Can we just the hell up about who did what and what happened and blah blah blah. I may be 14 but I'm smart enough to know that we need to swallow our prides and start solving the issues present instead and negotiate instead of selfishly trying to prove our points right. We need to also realize that no one person has the answer.
To the author, TheCrookedGremlin, awesome job on the kinetic type. By the way, that little tutorial on your website on how to do it in AE was great, mind you my audio decided to go kaput on me =( but I'm working on it lol.
@AshCosgrove seems you've forgotten the eight year downward spiral prior to this most recent election. the debating on how to fix the current problems. not saying he's a fantastic pres, but we were already face down in the dirt before him. btw, he said ''yes we can'' not ''yes i can''
this video gives me the creeps. the way he's just pouding away yelling yes we can, just going for the brainwashing. rididculous. makes me laugh a bit too.
@holyhineyhole You know, there were people that said something similar when they read the Declaration of Independence. It just happened to be in King George III's court.
Great intentions, great thoughts, great words, great deeds (or if you're in the marine mindset: look like, feel like act like a marine). Remember that progression, because otherwise you have a squandering of ability and pride.
@holyhineyhole Simple statements carry meaning, but it is what is done that matters and he's done a bunch more than his predecessor. Complaining, while not doing anything is also for simpletons.
Yes he is the only President, in our entire history as a Nation, who has written literally every speech given to the public. A beautiful speaker, a wonderful symbol for change, an amazing icon for possibility and equality, and most of all, he is truly an American hero in every sense of the words.
John does NOT write complete speeches. He just writes the base of it and Obama edits, re-writes and extends. I give John a little credit, but not much.
oh please. john deserves much more than "a little credit, but not much"
according to The Guardian:
after collaborating with Obama for the inaugural address... "Favreau then went away and spent weeks on research. His team interviewed historians and speech writers, studied periods of crisis, and listened to past inaugural orations. When ready, he took up residence in Starbucks in Washington and wrote the first draft. The end result will be uttered on the steps of the Capitol."
John didn't put it all into his own words and speak those words to all of America and much of the world. He also didn't write any of Obama's inspiring speeches beforehand, or so I have read.
"It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists, as they blazed a trail towards freedom: Yes We Can." God, Barack really makes me proud to be an American. Let's see Bush say anything that even comes close to this speech's/speaker's level of intelligence.
I have that same feeling, too. I'm typically not very optimistic about any politician, but he carries himself with so much dignity.. I feel like, finally, I'm being represented to the rest of the world by a leader I can believe in.
I agree. We have come so far as a nation. Just about 150 years ago, african americans were slaves (which i don't agree with) now we have an african american president. Amazing.
Indeed. I think people are judging him too quickly as a President as well. People all too easily over-look the fact that our government is NOT a direct democracy, it is in fact a theocracy at this point in time, which means that our government is somewhat of a business, and the first law of business has and always will be 'to make money, you must spend money'. He has more than three and a half years to prove that power belongs in the hands of Democrats and TRUE believers of CHANGE and EQUALITY.
no. a theocracy is a government directly ruled by a deity or a ruler with divine inspiration. Our government is a representative democracy that may be influenced by religious principles but the mere influence of religion does not make our government a theocracy.
Our theocratic government is fueled by that the chruch-going citizens of our country and their money. The government can try it's hardest to keeps it's money or to spend it on investments, but in situations like the Iraq War and other situations, money loving politicians who're faithful to religion or make decisions based on faith as a possible future defense.
Geroge W. Bush was the one who led the US into debt when we had been in a surplus of money. When talking about the deployment of troops to Iraq, George W. Bush actually said "I believe that God wants everybody to be free. That's what I believe. And that's part of my foreign policy. In Afghanistan, I believe that the freedom there is a gift from the Almighty. That's a gift that we can give." WHAT? A PRESIDENT ORDERING WAR AND SPEAKING PUBLICALLY ABOUT HOW GOD WANTS IRAQ TO BE FREE? Theocracy.
No. not theocracy. Theocracy is when God himself is a ruler or the ruler is God's representative. You have to realize that the influence of religion does NOT make a government theocratic. One President stating and acting on his personal beliefs does not make our country a theocracy. The leaders in any form of government are going to have their personal beliefs influence their actions. If that is enough to say that the United States is a theocracy, then every goverment is a theocracy.
also, note that our government is fueled by non-church-going citizens and their money just as much as it is by the church-going citizens... and as I said before... ANYONE will make a decision based on their personal beliefs... Christian, athiest, or otherwise...
...86% of our country belongs to the Christian/Catholic faith. You yourself previously stated that a Theocratic democracy (BY WEBSTER'S DEFINITION) can be a government ruled by someone who is filled with divine inspiration. It sure sounds like our last president believed he was doing God's work, and the 86% of our nation's population was more than supportive of Bush. Do you know what that is? When a government's budget and eco. states are affected directly by "God", it's a goddam Theocracy.
I'm not truly any athiest by any stretch, because that in itself is a belief. My only beliefs are that Religion may be wrong, but what it TRULY is, is corrupt and blinding.
I'm actually a self proclaimed neolhist, but it's easier to just dumb things down a bit for typical youtubers..
@ssquared361 You are either being sarcastic and mocking my spelling error (the word was nihilist), or you are a fucking moron and don't know what a nihilist is.
