@Eyedias It's not all that dangerous if you do it outside. The accumulation of fumes is what can explode, and outside the fumes cannot build up so they cannot explode; they blow away in the wind.
@bcom11 I know some people in NY who say they can do it on the roof... where else could you do it? Inside you're endangering yourself, and anyone who lives with or near you. This process from start to finish takes 8 hours or so. Find somewhere safe rather than risk your safety and the safety of others. We show these processes to save you not to endanger you. It is safe to do this IF it is done outside in the fresh air.
