I wouldn't worry about writing your own material as I cannot think of any Keith Moon songs. They are mostly Pete Townsend compositions. The fact that there was only one guitarist in Tho Who left plenty of space for Entwistles' busy basslines (think of Bruce Foxton in The Jam) and Moon's unique take on 'keeping the beat'. I think you would walk into most bands no problem but would work best where there is only one guitarist who is not simply strumming every beat of the bar.

I like it a lot. This is my favourite Who song by far and the best drumming and sound that keith ever got. As a drummer I know that what you are playing is not easy and I don't think you look silly.

It's a ride. I find it more comfortable to play that way.

I did originally put the ride there because Moon did and soon learned why he chose to. It's far more intuitive and comfortable to then play a roll across the kit. Ihate clearly has an agenda - a 'keyboard warrior' if you like. Keep it coming mate it's entertaining!
