Yes, I do know the Yankees. They are well known. But Brazilians don't give a fuck about baseball. Really. Our TV doesn't even broadcast it. It used to do in the past, but the audience didn't compensate for the costs. Most of them think of the word "Yankees" as a synonym for "Americans". They are able to say by heart the names of the most important players from European soccer clubs such as Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea, but 99% couldn't point out one single American baseball player.
