rice solution is not the only way of solving hunger in the philippines but sufficient production of alternative food sources to beef up all areas of land for food production, and the people must have to adapt food transitions and help themselves survive. otheriwse human kind is the weakest of all. That's also true, but if you check the voting records of Muslim countries in the UN in anything with birth control and women's right to planned motherhood, they have always sided with the Catholic Church and other conservative Christian churches. Supply is sufficient. Rice will grow.. it will grow fast through alternative ways of feeding and good cultivation. Demand is controllable. Its up to you if you want to waste your food to another countries because you'll get back a huge amount of net. Duh! You can empty your silo because so many foreign countries needing your rice. Ey.. its business if you believe you will get more from them. Make them happy.. the problem is, your countrymen will no longer buy your rice because its emptied! Heheh

Demand?.. Theres a huge demands outside the Philippines particularly in a well-developed countries. Where average people can buy cheap foods outside their country. So the producers rather sell out much of their produced food outside Philippies. Because they make more money than of local markets. So that is the problem of this food shortages!

The Phlippines do produce its own rice , however, it can't keep up with the growing population and the demand of other countries to export its rice. Even here in the US rice shortage is starting and there is really nothing we can doabout it.

Its not mainly about money. More and more places in the Philippines are being urbanized. Soon the land wont be able to support the people's needs. If you say money is everything its like saying you can pay the rice crops(the plant itself) to produce more than it can.

Yes! Its about the money system in the Philippines. If only money in the Philippines is very worth it. Then theres no having problem to sustain food on their tables. I believe that more and more places in the PI are being urbanized. But that is just telling - that the PI is welcoming the industrialization. People are moving to the cities because they'll find opporutinities and more likely jobs. If your money is worthless, then you better go outside PI. That's wat all Filipinos doing. Bcuz of it!

The Philippines is one of the number one exporters of rice. Theres no such rice shortages in the Philippines. But in local markets of rice, they all overpriced. Of course only well-developed countries can take a huge amount of rice. So theres that outrage of what we call, food monopolization of the Philippines - it is now International Monopolization of Food. If you produced rice, you have to kept half of it. With that, price raises rapidly because rice is not freely flowing in local markets!

Sinasabi ko, ang Pilipinas ay isa sa mga No.1 exporter ng bigas. Kaya nagkakaroon ng lack of supply ng rice dahilan sa inflated money. At ng monopolization ng bigas. As you see, marami ka namang nakikitang bigas/gulay. Kaya nagkakaroon ng maraming food riot, dahilan over-priced sa standard ang presyo ng bigas. So biglaan ang taas, pero this doesn't mean na nagmahalan ang bigas. Nangyayari lang ito dahilan sa inflated na pera. From there, nagkakaroon na ng monopolization(high prices) at hoarding!
