@xdeadwaterx I just thought about this now.. maybe it's not about them having a weak crowd? Maybe it's about them just wanting to sit back, relax and enjoy the music? Maybe they've never heard MS before and are like holy fuck these guys are sick?
yer ive always preferred jesse, and of malice..., but when i saw them earlier this year and they played this, i thought he did a good job and yer he was respectful by leaving out the most personal and emotional parts of the lyrics, and the crowd carried it anyway.
I completely disagree with everyone saying Jesse is better. I mean, he's good. But Karl's scream is so much easier to get into. I don't like Jesse's highs.
.. He may have a "better" scream, But have you ever seen him play this song live? This song is meant for him to sing and him alone. Ive never seen a man put more emotion into his music. The old Misery Signals will always trump any new stuff that they can put out. But i have to say, i was quite impressed with there new album.
Well, with this song, of course Karl isn't going to have the emotion Jesse had, because it was Jesse's friend. No Karl's. It's not HIS fault. Idk, I just like the new stuff more. Especially Mirrors, because the ambience of it. It's more musical to me. But ALL their shit is amazing.
I also noticed that Karl did not scream any of the really personal lyrics in the song that were written by Jesse. He did not say Jordo's name, nor did he say the entire line 'Of us that night in Detroit with the Pressure Point'
I think he purposly didn't say it because it's so personal to Jesse and it would be disrespectful of him to use those lyrics.
@Zanelovesfob before even seeing this video, i though actually that they would just forget about playing this song all together live cuz the entire song was written about the two who died in the crash and were close to jesse.
@masterxplodur The thing is, it's arguably their best song. Every time I've ever seen them, I constantly hear the fans yelling for them to play it, as early as between their intro and the first song and from what I've heard, they hadn't played it for a few years and recently started again in 2009. In regards to the personal lyrics, I've actually seen Ryan sing them as Karl turns around and chills which I think is a kind of happy medium..
austrian has weak crowds, sucks.

@Zanelovesfob they actually asked Jesse if it was ok to play the song and that was part of it to not say those lyrics

@Zanelovesfob it's kinda dumb that they play this song if you ask me. As awesome as it is, it IS Jesse's song.
