Your RAM could be a problem.

Shank does demand 1GB of RAM.

And your Graphics Card could also be a bit of an issue as well.

P.S. why in the holy hell are you still on XP Service Pack 2? >_>

XP SP3 is better and SAFER. If you're still on Windows XP, it is EXTREMELY important to stay updated, otherwise you will be VERY Vulnerable to Hackers; since XP is a dying OS now a days.

But yeah, you might have a bit of a problem there.

Shank's more of a Modern-Day Low-Spec, that's the thing.

Shank is a Modern-Day Low-Spec PC Game.

But Shank is confirmed to work on Intel Video Cards; as my LAPTOP is a witness to that.

Compliments aside, I have a question: i checked the specs of some games you've classified as low spec (shank for example) and checked the specs and i apparently can't even run some of them (lack of pixel shader i.e.). However i've seen you've mentioned blade of darkness as mid-spec and i can run that smooth as hell. How's that even work? I'm confused D:

It's not JUST the question on whether or not you can START UP the game.

It's also the question as to how the game plays AND what type of video card you have.

Here's a touching story:

My 1st Laptop; an Acer Aspire 6920, it has an Intel GMA X3100 Video Card, Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz CPU, 4GBs DDR2 667MHz RAM.

Y'know what happened to it in less than a week of playing BASIC 3D games??

THE GPU POPPED and set the whole motherboard ON FIRE.

There's the thing that most people don't look at.

There's Minimum Requirements, Recommended Requirements, and PLAYABLE Requirements. Minimum Requirements are just to allow the game to START UP.

NOBODY SAID it was gonna be PLAYABLE.

PLAYABLE Requirements are the ones that are in the middle between Minimum and Recommended. the MODERN DAY Minimum Requirements are exactly as follows:

- Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz w/ HT

- 2GBs DDR RAM

- GeForce 6100 / Radeon X200

Any lower is low-spec

Intel Video Cards sometimes appear like they can handle certain games ok at first.

But the fact of the matter is:

After dealing with them for 5 years now, I've learned the hard way about how UNSTABLE Intel Video Cards are.

I am given people's PCs to fix on a daily basis; as it's what I do.

A very big chunk of them are video card installations; due to the Integrated Intel GPUs FRYING because of people's kids playing games that they are not made to handle.

It's at ur own risk

You are exaggerating when talking about the size of daggerfall's map. True, it is that big, but most of it is randomly generated crap that looks the same for hours. Unlike morrowind or oblivion where there is a point in exploring, there's none in daggerfall. You go from point A to point B on your map. If you wander the land, you get lost and don't get any "special" treasures or anything. So...yeah, big, but not really. Also, dungeons were annoying after a while, they were way too big

That's all that HAS TO BE SAID to determined if your PC is Low-Spec or not.

You have an Intel Video Card, and Intel Video Cards are TERRIBLE for Minecraft.

My Craptop's Intel Video Card plays Minecraft at an average of 3-7 FPS, 10-15 with GameBooster, but that's STILL unplayable.

The same goes with my OFFICE PC's that I've tried Minecraft on as well; which ALSO have Intel Video Cards as well.

You probably just got lucky.

Terraria would be a better choice for Intel Video Cards.

@WackyModder84 Actually I'm able to play TF2 on lowest settings and get 30 - 50 fps. Minecraft on normal and smooth lighting enabled I get 50 -90. Spiral Knights although I didn't check I think it would be around 20 - 50 on max. Track Mania I don't know but it looks like it would be something over 30 on max. Funny thing is if I play on tiny or short on Minecraft I lag. My graphics card must be cursed. O_o

@WackyModder84 I know, but I already went and got insurance for my laptop. I've been testing it alot and TF2 still runs fine, I downloaded minecraft 1.8 prerelease and tried it, still runs fine. Downloaded Spiral Kinghts, still runs fine. Oh and with Minecraft 1.8 pre-release it fixed that lag I had on tiny so now I can really play on any setting. GTA SA works fine. Terraria works fine. Halo CE runs fine. But it's pretty obvious it won't work on newer games. xD

3D Games = NOT Low-Spec.

Playing 3D Games on Low-Spec PCs *most especially old or Intel Video Cards* is not only Very Unhealthy for your system, but can even be DANGEROUS too! *I learned this the hard way*.

There is a few in there tho that are 16-Bit 3D and 2.5D.

Those should still be ok for you.

Better Graphics DO NOT always make a Better Game, after all ;-)

That right there is what you call a LOW-MEDIUM Spec PC.

You do have the potential for Medium-Spec Gaming, but there's only so much you can do with that.

Pentium 4 Processors become low-spec once you go under 2.4GHz; since 2.4GHz or Higher is where Pentium 4's have HyperThreading. Anything LOWER than 2.4GHz does NOT have HyperThreading; and therefore, is Low-Spec.

So yeah, your PC is OLD AS HELL, but is still 3D Gaming Able to say the least =)

Quake Live may be a browser-based FPS, but that doesn't stop it from being a Medium-Spec PC Game.

After all, with Intel Video Card; MY OWN on my laptop being the prime example, I myself even have problems watching Youtube Videos in 3D! y'know with the whole glasses n shit? If 3D YOUTUBE VIDEOS give me enough trouble, what makes you think 3D Games are any safer? lol

3D Gaming on my laptop is what combusted it 4 times now, anyway. X_X

@WackyModder84 Im pretty sure if you mentioned A.R.E.S in your earlier update you could throw in quake live they're both around the same spec requirements even if you run Quake live on lower quality. :) its a modern day low spec pc game.
