Why does Ryuuto know seikuken? I thought those who follow the path of dou (evil) cannot learn it because their hearts cannot follow the opponent. Or am I thinking of seikuken level 2?

Ryuuto follows the path of both Dou and Sei, which is a self-destructive path. He is able to use both Dou and Sei techniques, but it damages his mind and body if used over a long-period of time.

@ThousandNen Actually, Ryuuto follows the path of Asura (Path of Demons) since he only seeks power for the sake of it. Dou and Sei are styles where you either let your anger (Dou) explode to give you both power and speed or where you remain calm (Sei) to calculate and react that way. Doesn't matter if you use the killing fist (Satsujinken) or the life saving fist (Katsujinken). You can use either Dou or Sei. As for why his body breaks down, it's because using the two creates friction.

@JudasTheBetrayer89 The friction the two styles create when you use them together cause the muscles to literally tear themselves apart (in the anime/manga) if it used for a prolonged period of time. Which, is later explained if you read the manga when someone else uses the two together.

@blueberrylesbian I think it's only level 2, ryuusei seikuken that is only available to sei users because Miu is a dou user but she comments in the manga at one point that she can use seikuken. and as judas said dou isn't necessarily evil because miu, sakaki and apachai are all dou users

@blueberrylesbian Dou doesn't mean evil. Dou fighting means you let your anger come into play and push you past your limits during the fight. Sei means that you keep your emotions on the inside, keeping a clear analytical mind. Miu has stated in the manga that she is a Dou type fighter, and she is of course not evil. Ever notice how fighters like Kenichi, Odin, and Takeda have never gone into a blinding rage mid-battle? They're all Sei fighters, and are all capable of Seikuken and such. :)

Okay, I've laughed my ass off since the first time I heard this name. In swedish, we have two words. ''säg kuken''. It's pronounced ''sej kuken'', just like ''sei kuken''. The difference is, ''säg kuken'' means ''say the cock''... I'm not joking... :S

Although you can read the move of an opponent but that doesn't mean you can necessarially dodge it. There are 2 levels in Ryuusei Seikūken. First, is to read the opponent's flow. Second, imagine in your opponent's feelings and heart. In Battle 346, Ethan mentioned that although the user is looking into their opponents eyes they're really focusing in on the bodies breathing and can be disrupted by yoga breathing techniques.

A more advanced Seikūken instead of controlling the radius the Seikūken turn into a layer of skin to anticipate the flow of the opponents. You have to be absolute calm to use it even a slight of emotion will disrupt it. This move described by Miu as the ultimate form of Sei. If an enemy is too strong, reduce your Seikūken to a thin layer of skin and anticipate the flow and dodge the opponent's attacks.

What about the Ryuusei Seikuken, or whatever the first word is, it starts with Ryu I think. Thats the best of Seikuken, this is an incomplete version of it, the completely version completely dominates, it allowed him to beat someone of Miu's level. The funny thing is that Takeda learns it aswell :P

He beats kano shuu only by the help of it.

Seikuken, a fight for territory. Similiar to the defence of Bagua zhang but in real life not so unbreakable as they potray it to be. Seikuken does exist in real life with almost that 360 degree range. Its like you feel incoming attacks instead of see them. Think Taichi push hands exercise.
