  • I love watching 'em FLY!!!! Go Blue Angels!

  • Yes, thanks for observing the thrust of the piece, there are many many ways to be of service to America, and if you live here, it is a wonderful thing to be of service to your country, whatever your way might be. It is supporting the concept of being service in whatever capacity, the peace corp, helping out animal rescues, serving in food kitchens, or serving in the military. Whatever your calling is, this piece is supporting being of service to the country.

  • You believe that the Global War on Terror, which I characterized as a disgraceful imperial fraud, is of service to the country. Are you really terrorized by all the poorest, most vulnerable people in the world?

  • And, annie get yor gang, what do you do to be of service to this country exactly?

  • I do my little bit, as I have most all my life. I'm no one's hero, but I'm an anti-war, anti-nuclear, peace and social justice activist and writer. I grew up around a Navy town which is a radioactive and otherwise hugely toxic mess--the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard; many kids I grew up with contracted cancer at a very young age and quite a few died, in their twenties. Two of my brothers had cancer in their forties and I stopped taking the tests.

  • I am sorry to hear that, but I did not hear exactly what you do to be of service. Many people who are of service, not the powers that be that put us in war, but the actual service men, truly feel in their heart of hearts that they want to be of service to this country and to protect your freedom. your freedom. your freedom. So please dont dish the enlisted man. I can't speak for all enlisted men, but most that I have ever met care about YOU.

  • I told you that "I do my little bit, as I have most all my life. I'm no one's hero, but I'm an anti-war, anti-nuclear, peace and social justice activist and writer." And I am not dis'ing the enlisted man; I have just joined Veterans for Peace who are deeply alarmed by the mistreatment of women in the service, and the homeless, addicted, and neglected veterans all over San Francisco streets and elsewhere. I think we should honor our soldiers and vets by employing them peacefully.

  • Good. My grandfather was a 3 star general and truly believed he was being of service to his country.

You know, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." JFK

Politics is not my area of expertise. I am digital artist. But I admire the man in the uniform and this is tribute to them, not a commentary on terrorism or Iraq. I also like planes, boats and fast cars.

  • Jheez Annie you are even trolling other videos. Face the fact, nobody agrees with you. Get a life and stop making a fool out of yourself.

  • Very nice video! The narration was very informative. I also like the multiple angles used throughout the video. Was this a multi camera shot, or multi-day?

  • Multi-Day. They fortunately do the same manuevers each day. The weather generally matched althought the last day hada a haze from the show. Thanks!

  • The Flight leader uses Communications or radio to communicate such as "a little pull" for a pull or ect. They also use a cadence.

If someone has an accident, it's not nessesarly the #1's or Bosses Fault.

All Pilots know what they are doing. They have months of training for thier demonstration. It's not up to #1 on whats going on. EVERY pilot knows what and where he is doing or should be.

It's a good video, but some information isnt correct.,

  • Thanks for the update and watching the video. I think it was pretty great of him to come do the voice over. Maybe you would like to do it next timem youtheho.

  • The smoke is a biodegradibile puffin based oil, not water.

He said they cannot go over 150 knots on "dirty" or landing configureation, But the Fortis Manuever..which is a dirty Mirror manuever, is performed at 250knots. The Gear does not "rip" off till around 290.

  • Thanks for the compliments. I have always enjoyed the Blue Angels visits to SF. Sounds like you may have been a pilot too?

  • I'm the same person as above. There was a different account at the time on here. I have yet to be a pilot, but hope to do so soon. I do run a virtual blue angel demonstration team, which is an exact repleca of the Blues, just on flight simulators. We have strong contacts with the current Blue Angels for thier input in our "virtual" Air shows.

As I said, 85% of the stuff in this video he did say, is correct. I like this way that you put the vdieo with the "narration" of Mr. Patton.

  • Thanks. It came together really well. I met him while I was shooting. I was thrilled he would come over and do the V.O. Glad you liked it.

  • I've seen the Blue Angels in San Francisco and photographed them too but I've never seen them like this! Fantastic! The gentleman's narration is invaluable, adding tremendously to the experience. Really great production all around!

  • I met Fred Patton, the retired pilot that does the voice over while capturing the video. I really appreciate him doing this voice over for me. I learned alot about these planes this year.I was surprised to find out it is totally quiet in the cockpit. Thanks for watching.
