  • I think all this says is, you need to stop buying your beats from the same damn faggot who says its one of a kind and you're the only one with it.

He says hes a producer, but you heard your song on a mcdonalds commercial.

Wouldn't happen if you make your own shit instead of hiring a dj.

  • BUT ABOVE ALL THIS THE FIRST QUESTION IS THAT WHO COPIED FROM WHOM ???? IS IT THEY COPIED FROM RHEMAN OR THE WAY ROUND. COZ REHMAN HAS A TRACK RECORD OF STEALING AND COPYING BUT HAD THE INTL ARTIST HAD THAT HABIT THEY WOULD HAVE COPIED INDIAN MUSIC IN PAST LIKE MUSIC OF ILLAYARAJA. BUT THEY DIDNT .... SO EVEN CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE IS THAT IT IS RAHMAN HAS COPIED SO PLEASE CHECK THE RECORDING DATES ABD THE NAMES OF THOSE INTERNATIONAL TRACKS

  • @tamals22 for your information.. this song is an official remix of original rahman track.. Goto Google type La Caution wikipedia and check the wiki page.. and for all.. who says Rahman Copies songs.. <<< Rahman never copies a song, but he defintely uses background tunes and never steals a whole song like other indian music composers

  • Just 1 song doesn't mean anything ....the writer has given atleast 10 songs that are copied by AR RAHMAN . So finding One Song doesn't justify the Stealing done in REST 9 . And now days everybody says that they are inspired Not Copied ....

And Not all of Todays Bollywood copies .Still the music directors who base on Proper Hinndusthani music dont steal like jatin lalit ,Manohori Singh, Ismail Darbar -Hum Dil de chuke sanam... are gr8 examples selling million copies worldwide accross borders

  • A.r.rahman this song copied from malayalam song kuyilinea thedi kuyilinea thedi

  • Ottakathe ketttikko is copied from malayalam movie NEELAKKUYIL's song "Kuyiline thedi kuyiline thedi"

  • i dont mind peolpe coying other's music...until they acknowledge the person...that is what matters the most

  • Ottagatha Kattikko is originally a song by Malgudi Subha so La Caution basically copied a copy!

  • Ha ha ha. Very nice but harris jayaraj's works are superb while he copying the western song like blue bands all songs...

  • Crap, even ARR has copied many songs from int. artists! you wanna know!

Telephone manippol [all that she wants by ace of base ]he has copied the beats.

Kuluvaalile 1. Like a virgin (Madonna)

    2. Rescue Me (Fontella Bass - Sister act) Beats copied,

a piece from prelude&interlude copied . and many more like anbae anbae, Even ARR knows to copy! cheat!! Sob.

  • you idiot...iroda dilroz is a die hard fan of arr she credited him .

  • Well these are only three exapmles, the uzbuk singer has already mentioned ARR's name, the other two are hard to recognize.. compare hindi songs.. that are thousands in numbers and are a clear case of copy paste with ZERO efforts or creativity

  • My two year old brother can make better music than this crap.

  • Kahin toh from Jane Tu ya Jane na was copied from trick of fate. Movie trick. 1999.

  • dude. Stop de crab. Its a same sample where both of them r using. Sample are musics which u can buy n hold de right. So pls go n learn more bout musics, stop commenting on others. I also having arr samples. So its individual's creative to make up de sample to create music. Jerk which comment too much doesn't understand wat hp happening around u people. Go go go learn. Stop all ur crabs.

  • good to see d firangis envying us...lol

  • Do u seriously think you would give a rat's ass about ar rehman's music if he wasn't indian..he's indian and that's why you like him..when compared with other world musicians..and i'm talking the beatles, elvis, michael jackson and others , ar rehman is a complete waste of time..check n mate !

  • There were many instances where Rahman copied the music from other music directors, as we see so many such evidences in youtube. I have not come acrossed any video showing Ilayaraja copying. So I can't comment on that. Coming to this video, it was not copied, but remixed. So this video does not necessarily prove the point.

However, copying of music is not sin, unless copyrighted... afterall reusing is cost affective than reconstructing... you don't want to rebuild the wheel.

  • wow! great work mr.

  • I THINK AR RAHMAN SUCKS..EVEN HE CAN'T MEASURE UP TO INTERNATIONAL MUSICIANS..HE'S OVER RATED

  • @MOHITMASTIWALA how can u say ar rahman sucks? r u insane?! go listen to his 1990's music.. they're all amazing.. esp his debut roja!

  • @MOHITMASTIWALA .ohh ya..tats y he changed the whole face of indian muzik singlehandedly.... ur comment s overrated ...

  • jai ho by the pussycat dolls!!

  • @Hafiz9596 LOL

  • arr also copied two songs but we cant say it copy but he inspires.those two songs are from telugu. one is the first song in this vedio and second is in bombay that is taken 4rm telugu comedy song. at last first song credit should go to original composers not for arr.its 10000000000000000000000000000000000% true

  • Jai hO!

    ARR Everywhere.......

  • A.R Rahman Rules the world of Music

  • @shivaaakumar3

dude if ya really think so then ya gotta listen to lot many things... ARR is no doubt a great indian music composer...n one of the best in the world.... but he rules the world of music... thats hard to digest ...n its worth a laugh

  • well friends, there is no wrong in copying songs..

just the composer must inform public bout the song composition

and we must enjoy the song instead of blaming directors..

  • Hindi Song: Mehbooba Mehbooba (Sholay)

    Music Director: R.D. Burman

Copied From: Say You Love Me (Demis Roussos)

Hindi Song: Chura Liya Hai Tumne (Yaadon Ki Baraat)

    Music Director: R.D. Burman

Copied From: If It's Tuesday This Must Be Belgium (Walter Scharf)

Hindi Song: Kaisa Tera Pyaar (Love Story)

    Music Director: R.D. Burman

Copied From: I Have A Dream (ABBA)

  • vidu polachutu pogatum

  • @arivu123456 : I am gonna suicide...these lame ppl call themselves gr8 music directors...shame on them

  • The song which is copied from saathiya, atleast she has given AR Rehman full credit for using his music. His name appears, no one seems to have noticed that.

  • You silly billy.. there is a huge difference between copying and sampling..What they have done is sampling and which is allowed in music industry both legally and artistically..All you ve to do is pay royality which I am sure the recording label would ve done..EU, US and AUS copyrights law, thats not something you want mess with..

  • @robbiero2001

When you do its sampling and when we do its copying

    good

  • @usaajan If you play the original song directly and pay the original artist it's sampling.. If you copy the original song without giving credit to the original artist it's copying.. Understand, thambi?

  • Dedicating to all ARR fanzzzzzzz.... lol... he is such a copy cat~!

  • @akkidilbar lol.. how's he a copycat.. everyone copies in the music field.. even sometimes without knowing!

  • Nice finds.. gives us Indians some sort of pride for what some guys like Pritam are doing (mind u, i like some of his tracks too). Only difference is almost all firangis (foreigners) give the credit to the original track, while some of our composers cite it as "coincidences"!

btw, Pilotes Automatiques is the name of the first track (by La Caution), it sounds great! And yes, Black Eyed Peas sampled Ilayaraja i guess, and Kaliyon ka Chaman was sampled too.

  • Weldone Long Life Asian Tigers

    *Peace*

  • Omg that first one was definitely a copy!

  • Comment removed

  • gr8 video dude

  • ohh my goddddddddd.. rahman has became father for these ppl who using his beats

  • this isn't copied. it's called sampling.

educate yourself about music and the music industry please

  • @ghettobrown2013 it's not sampling.. they used the composition here.. sampling is using a beat and not composition as such! :)

  • Great work dude! But copying act is done by all around the globe. Someone copies something from the other. As music fans we shall arouse to enjoy rather than making the copying comments.

  • nice job

  • @TheGreatmusiclover bull shit

  • @forever197504 hihihihihi

  • dude the first one is not a copy it`s just a small clip of the vocals even in vettaikaran oru chinna thammarai the part of bk you gotta keep movin if you want what cha have cause there is plenty lot of girls who wanna get with me mama is a track from sri lanka`s copy... man that is not copying that`s just clip added...

  • guys.. ARR didn't copy... all others copied from ARR.. read the topic once more..

  • COPY CAT ARR

  • The gentleman song wasn't copied by the french group. It has been used kind of remix. It is not a copy for sure. I am too lazy to check out other numbers. Well, your md has copied lot of stuff too. Don't just blame new Mds.

  • Proud to be a Indian!

AR rahman u are toooo big even before the oscars!

and nice effort for this vedio..

    i appreciate it!

  • @usa0dappo

dude seriously the oscar he got...do you think that song was worth oscar...even by the standards that ARR had created for himself

  • check BUSTA RHYMES FT METHOD MAN WHATS HAPPENING....background music is from dum maro dum guitar chords!

  • uzbech looks cool...

  • u done ur homework well mate....and yes 2nd song was originally kadhal sadugudu frm alaipayuthey....da one shown is da hindi version...good compilation...

  • 1 request.. u see the second song is not the original, the original is Alaiypaayuthey (tamil movie) music. this is a remake, u shud of put the original.. jst like the rst, the copiers look @ the original!

  • wat was the song in roja that arr copied..?? prove it

  • that girl luks like Alisha Chenoy

  • i agree...this is the same way alisha dresses for her one song..don't remember exectly!!

  • if I say "wow" and u say "wow" are u actually copying me???

  • but indian make the best out of it. dumbass

  • look what bapppi and annnnu make you do ...if you say what??? ask aslam 007 atif aslam......

    well..who started first?

  • @2828jordan show me one...lol

  • Many songs, eh? Can u name one?

  • nice work...u've worked on oit alot i think...gud..keep it up..

  • Prasmat,The first one is a DJ remix of ARR song.....So NO COPY..!!!Yes the other 2 are ,but when the Foreign composers have credited ARR,then it no more remains a copy...!So get ur facts rite..!

@robinthehot...u r not worth enough to cal any music composer as shit..!Anu malik and Pritam have many beautiful original scores to their credit. You have to be a James Horner to call these ppl shit, which fortunately u r not....So stop calling composers shit.

  • Pritam , Anu Malik will always rememered for what shit they have produced... They didt have guts to shit themselves.. They even copied otheres shitt... They are Chors.. third class ppl. calling them musicians is a insult of music..

  • hey there is nothing like copy in music i think you guys have lot to change

  • tamil kadhal sadugudi is much better than saathiya song

  • OMG

  • good work!! it seems as indian are spreading all oer the world.and having known all languages

  • Proud to be AR Rahman fan...

  • Can you stop complaining about AR Rahman and other musician. Can you people make tune by your self. You think your clever? Please stop commenting on other musician as you people can't make your own music. Has anyone complained it was copycat? said to the high court? One Musician respect other musicians. You think Harris is a copycat but see the video of him ARR's Function. Is ARR against him? is he against other musician? Stop this problem now.

  • the only two songs I know that A.R. Rahman had noticeable inspiration from is "Billie Jean", for the song "Kuluvalile" from "Muthu" and "All That She Wants" by "Ace of Base" for the song "Telephone Manipol" from "Indian"

  • This is a great attempt and work you have put to bring this video. Thanks for this

  • amazing job bro...now da world wud knw..how indian musin inspired da world..

  • Wow! How great! A.R. RAHMAN's music is copied all around the world; while

Poor HARRIS Jayaraj and Vijay ANTONY' are copy cats, copying other International composers!

    God is great.

  • hey wat about pritam.once look in youtube

  • the first song itself is a copy of a tamil folk song if u didnt know!!!!!

  • We should raise our standard such that others r forced to copy our works but we shouldnt( like pritam ) copy which shows how helpless we r.

  • I love the "Uzbek" song copied from ARR's Sakhi. The effects were awesome.

  • Agree. Since Indian movies are admired worldwide for decades now - natural next step is copying and adapting good music.

Great when it is well done.

  • ARrhamman the winner of 2 oscars! of course anyone would be inspired by him !

indian music is unique even when they copy it they always make it better , and i think nothing wrong about reforming the song to another culture but off course they have to credit it to the original maker

  • lol

  • Bro at least they credit him, all have aknowledge that they were inspired and used A.R Rahman's music unlike Indian musician who simply deny it

  • Good post,....intrnational artist can copy indian songs only for A.R.RAHMAN & ILAYARAJA...because only these two music dirctrs knw how to creat fresh music...while anumalik,prithm,hj,,.etc..copyng frm intrnational artists...ha...ha

  • @likantk so what if int artists copy form ARR , ARR has also copied from int. artists ! he dos't even know how to sing !he's such a loser!!

  • the first song is remix...not copied.......a.r.rahman itself copied songs from late M.J.......see the britney and MJ alive video

  • ARR AND MJ have shown great regards for each other...Its not copying....Its sharing..

  • I appreciate your video, great job. Maestro Ilayaraja's music also has been sampled by many international artists.

  • yeh cheeni kum song copied by tamisha german singer, one song from sri ragavendra by black eyed peas, and one song from thalapathy but forgot the artist name.

  • @kartthik

Bullshit . How long u guys gonna suck his dick..If he is great music director . Leave the hell and look for younger generation music director .

  • Ar himself doesnt give a shit!! poi veleya parunggada..!!!

  • @890ful Oye enna. Oru Indian artist matum copy panna neenga evlo scene podovinga badhe.anna international artist namba copy panna ibdhi soluvinga... ayo ayyoooo podha! Thanks for uploading this man. Rahman ROCKS!!

  • if you listen the first song .. the start music is also copied by Pritam.. in his movie Jab We Met Song-Yeh Ishaq Haye!

  • Comment removed

  • Its called sampling. making a new cover beat etc. EVeryone copies today. Some with permission, some without. Get over it..

  • please tell me how i can get this movie "gentleman" - i love this song!

  • Hi,U need the song from the movie gentle man or the movie itself . If u want the song, I can mail u that.

  • hey the second music is first made for Alaipayuthe..in tamil.....why u placed hindi here.

  • what difference does it make its ARR anyways

  • I think if you credit some one for music than it is not copy it is called referencing like for ye udi udi udi (sathiya)

  • kyrgyzstani, kazak n uzbek stole our music...bcoz i hv know them...i heard too n i know the releasing date too..

  • the difference is, most international musicians ask for permission, or atleast give credit

indian music composers like pritam, anu malik and others dont even give credit.

nothin wrong with borrowing, but atleast give credit for it.

lately though i think bollywood has got better; they tend to pay the musicians from whom they borrow the tune. Though again there are people like pritam who still dont give credit.

  • A r rehman is great........

  • kudos to rehman

  • well said damo taishi :)

    @ jagged85: thanx for da info :) BRAVO =)

  • Rahman's "Bombay Theme" was also remixed by the German/Swedish rap group Lowenherz, but without permission. Look for "Bis in die Ewigkeit" on YouTube to hear it.

  • Rahman's "Shakalaka Baby" was also remixed into Mandarin Chinese by the Singaporean singer Kelly Poon, although she got permission for it:

    watch?v=IDjASqyt5XM

  • hei.. stop the bullshit..

is ar rahman is a copycat..

    only him and god kows..

but so far i didnt come across any of them.

  • Comment removed

  • Not all Music directors are same folks. AR is different and do the things diffrently. I value him entire Music directors on one side and AR on one, even then he has more weight

  • screw those who says tht rahman copies music....rahman is da only music director who never copies n always created music frm his own talent n ppl who knows rahman knows tht he's not a copycat but an everlating, a genius, n a legendary music diretor....love u rahman...u r da best!! btw, I so agree wid lavakava. well said man =)

  • Agreed. Rahman is one of Bollywood's true originals. He deserves the heights to which he has risen. Other musicwallahs in Bollywood, take note: copying others and doing cheap franken-songs can make you fast bucks, but hard work and creativity will make you a superstar.

  • Don't say any thing about Ar rahman without any proof. He never copies. International artists copy from him. He doesn't copy from any one. And some people say that the copied ones are better. The original song is made in 1993. Don't forget that. At that time, no one could make music like his music

  • Ar rahman never copies, that is for sure. If so where did Ar rahman copy this from. No one has commented on that.

  • nah rahman hasn't copied anything. he induces different genres into his music like any great artist, but he has seldom copied another artist. don't accuse without proof, because it will bite you in the ass, tiffanysnyder.

the indian guy who copies cheesy eurodance beats and sometimes imitate the chord progressions is PRITTAM, another indian composer, not near as good as AR the great.

  • Comment removed

  • tiffanysnyder you're an idiot

  • hollywood has always copied movie technology from others: star wars was influenced by japan; matrix was inspired by hong kong...hollywood always used international film directors to their advantange.

hindi music industry also plagiarized from western music (eg: pet shop boys' domino dancing, heart, it's a sin; europe's final countdown; jars of clay's liquid; usher's song, etc). AR Rahman is the one who revolutiionized indian music industry and i am proud of him for that.

  • good job man! I'm sure thr r several 100s which we're not aware of..!ARR's a true genius..

however his "ringa ringa" from slumdog has traces of "choli ke peeche kya hai" and rahman himself has accepted that he was "inspired" by that song for his "ringa ringa".. but whatever.. the man's a legend and deserves every bit of it!

  • He took permission for this song from Subhash Ghai the director for Kalnayak and that to because he wanted that same feel for this song...

  • Sampling sound directly is not a big deal.

  • so finally we have someone really talented whose work inspire the whole world .... cheers !!!! ...since now we had juss ppl like anu malik ..bhappi sort of ..who used to copy music from other's work ..copy cats ..

  • check out Malgadi Shuba's 1991 Telugu pop song, 'Eddem Ante Teddam Antav', from the album 'Chik pak chik bam', with music by Raj Koti.

  • Comment removed

  • Did ARR credit her on the album or spoken about it?

  • All muscians do get inspired by some music use a slight feel of that music. But some musician are culprit (Anu malik, and Pritam) who completely steal the entire song

  • if you look closely on udi udi song copy version..it mentions music by AR Rahman.

Its unethical to claim some elses work without giving credit

  • western assssssssssssss hols spoiling the name of our king music maker uh...........all western asssssss holes suck your own balls

  • fck these bludy asssssssss hols

  • hmmmm

  • no other work....

  • good work......................

  • yeah i agree ppl are making too much of a big deal of copying songs off each other...i do agree its wrong to take credit for something you are not part off but at the same time if the people whose work got stolen from is not bothered, i do not see why others should be!!

  • Plagiarism(n): the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work.

Remix:(v) to mix and re-record the elements of (a musical recording) in a different way.

Subtlety (n): a fine-drawn distinction; refinement of reasoning: the subtleties of logic.

  • good work. you made your point...

  • its just remix

  • I don't think there's anything wrong with ripping! Its totally global, and it gives the end user a good music experience.

Look at this - The French would've never listened to the "Ottagatha kattiko" music till it appeared in French, and thats what happened! Copying within the same language is probably cheating.

It seems to me that across countries, its fine

  • c'mon guys they copy remix it and give us gud songs...if those ppl r not bothered why we r bothered abt copying....so much issues created if indian musicians copy westerners...huh...

  • What is your problem, who is bothered, he says he is proud of ar rehman. So he has posted this video so that all of us are proud. Cause till today since the days of shammi kapoor we have been copying western songs.

  • hello mr. i am talking about indian musicians...everyone is bothered about indians copying westerners....i dont have any probs...ar rehman is so great he has got a nomination in grammy....other musicians of india are gr8 too...like the old ones...from all over india...so so much chaos if present musicians copy westerners....i think westerners nothing abt music...lol

  • hello Mrs. glad you cleared that out or else........... :-P.

  • lol or else u wuld have hanged me....y u bothered abt those copy cats...hear some good music with a cup of coffee...if u think who is copying who we have 2 pull our hair...

  • aww the last song is so cute!!

I say they improved u gay songs... and btw bollywood has copied waaaaay more stuff than anyone can imagine... so i wouldn't talk, ya know?

  • That's called a remix, you dimwits! They acquired the rights. Westerners get the rights and give the credit and remix songs, while Indians pass their lifted works as their own.

  • Therez a lot of rip off and using a piece of a song in its original audio (like the 1st one) and crediting the actual composer like the second and 3rd ones.

What our music directors do is rip off some foreign track and give us some great chartbusters !

  • in the second song of this video its composers name is written as a r rehman if somebody can read it

it is not a copy but made by him himself

  • where??

  • Realy awesome work dude..

    thanks

  • cool

  • u did... awesome job..

  • only countable songs copied by other countries from india and infinte songs copied by india from other countries ..... LOL'S

  • the 1st song is of jab we met! pritam copied it from a r rahman!

  • wah bhaiyaa enlighten kar diye aap toh humein
