  • Just want to ask you guys. Is it possible that there is no such thing as time and we are moving infinitely fast? my explanation for speeds is this. There is an infinite number of positive numbers. There is also an infinite number of positive and negative numbers so you can more faster than infinity while still being equal to infinity. Just a theory. Probably wrong but I came up with it and it's just something I want to put out there.

  • let Justin Bieber explain this shitttttttt !!!!

  • This movie was full of bullshit....

  • Come on, Nikola Tesla proved Aether theory and yet we drop the electrical universe and stick with quantum physics.

  • Dr. Quantum is wrong. Entanglement does not provide a mechanism for FTL information transfer. If you observe the state of one particle of an entangled pair, you know what the other particle's state has to be. This is analogous to the classical case where you have, say, two identical coins sitting on a tabletop, one labelled 1, the other labelled 2. Close your eyes, pick one coin up in each hand and look and look at the coin in your right (or left) hand. You can deduce what the other coin is.

  • @fermista

But is that a justifiable comparison? A piece of metal to an electron?

Since we're talking about relations, and relations between pennies and the relationship between electrons are different, we need to ascertain the integrity of the comparison.

  • @Kinin4 I know it's not a perfect analogy because of the differences between quantum and classical logic (qubits vs. bits, etc.), but the point remains the same: there is no FTL information transfer. If you want to understand the basics of quantum mechanics and entanglement, I suggest you watch Prof. Leonard Susskind's lecture series on the topic here: type in search "stanford quantum entanglement". Note that this is actual physics, not pseudoscience, so the understanding requires some work.

  • This has not been proven...... All I hear is "blah blah blah, I think I'm smart, blah blah"

  • They are doing experiments on entanglement to use it in cryptography. There's a seminar by Louisa Gilder on google video that is quite good

  • "do something to one"

does that mean this can be used to transmit information?? :3

  • @sciencoking Yes, and no. seeing as info is simply an interpretation of the human mind, and the human mind is far from instantaneous. However, i suppose it could be used to transmit 1s and 0s (Binary) by spinning an electron one way for 0, and then the other way for 1, However, then the 0s and 1s would have to be assembled on the other end, and for large ammounts of "info" that could take quite a while

  • @NovaN0va By "However, then the 0s and 1s would have to be assembled on the other end" do you mean you would need to determine the spin of the electron to see if it is a one or zero? Because if you do that time wouldn't really be a problem considering if those two electrons were 10 light years away, if you were to send the stream of ones and zeros by radio wave it would take 10 years. I think we could live with the translation time :p

  • Information coming from the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know" is not credible information.

  • @bigboy45454545 what information is that?

  • I'm saying the movie is nonsense.

Down the rabbit hole was a term used in What the bleep do we know, to infer that actions in the real world, were on the quantum level.

And of course science says something else.

You do know the movie is bullshit...........Right?

Punch is "what the bleep do we know - debunked" into YT, to find out why.

    It's trash.

  • @bigboy45454545 Interesting!? What does science say? what is debunked? Cause the majority of what they talk about is actually fact. Most of whom present this information are actual members of this "science" you talk about.I think you are referring to the theoretical aspect. Then its just that! Theory!

  • @ghosthunterJ

    Anything you say.........Scientifically illiterate person.

Are you trying to tell me that "Scientific Theory" is just Theory, or something like that?

    Because that's extreme ignorance.

Now go back to watching "The Happy Tree Friends" or whatever it is, that gave you such wisdom.

  • @bigboy45454545 Interesting. A claim of ignorance!I just asking. you making big claims yourself and basing them off some guys video. As i watched that video he pointed out only a few aspects as debunked. Im not saying that the movie holds all the answers. I know it doesnt cause its based mostly on Quantum Theory. Which what everyone is getting all upset about is just that, Theory.

  • I think you need to go watch the Vietnam Squirrel have a nam flashback yourself and gain some wisdom. Oh and Scientific @bigboy45454545

  • @bigboy45454545 if you want my opinion bigboy45454545 your wrong.. and ghosthunter you are right ;)

  • @bigboy45454545 and btw, you need some positive attidude that negativity gonna kill ya some day :P.. lol wasting your time talking negative trash on youtube :P like i am.. haha.. well atleast im positive =)

  • So what you're saying is I should remain positive despite the fact that "What the bleep do we know"

the movie, is trying to pass on disinformation as facts.

Being a skeptic, makes me happy.

If I had more education, I'd become a scientist............The ultimate skeptic.

With you other comments about me.

Science doesn't care if you think I'm wrong, it's only after the truth about the universe.

Entanglement happens only on a quantum level, not if the real world.

    Dispute that?

  • @bigboy45454545 The quantum level is the magnified version of the 'real world'.

  • @LittleBabyWheeler...........Well you should, because of your science degree??

  • @bigboy45454545 "entanglement only happens on the quantum level...not in the real world"...well many diseases happen on the cellular level...so is that not in "the real world" when you see that MASSIVE amoun of space that makes up an atom and that it has a center and orbiting objects...it really seems obvious to me that all the BIG stuff in the universe of relativity may just be the atoms of a much larger being or object...matter is composed chiefly of nothing or space to quote Carl Sagan

  • @Metamorphosis33 What you're saying isn't obvious to science. It will require testing to become part of reality as we know it. Well since you're looking at something from "What the bleep do we know" you might like this video debunking the movie. It also talks a lot about the scientific method. Take care.

    /watch?v=P35mErsWB8Y

  • @bigboy45454545

Correction: It either is or isn't part of reality; we just don't know which it is. To quote the movie..."What the bleep do we know?"

Just wanted to clear up your implications. Carry On.
