I am really surprised always when I watch monkeys eat. They eat and spit out the food all the time. Doing this in the wild and up in the canopy must the most unefficient manner of eating. They lose all the food. It is so incredibly stupid, as if they had an unlimited supply of food. Which they dont of course, they spend most of the time looking for it.
So really, how did this manner of eating come about ?
im doing a few drawings of these guys which im selling for money to go towards a charity the zoo i work at is doing to help save the cotton tops in the wild.
The only problem about letting them into the wild is that it's easier to breed them in captivity and they have so many predators that the species wouldn't survive.
este mono se llama Saguinus oedipus nombre camun, mono algodonoso o titi algodonoso, vive en los bosques del norte de colombia en donde son endémicos. son muy lindos y estan en peligro
make sure it is legal in your state, county, and town and you can find a breeder pretty easily by just doing a search online... i know you posted that like a month ago but i figured if you didn't find out yet i would let you know.
um but their endangerd isnt it kinda bad to take a wild animal like that into ur home they should be in the wild unless ur rescuing them then thats totaly diffrent
hey does anybody know how many there are in the wild? they are only found in columbia but i don't know how many there are.

Aren't they beautiful?!
Did you hear that someone stole a male and a pregnant female Cottontop Tamarin from Brisbane zoo on Saturday night?
tenderheart17 1 year ago
@tenderheart17 Yes I did. Such a tragedy the male was found dead in someones yard nearby, but the female is still missing.

It breaks my heart to think about the possibility that she could lose her precious babies even if she is still alive : (
