  • ..... So you bought a new adapter ....

  • @flava1990 ya i paid like 35 dollars from ebay still works great

  • Can someone help me? I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 and Im using the same charger/power supply as the second one he has with the rubber bands around it and it still has the prong in it. Yet when I plug it in, I have to spin it around or move it for it be recognized as 'plugged in, not charging' Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

  • @Flyingstorm make a video if you can because i can give you more help this might help. plug it in and very lightly move it up and down to see if the jack is lose if it is take ur computer apart and re solder it taking it in is very expensive the cheapest ive found is 155. or your power adapter could be messed up try. if you know anybody with the same laptop try there one. if ur power jack is good then it is ur adapter. not software because if u wiggle it it will charge

  • @Flyingstorm It sounds like its the DC jack is broken , common problem , they are very cheap to buy but hard to fit / replace / solder if you dont know how, but leave it with some1 who knows what they are doing.

  • i got the same laptop ;D

    and same thing happened:S

  • @ThePcrepairs ya dells are known for crappy power adapters. but on ebay parts are very cheap and on this laptop the power jack is on a sepparate board than the mother board. my usb on the right side the side with the disc drive the usb is messed up like it mus bee broke off because it is saging down

  • @swabbster3 CAN YOU SEND ME THE LINK PLEASE ? ?

  • @swabbster3 but also my laptop is still working is charging but its says plugin nt chraging :SSS

  • @ThePcrepairs when you first plug it in? this one does it to it is because the computor has to recconize that it is a dell charger

  • @swabbster3 YES ;) that ok than thanks for the video ;)

  • Look at my video for more help. :D At least give it a chance.

  • @itxpert3 i bought a new dell specific charger off ebay and it fixed my problem

  • @swabbster3 If you told me your specific problem, for ex: I tried your process, it does not work, I would have recommended getting a new charger... Subscribe for more help on PC or Mobile Phone problems... Just send me a message telling me your problem for help.

  • mine says plugged in not charging. ive tried everything i can to fix it. idk if theres a prong broken off in there or not, ill have to check. thanks for giving me the idea

  • T MAXX.

  • Yeah never mind, it turned out to be the extension cord I had it plugged into went bad or something. I just had to unplug it from the extension cord and hook it into a regular outlet in the wall and it's working fine now. Thank you though.

  • Mine won't even show that it's plugged in...it's plugged in but nothing is happening, I'm just running off the damn battery with nothing happening. It was working fine and then out of nowhere it just STOPPED working.

  • @Ventus1989 if you still have battery did you bump the cord i could have detached from the mothor board or your charger may have fried take it to a LOCAL pc repair shop dont send it to dell it would take for ever if you need a new charger dont buy one in store or a multicharge type thing that can charge many diffrent brands because they will say plugged in not charging buy a new charger of ebay from patatopc that is where i got mine cheap and fast shipping

  • My laptop is 1 year old and it dosent say its not charging it dosent say anything

  • Crap video, how to fix a charger and you just buy a new one...

  • so howd u fix it?

  • I have charging problems with my laptop, but mine is kinda unfixable.. Cracked motherboard, only solution: Get a new motherboard.

  • @wheely132 maby most dells well most laptops have a separet board like mine has a separate boiard on the left that uses a ribben cable and connects to the mother board yours might be the same way

  • @swabbster3 Nope! One board. Mines been apart SO many times. I have a Gateway M-6309.

  • @wheely132 that sucks what do you use for a computor and how did you break it?

  • @swabbster3 I use my Gateway M-6309. I just use something to prop up the charger. And not really sure what cracked it! The old power jack fried 'not charger, jack in laptop' and I took my laptop apart to replace the jacks to find a crack in my motherboard.. I am using the laptop with cracked motherboard right now! Haha.

  • @wheely132 wow that sucks well lucky it still works

  • @swabbster3 Yep! I am glad it still works :D
