  • I remember my mom didn't let me watch this when I was 12 lol

  • Love the song and the movie. I watched this movie online a little bit over a year ago in November of 2010. I love the movie and I based my story, Differences....Differences off of this story about my story is about two very different girls who are in a contest to win over a guy. But this movie is about the first girl to lose their virginity wins the bet. My favorite character is Angel Bright because without her half the movie loses its substance and Ferris Whitney is not a chracter I like.

  • Angel's mom had a very sexy top.It seems to be a bathing suit.I hadn't noticed it.She was daring but at that time women were less in danger that today.I wore a bathing suit like her years ago but in a resort town...lol!Near the sea.I have a breast like her but i couldn't walk or drive in this outfit.

  • ANY stupid BITCH who THINKS she has the right to kick a guy in the BALLS deserves the "CUNT PUNT" A.K.A. the "FALCON PUNCH"!!!

  • if that guy knew her at all wouldn't he know she might kick him in the nuts?

  • Comment removed

  • Ahh yes gas at 68 cents a gallon and full service gas stations. Those were the days.

  • @fisteberg

From a males point of view - I was totally crushed and devastated watching Angel (Kristy McNichol) kicking that poor guy in the balls. She does has temper and guts...it's a very powerful and classic opening scene!!!

  • The title "Little Darlings" sounds like it's going to be a movie about weak submissive girls, then it starts off with a "WHAM" - Right In The Nuts...a fun surprise for the audience, well maybe if your a female. Love It!

  • @ncook26 That's one of my favorite things about the film. Its title is so misleading. Really, these girls are anything but "darlings," which is the beauty of it. They're much more interesting than the title would indicate. :)

  • the good ole days! Kids experienced life back then, no smart phones, lap tops, internet. Life was what you made it and you lived in the moment and people had fun. kids probably cant get off their phones long enough to enjoy summer camp these days.

  • This movie came out in 1980...despite the subject matter, it was (and still is) a well made film about coming of age...Kristy and Tatum make a great duo..and Armand Assante looks incredible

  • I remember seeing this in the theater. These girls were way more badass than current cinema teens. Is this a comedy? Look for a young Cynthia Nixon, Sex and the City's Miranda, as the young hippie girl with the long blonde hair.

  • what year did this movie come out?

  • All the rude comments on here are so rude ....This was a Great movie don't ruin it for us all that love it by putting rude comments.....

  • I'd fuck her up the ass so hard. Ram my dick so deep that when I shoot my load it will cum out her nose and ears. Thats some serious fucking folks!!!

  • @VERB65

Not a chance with her! She'd kick you ever so hard in the balls...just like she did to that poor, unfortunate boy who tried to hit on her.

  • @ncook26 She's not easy then;Good point for a girl not to say yes and accept everything of the boys.WIthout going so far you have to say NO sometimes!she's a girl to reach.

  • Gay or straight, to have or to not have sex is a choice. To say all sex is right is naive. Ask the woman or the man who was raped if the sex they endured was right. Ask the child who is molested and betrayed by another child or adult if that sex was right. Ask a woman who thinks a man loves her, vulnerably trusts him and foolishly lets him use her to fulfill his lusts, if that sex was right. Replace in any of these situations a same sex type of deal and ask yourself if it makes a difference.

  • I haven't seen this movie on regular TV in many years. I wonder if it is because since the movie centers around teenage girls losing their virginity, it is no longer politically correct?

  • I was in high school back when this was out...ever girl want to be Kristy McNichol

  • 0:41 i am sooo inlove with that guy, what he says, and how he says it! :) love this movie tooooo :D gonna re-watch it sometime :)

  • How can you not love watching Kristy McNichol kicking a guy in the nuts!

  • Tatum O'Neal is the bomb. Sweet as pie in person and genuine. I wanted to be Kristi as a young faggot. Smoke with her and kick boys in the nuts.

  • "...they're so provincial" LOL I haven't heard that saying in years.

  • Kristy is excellent in this film as she proves right from the very beginning. That was indeed one perfectly executed, full strength, "well-placed" kick. Awesome!

  • The book is amazing

  • Thumbs up if you thought this was the jacqueline wilson book, movie trailer, coz i did.......

  • what the heck...?

  • Is that Cynthia Nixon (Miranda on Sex and the City) at 3:00??

  • @lotus2007 yes, that is Cynthia Nixon before she it hit big on Sex and the City!! She also married her long-time girlfriend I think recently via NY Gay Marriage thing [??] she and her girlfriend had a baby together a few months ago, I think?

  • Where's part 4?????

  • This and Over The Edge really show what it was like to be a kid growing up at that time.

  • @shelly10538 fuck yea! i just finished watching "Over The Edge" yesterday! I must be on some late 70's early 80's nostalgia kick! LOL! i was born in 1968 and i remember sneaking in to see this at the Cinema Twin when i was 12 heh heh!

  • I think young women should watch this, it's one of the better teen films out there that doesn't preach, but shows young women how to stand up for themselves.

  • @chadbrown1974 i got a copy on VHS from deep discount DVDs or try amazon.com

  • 68 cents per gallon gas (sigh)

  • Eh?!

  • Do you know where I can buy this movie or get a copy on DVD? I see the VHS on amazon but I don't have a VHS player anymore. Thanks

  • Wow.... Now I feel dated.... This was the first R rated movie I ever saw, and in the theater too...

  • sweet 66 impala..bumper guards and all

  • This is actually a really fantastic movie. Pretty sophisticated in how it deals with the many conflicting and confusing emotions about love and sex in teen years. I rank this up there with Martha Coolidge films on that level. It's not preachy or even ideological, it's just raw and real. This opening makes it seem a little campy but by the end it kinda blows you away.

  • I ALWAYS LOVE THIS MOVIE,AWSOME 80'S CLASSIC

  • Little Darlings, Foxes, The Breakfast Club. Unlike today's "tween" movies, these older flicks discussed the real world and all the crap that kids have to take with it.

  • Luv it.

  • Another movie that brings back some great memories. Too bad Kristy Mc Nichol will never act again she was such a gifted actress.

  • Pass out condoms?? Heck, where we are, the girls just get themselves pregnant. There are more and more unwed teenage mothers than what you can shake a stick at! What the heck ever happened to teaching the kids about birth control? It's like most of them have never even heard of such a thing!

  • Virginity is a state of mind. Teenagers are going to have sex, but it really isnt anything. It's just this natural act. If you feel pure you pure.. If you feel dirty your dirty. But really everyone should be equal. I had sex for the first time and fifteen, but I'm still me. I like cartoons, and long walks with my dog. And all that stuff. Just live your life!

  • @skulldrix Are you kidding me. Sex is everything. What are you talking about? It causes pregnancy and STDs if unprotected. Sex is a very big deal and a very important decision. Sex isn't anything? Keep telling yourself that. People should be treated equal? Of course they should be treated equal and I don't know what you mean by that. You suppose to have sex because you care about someone. It also very emotional for some girls . Ok you're still you but some girls and guys are not.

  • 68 cents a gallon....sigh ...i wish i grew up in those days lol i love pointless long drives its almost impossible to do with current fuel costs

  • I just love Kristy since the first time I saw her. I think this movie is a classic.

  • @MegaDragonfly64 A thousand thanks!!

  • Who is the artist singing the song in the intro and what is the title? Anyone? Please, I've been looking for this song for soooooo long!

  • @wachatalknboutwillis The GREAT Iain/Ian Matthews, this was his biggest hit. From his 1978 album "Stealin' Home" - but definitely check out his other stuff - he's the most underrated male singer/songwriter of all-time...

  • @christoddur Thanks for the info.

  • Pause at 3:01. That woman is Cynthia Nixon. Who you all recognize as the red head in sex in the city.

  • damn matt dillon is hella hot (:

God, and I just loved Kristi soooo very much in this movie!! Watching her come to grips with losing it, totally made me shed a tear :'(

I know its a really old movie, but god its so good! It makes me a little sad that its not more well-known..

  • @BlakkHorseRidingStar

  • I love this movie i just got done watching and Mat Dilion was so HOT in that movie!

  • Kristy was such an awesome seventies icon! I love that gurl.

  • @cheapcape

All of my Kristy memories are tainted by one memory of her singing with her dopey brother on some variety show, and that really sucks.

  • Kristy and Tatum were very pretty.

  • Good God! The 1st girl the poor one was better off goin to camp but Tatums character? BEtter off staying HOME!!!!!!!!!!!

  • kicking in the balls was popular in the 70's (dont ask me why) such a great movie... amazing soundtrack... sigh...

  • Unless guys lost their testicles since the 70's, I say kicking someone in the balls is still popular today. The Jackass movies are an example of that. :)

    .

I think in the 70's being too feminine was frown upon by women. This maybe as a result of the womens lib movement. You look at some of the TV/FILM characters of that era and they are quite different from how women were seen in the 50's or even early 60's. But women can be femenine again and being a tomboy is not seen as 'cool' anymore.

  • marriage is excatly what you make of it wether it be ten years ago or ten days ago

  • I preferred Poison Ivy.

  • I was 15 when this film was released. Great memories

  • Comment removed

  • cynthia nixon looks so young.

  • This should be shown during sex education classes to show how painful it is to have sex for the wrong reasons and outside a committed relationship such as marriage. Oh, I forgot, I'm told I'm too idealistic and old-fashioned. Just continue to just pass out condoms and try to prevent STDs and pregnancies, don't talk about emotions or regrets connected to sex at all.

  • @Rockchelles There is nothing wrong with having sex unmarried, it's just if you do it because you feel like you have to it may not be as much fun.Neither is explaining to kids the different methods of preventing unwanted pregnancy and even STDS.

  • @Rockchelles marriage is a public joke

  • @Nelson5011 Yes what is parading around these days as marriage is. True marriage doesn't have wife swapping, fantasy idea of always being happy, give up when you have to work hard to 'love' your spouse when they show their human fallacies.

Also, marriage was meant for much more than what we see and I can say with limited characters yet. But yes, you are right, what is marriage these days sucks. That's why I am single at 37. I refuse to lower myself to be married if they refuse to work.

  • @Rockchelles Oh that's right. Married couples have NEVER give each other STD's or have ended up in divorce due to miserable boredom. What was I thinking?? LOL!

  • @Rockchelles

Teens are gonna have sex anyways, shouldn´t they use to condoms then? When it was still a no-go for teens to have sex, they had it anyway and had abortions in dangerous back room clinics or had to give their kid away and were stigmatised for life or forced into very unhappy marriages.

We should talk about emotions and consequences- but in a honest way. To pretend that sexualility only feels good in marriage is lying through your teeth. Everybody should make their own choices.

  • @Ki2Apple Your comments are argumentative, not real. "Teens are gonna have sex anyways" -- no, not all teens. "shouldn't they use condoms then?" -- it's like saying go drive a race car but wear a seat belt. both sides of the argument have some merit, and some problems. "To pretend that sexualility only feels good in marriage..." -- nobody pretends this, what are you smoking? "Everybody should make their own choices." Why are you so eager to push opinions then? Mind your own business.

  • @lavideomania minding your own business should go both ways, shouldn´t it?

And my argument was, that teenagers that have sex should be taught how to do it safely- Not that every teen should do it nor that all of them do. But when they do (and explain all these teen pregnancies, if you really think they don´t), they need to know how to protect themselves.

Though I again want to agree with the point of talking about emotions- that is important too, if not more so.

  • The clearest version of this movie will be uploaded in its entirety on my channel and a few other channels I have later this month so stay tuned.

  • One of the greatest movies of all time.

Even though the OP's commentary is fucking stupid.

  • love you and miss you Kristy!!

  • Was Kimi Peck.. the writer of this movie and daughter in law of Gregory Peck... in the news about having too many animals in her home?

  • Is that Meg Griffin getting out of the taxi?
