  • Wow I'm impressed. I'm currently working out at a gym at least 5x a week and I'm on my 1st week. I spend atleast 1hr no cardio just building muscles. How many times do u drink the shake? And when? Sorry with all the questions. Thanks man

  • @darickmeister I drank my shake only once a day right after my workout session. If you read my description I break down what I did on a daily routine. sorry for late reply :D

    the only complaint i have is the music...reminds me of geico and their bullshit commercials. it's like they don't even try anymore. at all.

  • @iwantram3n Yeah it does bug ya after awhile from the t.v commercial. I DL becuz it was free from Geico's wesbite and i just bought a new laptop so i didnt have any songs on it yet. So rather have my slideshow vid go soundless and me being lazy to DL a new song. I just threw it together.

  • hey starky i know you said you follow 20/30/50 phase, but how did u know that your acually following this exact ratio? or did u just eat what you felt was right

  • Yes i did follow that ratio and not exactly to a "T". I did not weight every piece meat or whatever. But i did try to follow the servings on each item and basically like u said watever felt right. So with carbs i would have like 2 servings per day. So that would be a piece of toast and a cup of rice etc. As fats go that would be limited as much as possible. And as far as protein goes I ate as much of those as possible including the whey.

  • Im taking a scoop of whey protein (body fortress super advanced whey, which also has a little bit of creatine) before and after all my p90x workouts. Do you think I need to do this on cardio/yoga days? or x-stretch? or should I just take one scoop after, and not before. or just nothing all together on those days? :P

  • @TilaTequila73 same question I was trying to figure out and got my answer......you should take "body fortress super advanced whey" every day but on x-stretch,cardio,yoga days you can take one scoop......the reason you sould take it everyday is to keep the creatine saturated in you muscles

  • @lieyo85 I posted some of the more common questions in my description. The weights i used the whole time was 10lb dumbells and thats it.

  • hey man your results are awesome I am on day four and im so sore already. I was wondering what kinda diet you did, did you follow the nutrition guide they send with p90x or did you come up with something on your own. Im having a hard time figuring out how to eat correctly to lose some weight.

    to be honest I prolly only did half of the yoga workout the entire time. it just depends on how i feel and if i had that 1hr and half to do it. But it always felt great after doing it.

    I would sub it for a cardiox or plyo. do wat works for you. remember modify if you half to.

  • I love the cardio workout thats what helped burned all that fat i had. If you want to gain weight stick to the classic program and do all the workouts but also follow the diet. The diet is where you will be able to gain more muscle weight and not fat weight. good luck

  • As far as whey protein only I took 1 scoop. Which equals to 26 grams per scoop. I did get protein from other sources and made my own whey protein bars from the protein shake.

    I myself would shoot for at least 70 gms of protein a day.

  • Yeah if you could only squeeze in 4 days or 5 then go for it. Do what works for you. I did the classic program straight through. I didn't do any additional exercises or go to a gym. Prior to P90x I haven't fully dedicated myself to working out in about a year. I am now 26 years and going on strong.

    I didn't order off their website I got it off ebay. If you could get it off Amazon quicker then go for it.

  • Well, I have to do PT every other morning for the military, so hopefully that will help me on my results. Did you do the classic program? How old are you? Did you work out before you started doing the P90X program? Did you order it off their website, because I was going to order it from Amazon so I could get it overnighted.

  • did you only do P90X, or did you do other working out along with it? i only have a microwave, will i still be able to do the diet?

  • Yep only P90x.....like most people we don't hours and hours to devote to working out. Just do the program and thats it. If you could squeeze 10 mintues or more for a little xtra workout go for it.

    I always say keep it simple in the nutrition department. So yah a microwave will work just fine. Just gotta find ways differnt ways to do things. I eat oatmeal just about every morning. so a microwave is all i need. As far as other meals turkey sandwich for lunch no microwave needed. etc.

  • i am 180 right now also, 5'9.5" so I feel that I am at the same point when you started. Did you use any supplements, cuz I really dont want to spend the money on them and was hopin for the same results as you.

  • It looks to me you are at a good starting point. As far as supplements I only used whey protein shake and thats it. Yeah they can get pretty expensive to all the time, but there are fairly cheap ones out there too.

    I bought a brand called Body Fortress Super advance whey protein (chocolate flavor) and its only 14.00 bucks here in CA. Its taste decent and has good protein quality. Each tub last me 1 phase. So I was only used 3 tubs the entire time. Thats less than 50 bucks for 3 months!

    My rule of thumb on protein is to consume at least half my body weight in grams. So I weighed in at 180lbs ot start and would consume around 80 to 90 grams.

    Then when I lost weight I would adjust it accordingly.

  • Thanks for the comment. Those first 30 days were insane and I couldnt believe my results either. I lost 15lbs i know most of it was water , but still damn!!. Oh I am 26 years young lol. Good luck to you on the X!!!

  • yo, how did u eat? did u follow the nutrition plan or did u do your own thing?. im not really a big fan at cooking, grocery shopping and sutff. so juz waondering.

  • I ate super super clean and healthy as best as i could. I limited my carbs and fat and ate a lot of proteins. I would say a ratio of 70/30/10 of protein/carbs/fat. Then I added more carbs to fuel my body later.

    I followed the nutrition loosely, but mainly did my own thing. If you research you will find quick easy meals. Oatmeal with fruits, protein shake, salad or sandwich with turkey and then dinner was leftover turkey lettuce wraps etc. Helps to have a wife/gf to cook for you now and then :D

  • WOAH! great results! Just wondering, some days I get really annoyed with it and I seriously fast forward 10 minutes. But never on lifting days. Were there days that you did that?

  • Thank you. You know what I haven't been really annoyed by Tony or the others yet. I noticed that I am too focus on what I am doing and how hard I need to push. As far as fast forwarding on some days. I have done it only once when i was on a time crunch due to a work schedule. But I always make it up when I get home :D. You gotta stay committed and the results will show. Good luck

  • Thanks, What kind of protein do you take in a day? I'm having a hard time going above 120g per day.

  • I take in Bodyfortress whey protein its pretty decent stuff and great on price. Two scoops gets you 52g of protein. So you better do 3 to 4 scoops plus other lean protein should get you to 120g a day. I try to mix it up and made protein bars out of the of the whey.
