  • dude yur just fricking awesome!

  • I have mine ordered! thanks cotts!

  • I like it!

  • Do you want me to build you one ?!

  • what software are you using on your PC

  • thumbs up if the last yellow button on the 2nd line is your favorite button apart from the "like" button :)

  • That thing is the off the god damn chain!

  • whats the tune your playing while showing off the capabilities of your midi controller ?

  • @craigif

The Flashback Project - Ease the Pressure (Rocket Pimp Remix)

also fuck yeah this song is awesome.

  • it looks so fun! :D

  • If ravine gets one of these I will piss my pants

  • Whats the last tune?

  • its mint!

  • that is honestly so cool. merging old school arcade gaming into DJing, thats my kind of MIDI controller :D

  • hmm.. the pioneer efx...traktor controll x1...and that thing..is it usefull to have all that stuff?!

  • play with the vinyl

  • @lilwolfgx

    5 cal. of black fun.

  • Good machine ;D

  • That thing is so cool!

  • Wats the last song plz :) ????????????

  • i think this is the most practical use of the instant gratification mapping ive seen on youtube! thank you so much Cotts!

  • what remix of ease the pressure was this ?

  • @ElectroHouseMixTube Rocket Pimp Remix, I think

  • @koisenn thanks dude

  • Hey Cotts, are you able to do an overview of how you Traktor is setup? I've been meaning to setup my gear with software, really getting over CD's!

  • I really Like both of the songs you play. What are they?

  • if youre using a computer why wouldnt you just program keys on your keyboard?

  • @SoCalyankeefan Not a lot of people use their keyboard while mixing. Most of the time it is a set of turn tables controlling the software and the laptop is just out of reach. Because most of the time you might only need the keyboard for looking up song names for any reason or another. The controller allows you to clean up the area a bit for a smooth performance. And it's ease of use is outstanding. What if you can't see your keyboard in a dimly lit booth?

  • @theboxmodder well i have a backlit keyboard so i think for myself, a controller such as this one doesnt make much sense.

  • @SoCalyankeefan I would agree. If someone made a program to remap the keys on the keyboard to resemble an emulated MIDI controller. Then have a single key combination to toggle the function back and forth. My $80 USD Razer Lycosa keyboard would work as a good controller. Though if you watch Cotts. He presses multiple buttons at once. Look up Keyboard Ghosting. That's where the problem lies. But they make keyboards tha have no ghosting. They are almost $200 each...

  • @theboxmodder Interesting...thanks for the info.

  • that's kinda cool, just don't get carried away using that thing.

  • /watch?NR=1&v=lhuqYgjp7PQ LOL!

  • @carlrose01 Cheap midi controllers are honestly terrible. Ever wonder why Ravine gave away his Mixvibes controller? The reason I like the midi fighter is because it feels so great to use. I know it's expensive but honestly at the end of the day you get what you pay for. It's got solid arcade buttons that will survive a huge amount of punishment. DJ gear has a tendency to be destroyed if not built well.

  • @DjCotts Please Cotts tell me whether it's worth to buy Numark Mixtrack?

  • @SuperTonoo if your just starting DJing and havent had gear before, the Numark Mixtrack is definitely the best low price midi controller around. it will teach you everything you need to know and last you a while if you dont beat up on it, ive been using one for about a year now, and it only cost me 100 dollars

  • @DJKafaz Tnx Kafaz 4 answer :D

  • @DjCotts arcade buttons cost about 1 pound each

  • @DjCotts

totely agree with u cotts :D

  • @DjCotts im having trouble getting the instant grattification mapping to work do yuo have a copy of it??

  • @nateslagle727 if you alreday have a controller mapped to traktor, you cannot use the big import buttin down the bottom, you need to go to the list of midi controllers in controller manager, and beneathe that, is an edit button click it and a list will come up, on the list will be 'add', use that to load the .tsi

  • @carlrose01

If you can't afford $200 you probably shouldn't be DJ'ing...

  • @carlrose01 look at his setup, i don't think he needs a cheap midi controller lol.

  • @carlrose01 no he's just not poor.

  • Just wondering what the song thats being played in the background?

  • Epic! :)

But can you explain/show something about the mapping(s) of it too?

Or is it nothing all to special :P

(kinda curious how mapping(s) work :)

  • Sweet. Cotts, goddamnit you're one hell of a salesman, i want one now!

  • I honestly don't get how a 16 button controller could cost $200. You might as well buy a PS3 controller for $60 (which has 15 buttons and 6 axis) and set it up yourself.

  • have my babies, now.

  • at first i was like nooo not more tech blah blah blah BUT 2:37 onwards you really sold it to me cos now i want one so badly :( life is poor and hard

  • Ravine should get one of them

  • what about the top buttons

    you never used them

  • What song is 1st ??

  • the last track is sped up scouse house

  • nice review what s the name of the tracks

  • fucking awesome :)

  • hardcore song at the end? :o

  • but .... will it blend ?

  • It works in virtual dj ¿¿¿¿¿

  • i have one

  • they shouldve payed u for suggestive selling their product =P

  • why didnt you DJ at Dreamhack this weekend! That would have been soooo awesome! :D

  • wow i never kenw you were into donk the hardcore donk :) i live hardcore and australian :P

  • lookin nice but sheesh $200 us wow thats alot lol i made a midi controller using an old usb game controller and some of these arcade buttons and it worked great :P i am making a clear acrylic case for it and then it will have lights also :)

  • It would be better if it was like $99 but it looks awesome. The poor efx 1000 not getting any use lol. I take it he's using timecode CD's?

  • Seriously, Japan could make that for 5 bucks.

  • The end was amazing.

  • epic djin skillz cottsy dude ! keep it ROCKIN!

  • Fuck my bills, i'm getting this thing.

  • Track list for this video?

  • Nice review, I didn't want it to stop! You should do an electro mix!

  • your colors , black and yellow :D !

  • awesome ;-)

  • @pudd9ers May I ask this in nicest way possible but how do you plan to start DJing without some cash I only started a month ago I have a simple emachine laptop windows 7 works really well and spent $400 on a controller and a pair of headphones thats maybe the minimum price maybe a bit lower to start but good luck on your endeavors :) ( and I'm just answering from my perspective even though you were directing your question towards cotts)

  • @DJL3igh by "no budget" meaning i have unlimited cash lol

  • awesome ! :D

  • Hey, what FX does that button trigger at 5:15?

  • Actually it was Petruccio and Modulate - Dirty Beats the other song was when he was talking.

  • The hardcore song is Petruccio and Modulate - Give It Up (Thumbs up so people read it :P )

  • your efx1000 is really sad now :(

  • ive wanted one for a while now.

  • What top did you pick was it the clean one or the clear acrylic????

  • So do you just download the map out from the website or do you just do it ur self?????

  • Amazing !! :D

  • Holy shit, that demo must have taken some mad skillz... The way you co-ordinated like 6 or 7 effects at once looks more challenging than playing a fast paced song on a piano...

  • You can also do this with a normal Arcade Stick. It's a chore getting HID to MIDI and then having whatever able to map/read it. But it's so much cooler because you can control with the joystick too (although you're out 8 buttons). And you have an Arcade Stick to play Street Fighter with. ;D

  • DAMNIT. Now I'm gonna look like a Cotts copycat when I finally get my midifighter pro haha

  • i want to start DJing because of you cotts, i have no budget for equipment i just don't know what to start with,

i have a mac pro, but no djing software or anything else. please help me to get started!

  • nice ty

  • wow thats soo awesome, the effects are so good

  • Been contemplating whether to get this or not for a couple of months, but that mapping it comes with, I think has sold me on it.

I'll be treating myself to a early xmas present I think ;]

  • at the beginning of this video, whats the song name?

  • Damn to raw!

  • i must have this :)

  • what kind of computer do you have

  • whats the hardcore song called?

  • what are the songs you used??

  • what song is he using for the hardcore song?

  • haha nice , i got SN 119 , FYI Midi fighter Pro out now well worth a look into and yes you can custom the LEDS and make arcade buttons transparent if you want

NOTE it is cheaper to DIY and put it together with parts they sell on store

  • did u get it shipped from the us???

  • can you make a download link for the mapping?

  • something tells me u done that for a while..

  • everyone go to DJTT best blog best forum awesome reviews and blog posts super helpful people on the forums :D you wont regret joining <3

  • Nice review cotts!

  • that is sick!!!! i want one:D

  • Damn it you've convinced me :P

  • thats maaaaaad, price should probably bit a bit lower though

  • @jeza4646 Apprently it's made from super jap spec parts that are extremely high quality and that's the cheapest they can produce it

  • @jeza4646 If the price's too much for you, you could make your own.

There are some tutorials on youtube how.

  • What happens if you press all 16 buttons at once?

  • i think you just sold alot of these for them lol

  • so getting one of those for myself! :)

  • I was gonna get one this review helped a bunch dude.

  • Epic review i want one now...^:_:^

  • schweet

  • thank you for that review

  • Great demonstration

  • 4th!
