  • I was using Puppy Linux at the time. Now, I run an older version of Zenwalk Linux, which runs quite efficiently on the old beast. The computer has most of the functionality of any modern OS, and a touchscreen. Not to mention the case is incredibly tough.

  • Spin the wheels!

  • bro .. seriously ... why risk breaking a perfectly good laptop...

  • cause its a toughbook

  • I used to dismantle them for a living. when you see inside, there's nothing that could reflect the $4000 price tag. standard motherboard & hard drive etc... the only difference is about $10 worth of magnesium alloy and tough plastics.

  • could you please tell me how to reset the cmos password many thanks

  • You need to replace a small 8 pin IC near the CMOS chip. you can buy these direct from Panasonic or you can buy a 'faulty' laptop or motherboard off eBay and do it yourself. alternatively, buy a new MoBo off eBay. To buy one new from panasonic though would be about $700 because it's an "archived" product... in other words the $700 is worth thier while to store these parts in a warehouse probabely somewhere in the new mexico desert :-p. hope this helps.

  • this is awesome! everyone should buy one of these!
