle for whats waiting for them. But whatever.. do what u think is best for u.. Im not telling u how to train. We may be at different intensity levels.

  • If 40 reps are that easy they are pointless.

A quick couple of sets of 12-15 reps,a few stretches then on with real training.

I doubt that you train any harder than me...you just warm up much more than me,and than is necessary.

  • As i said we're most likely at different intensity levels & i feel it is absolutly neccessary to prepare my muscles as much as possible. I dont take any chances because when i move on to the heavy stuff there's no going back. I want my workout to click just perfect. So for me theres def a point in doing that many reps and ive no problem doing that many. Everynow n then i do alternate dumbell curls for 100 reps(50 each arm) expand endurance and muscles become more resistant against lactic acid.

  • What makes you think you train harder?

I'm talking only of curls here...preparing for squats needs a bit more time...but i wouldn't do 40 light squats either.

I've stayed relatively injury free for 27 years, without ever doing high reps to warm up...good form stops injuries.

  • Its simply my way of training and it has payed off and when someone asks how to train most effectively to build muscles I'll tell them the way i train and they can take it or leave it. It free advice you know :)

Injury rate in Squats is much lower than in bicep excercises. For warmup i do 20-25 reps ass to the grass. I prefer to break parellel even with moderate poundage. Oddly enough i can do more reps, using a moderate weight, if i go all the way down. On heavy sets i go to 90 degrees.

  • People tend to be careful doing squats, but throw the weight around during curls.

  • Yeah theres this guy at the gym he curls the dumbells the way you would throw a bowling ball. First he pushes out his shoulder then reaches out with his upperarm and in the last moment closes in forearm + he sways his upperbody awfully odd. He's got the most weird technique you could ever imagine. It resembles a whole body workout. But cheating its practically impossible when it comes to Squats.

  • Yeah it is,unless someone wants a serious injury.

I badly hurt my right biceps tendon after a set of seated calf raises, getting the barbell off my knees, believe it or not.

No pain at all until the next morning,i had no idea i had hurt myself.

18 months before i could train properly and another year of dumbells only.

  • I hear ya. And motorics is an important aspect .. we distinct between jerking the weight up as opposed to controlled cheating. A person could use a fairly heavy weight but still be able to use muscular force to get the weight up several times it has alot to do with rythm and some people go through their excercises smoothly without ever thinking how they actually are able do it, but might not come as natural for others.. e.g. inability to balance correctly or redistribute the force output.

  • Haney's arms never impressed me and he had weak calves

  • Massive chest and back. Great v-taper, and then it ends. Small arms and legs. He tries to pull off Sergio arm pose, which he fails greatly. Amazing that he won 8 Olympias.

  • neilp77...Well Said, Haney was nothing but a puppet for Joe Weider.

  • Hatalmas!!! Nagy példakép!

  • Haney poses like the amateur that he is...

  • The greatest bodybuilder of all time said Arnold Swartzenegger said Lou had the best genetics and if he had his genetics he would be 3 times as good and so did the father of body building Joe Weider. Who knows more than he does 70 yrs ex. Lou was the tallest strongest and buigest with 26 inch arms biggest in the world. Lou unbeatable!

  • Ferrigno had great pecs, traps and forearms. His arms were too small for his torso, small high calves, average back. 26" arms? Are you a simpleton? Even Sergio, Arnold, Fox and Dillet were not over 22" (real size).

He WAS the tallest, but so what?

  • for those of you who think haney does not look 250 pounds..maybe he does not..but he looked 250 when he stood on stage against all the other guys..he looked bigger than yates in 1991 and yates was to have weighed 245...so go figure...

  • Bigger than Yates? You obviously never looked at their backs and legs then.

  • Lou Ferrigno is the greatest. His genetics surpass anyone else in the buisness

  • Ferrigno lost out in arms and legs. His genes were in no way the best.

  • Great pecs and traps and that was about all.

  • Restorationoflife1 thinks Ferrigno had 26" arms... LLLLLLLLLLLOL

  • Lol...theres one born every minute.

Ferrigno is way down the list

  • Who knows more than Joe Weider??

Some people must think his 'Principles' were for real lol

He was a businessman...this 'Trainer Of Champions' was bullshit.

  • Hmm. "Principles" is an alien word to old Joe - metaphorically and literally.

  • Too true.

And for anyone not knowing...the painting of Weider with his arms crossed in the adverts was Robby Robinsons torso with Weiders head stuck on it.

  • nice shape, not too big just perefect

  • Haney was great,

    all time

  • Haney was great, but hey.... try to came own yourself! not choise, not choose this.. the legend live one time but now undesrstand your own

  • How Haney won 8 Olympia titles is beyond me!

  • The word "Quadraplegic" is on the Sandow Plate!

  • Ronnie Coleman is King of all bodybuilders.

    the greatest bodybuilder ever.

  • Lee Haney did complete his physique for sure but he simply does not have the awe inspiring genetics of Sergio or Arnold. Haney has a lot of balance for his own genetics. Dorian is the best he beat but Dorian also hadn't reached his full potential yet. It is unfair and unlogical to assume the best ever title based on wins in bodybuilding because Gaspari was the best competition Haney had and Gasparis genetics were far from optimum. Haney has earned respect for sure, but "best ever", NO WAY!!!

  • does anyone know what year this was?

  • The Myth had it all over Haney...

  • Sergio would destroy Lee Haney. superior in every single muscle group, and has arms and calves, unlike Haney.

  • arnold could'nt fuck with lee haney on his best day!

  • he is the best........

  • arnolds is way better

  • Arnold in his prime would have dwarfed Haney and won easily.

  • he is shit

  • The most complete Olympia ever. Not that wide waist Arnold or that big GH belly Ronnie. And definitely not that block head Jay. He should've never won.

  • Complete? Where are his forearms, biceps, quads and calves?

  • Arnold at his best..

    Lee at his best..

my bet is on Arnie, hands down.

  • Both at their best? Arnold = '75 vs. Lee = '86 or '91 . . . I would give the edge to Lee. Haney improved everything esp. in '91 to beat Dorian. His weak points (biceps, quads, calves) were all much improved that finale year for him. If you watch the prejudging where Lee and Dorian compare latspreads . . . Dorian wasn't even close that year. My opinion.

  • yea i agree lees had a more complete body than arnold.

  • His arms aren't bad. His torso was so big it made his arms "look smaller".

  • thats the same problem i have with my physique.

  • Sergio and Arnold had bigger torsos and their arms matched them.

  • Spaghetti Arms!!!

  • Lee Haney was very good but I was also surprised by his comment "a more total package than Arnold". He is narrow waisted for sure but he is also narrow shouldered. If he truly weighed 250 that is quite a dense man because he doesn't look near that heavy. Also the upper arms are cut to the max but not awe in spiring in any way. Calves poor, thighs just ok. Why the attitude? The back is thick but what else?

  • Definition, separation, thickness, general conditionning.. he didnt won O 8 times for nothing.

  • Sure he got 8, we are just trying to figure out WHY, because it had nothing to do with his flaw ridden physique.

  • Well Said net0dotcom!!...Haney was no comparison to Arnold!!...

  • Absolutely spot on!

  • Real muscle there. No insulin etc...

  • A real absence of arms, quads and calves too though...

  • Sergio Oliva is the greatest Bodybuilder of all time!!!...Hail The Myth!!!

  • haney is the best bb ever he had it all no man could beat him and hes a nice guy no race hate in him bbing should go back the way it used to be thats y flex never won a mr o flex is amazin as well

    dorian yates is good

  • its fuuny my back over powers my arms just like lee's did.

  • Dorains Yates back was in anther world in mass, hardness and detail after Lee.

  • Lee was great, but let's face it, Ronnie would detroy him

  • Yeh Ronnie would destroy Lee if the competiton was the best of the Freaks.Body building now is more about bloated mass appossed to the sculptured bodies of the past.

  • Today's monsters take drugs to such extremes. It's hard to realize Lee took mass to the next level, competing heavier than taller Arnold ever did. This is the last time average Joe could look @ an O winner & say: "I'd like to look like that guy", as opposed to: "What the heck is that?". Ron's mass may impress from the front & back, but from the side, Lee's flat stomach wins every time.

  • Sorry to sound like a broken record, but its simply not true Haney took mass to another level,go back to Sergio,he took mass shape and symetry to another level, nobody to this day has come close.

  • Sergio is the superior BBer, no doubt, but at his heaviest, Lee had more total muscular weight at about the same height, ie , more mass. Not as nicely proportioned or shaped, granted, but more on the scale, and possibly a bit leaner, too.

  • I don't think he did...Sergio had huge thighs in his prime,he says he weighed 245 at the '72 Olympia...this may be an exaggeration, but nevertheless he was huge...Haney is 5'11 i believe,Sergio 5'9-5'10...the small waist of course makes him seem larger, nevertheless in arms and legs he was larger.

  • They seem the same height to me. Offical heights are wildly off much of the time. In any case, Haney was, up to that point, officially the heaviest Mr O ever, thus heavier than Sergio, at least as Mr O. A lot of Sergio's incredible proportion came from having a small head, as opposed to Lee's fairly large head. I'll still give you the arms and legs, but every ounce of muscle anywhere on the body counts as mass, and Lee's leanest was leaner than Sergio's.

  • Sergio was the only BB measured by Arthur Jones with arms over 20"..Haneys head looks much larger with those under par arms alongside it...try and see footage of the '72 Olympia...Sergio was huge and cut...Haney in no way compares.

  • I agree as far as almost all I value in BBng; shape ,size, proportion; but Lee looks leaner to me, and he weighed more. I've seen all the footage. I even saw Sergio on the street in his custom-tailored police uniform c'79. I'd -never- say -anyone- was - better-.

  • Ok. We agree Sergio was amazing anyway. :)

  • This is mass with class !!!

  • Ron Coleman came along years after Lee haney had already dominated the sport opf Body building. Plus, Ron Coleman has mostly bulk he's nowhere near as tone as lee Haney was in his prime.

  • Lee Haney was the first to win 8 Mr Olympia's .Now Ronnie Coleman has 8 as well.

  • haney still holds the record for most olympias

  • Lee will be forever the Awesome One!!!

  • Awesome vid - the pro's looked so much better back in the day.

  • One of the greatest physiques ever.

  • The G.O.A.T at Olympia followed by Arnold. Great Symmetry, proportion, mass, lines not like the freaks of nature like present!

  • A black arnold if not better !

  • its from robocop

  • anyone know the name of the song used here?

  • THAT is bodybuilding. The bodybuilding world needs more Lee Haneys.

  • The Magazines said he weighed 259LBS for this show with a flat stomach Awesome! This is Great! All the Haney Olympia's are posted Thanks ashoki and all the other people that posted his Haney's MrO's You guys are the best!

  • yes it is,i will get some more up of haney.

    cheerz

  • Yes muscleman70, it is 1989 Mr Olympia at Rimini city, Italy.

  • Hi dude! Great, great video! Lee Haney is the best bodybuilder ever! I'm his fan! Can you confirm that it's the 1989 Mr Olympia? Thank you!
