Sometimes I can sign on, but only for a minute, and my friends list wont appear, and whenever I try to sync my trophies, it says A DNS ERROR HAS OCCURED. what the hell? can somebody please help me? I'd like to go online again.

if it's 3, your router is blocking communications
in which case, do the following
either put your ps3 into a dmz or visit portforwardDOTcom, find your router in the list, select psn and follow the steps. this will involve assigning a static IP to your ps3, it's very easy to do.

He didn't get banned. It happened to me too. This only affected the FAT models like mine. It was like Y2K or something. When it switched from Feb 28 to Mar 1, that's the problem, it would reset and go back to the year 2000.
@darkamascara It was a temporary problem affecting only the fat ones like mine. The fixed it and it hasn't happened again. It wouldn't go from Feb 29 to Mar 1. It was a Leap Year bug.

Only thing you can do, is to re activate. by that i mean delete everything that's on the ps3. and start over again, with you psn account. Think it will work.

They couldn't sync their trophies during that time. Look at you Mr. Brains. Their modem wasn't working and they had to look for a new one. So they were playing offline during the bug. So how are they dumbasses if they didn't have access to the internet
