There is a severe lack of bi-pod, (I can't bear to drill a hole and install a Harris) and to keep it steady I'll need to rest it on stuff and im worried about the wood getting baddly worn and scratched.
@MultiZippoman Ive now had it for about a year and like 3 months. Still holding out, everything is built to spec of the real thing so nothing will fail, SVD's take proprietary bi-pods in front of the magazine before the wood in those dimples you see. Don't need it though IMO bi pods aren't that necessary, I have one on my RPK and NEVER use it.

Alot of people say that barrel length affects accuracy yet none of them can provide any evidence why it might affect accuracy. BTW
" the bb is in the barrel longer so it goes straighter" is not evidence. Notice how all stock tm aegs have pretty much the same accuracy despite varying barrel lengths. It has been tested various times.
Think of things in extremes, If you're barrel is 1 mile long and you're target is 1 mile away then you are bound to hit. There you go there is your "evidence".
if so why aren't 500 fps GBBs used for DM or Sniper roles? They are more compact. Why use snipers at all in airsoft? If barrel length doesn't affect accuracy then we should all just use pistols and mp5ks and uzis for sniping because they're more compact and present a smaller silhouette so it's easier for stealth. =/
because (from what I hear) airsoft is all about realism. I dont like that its based on realism the whole time but its fun to get your inner army-man out on the field and just have fun. While paintball is more based on your endurance, and speed so its more on how well you keep compact and fast.

not givin ya crap dude, ive played both also, but think about both of these hobbies... theyre pretty much exactly the same thing, you just shoot different ammo with different rifles... you go out in the field, or go into a pre-set enviroment, CQB for Airsoft, arenas for paintball... you work in teams (or deathmatch for small groups i suppose)... and you can get gear for both...

@Heheh274 there is where your wrong. If you ever get the chance, look around youtube on the NPPL events and watch how you have to be able to run around a field. Be able to stay in a shooting stance and snap shoot (which gets tireing after a while). And when your not playing speedball, in the woods running, hiding, running, shooting. basicially what you do. Airsoft requires a lot of endurance too. I mean you have to lug around a realistic weighted gun for the entire game while carrying your armor

an M21 is the same thing as an M14 but a specialized sniper variant. You may have played Call of duty 4 and heard of it. The only difference in that game is fictional stats, and that the m21 has a 10-round mag rather than the normal 25 round mag. btw: they have made airsoft m14s.
OMFG. I know that. I want and airsoft M21, not M14. Let it come with the ten round mag I don't care. And I don't even have an Xbox. What I'm saying is they should make a realistic airsoft version of the M21, with trademarks. I may have been wrong about the full-auto... I read in a book that it has that, however the real one would blow the silencer off using full auto. The M21 can use the 5, 10, or 20 round box mag. The airsoft one needs to be quality made.

Alot of people say that barrel length affects accuracy yet none of them can provide any evidence why it might affect accuracy. BTW
" the bb is in the barrel longer so it goes straighter" is not evidence. Notice how all stock tm aegs have pretty much the same accuracy despite varying barrel lengths. It has been tested various times.

Think of things in extremes, If you're barrel is 1 mile long and you're target is 1 mile away then you are bound to hit. There you go there is your "evidence".

if so why aren't 500 fps GBBs used for DM or Sniper roles? They are more compact. Why use snipers at all in airsoft? If barrel length doesn't affect accuracy then we should all just use pistols and mp5ks and uzis for sniping because they're more compact and present a smaller silhouette so it's easier for stealth. =/

because (from what I hear) airsoft is all about realism. I dont like that its based on realism the whole time but its fun to get your inner army-man out on the field and just have fun. While paintball is more based on your endurance, and speed so its more on how well you keep compact and fast.
Airsoft- Game
Paintball- Sport
Dont give me crap bout this cause I've played both and they are both very fun.

@killzone95955 Both paintball and airsoft have professional leagues with sponsored teams. They're both games, they're both sports. Depends on how you play it.

@killzone95955 Paintball has realistic looking guns too. Complete with accurate sized magazines. Like I said, depends on how you play. Some people just wanna goof off and play speed ball. Some people wanna play woodsball, some want to have a realistic skirmish. I'm all for airsoft, I don't play paintball. But don't knock it till you've tried it. ;)

not givin ya crap dude, ive played both also, but think about both of these hobbies... theyre pretty much exactly the same thing, you just shoot different ammo with different rifles... you go out in the field, or go into a pre-set enviroment, CQB for Airsoft, arenas for paintball... you work in teams (or deathmatch for small groups i suppose)... and you can get gear for both...

@0O0O0O0O0O1000 it wouldnt be that hard...Put a new spring in a gun and boost it up to about 600 fps and use some metal training bb's. that will be able to put a bb an inch into your skin from 30 feet..get that shot in the right location, and you have a soulless body!

@Heheh274 there is where your wrong. If you ever get the chance, look around youtube on the NPPL events and watch how you have to be able to run around a field. Be able to stay in a shooting stance and snap shoot (which gets tireing after a while). And when your not playing speedball, in the woods running, hiding, running, shooting. basicially what you do. Airsoft requires a lot of endurance too. I mean you have to lug around a realistic weighted gun for the entire game while carrying your armor

@MegaBJIMGM I haven't ever seen/played airsoft as fast as I do paintball. And have you done your research? Paintball not only includes more gun companys, they also have grenades, landmines, grenade launchers. all like airsoft. Have you been in the army or know someone personally who is?

@xxx17000 Aw..airsoft is more on tactics...not as much realism...like KWA...they have the best internals...there the most popular guns out there....if you play airsoft its more demanding than paintball..just because of paitence...it takes more careful moves....yet paintball is fastpaced and fun too. Just preference i guess.

@xxx17000 i agree and disagree........ I believe your right about both. Paintball is more fast pace and way out in the open and about speed. While airsoft is tactics if you play like i do. Wait a few minutes mapping out where the enemy is, and to get them out without others knowing. Airsoft can be about endurance and speed also. It all depends how you play. The last time i played i spent my time running around and ran about 5 miles. it depends how you play.

@xxx17000 In the Philippines.. BOTH airsoft and paintball is a SPORT. Depends on the type of game you play... Mil-Sim are for games while speedball airsoft is a sport, much like paintball.

real firearms have rifling. lol remington 700 vtr's barrel length is perfect IMO, idk the short barrel of hte police one... idk it makes me... feel inferior even though those are deadly accurate haha

Now they need to make an M21 to counter that. It needs to come with a working suppressor, good scope, and have semi and full auto like the real thing.

an M21 is the same thing as an M14 but a specialized sniper variant. You may have played Call of duty 4 and heard of it. The only difference in that game is fictional stats, and that the m21 has a 10-round mag rather than the normal 25 round mag. btw: they have made airsoft m14s.

OMFG. I know that. I want and airsoft M21, not M14. Let it come with the ten round mag I don't care. And I don't even have an Xbox. What I'm saying is they should make a realistic airsoft version of the M21, with trademarks. I may have been wrong about the full-auto... I read in a book that it has that, however the real one would blow the silencer off using full auto. The M21 can use the 5, 10, or 20 round box mag. The airsoft one needs to be quality made.
