I lost my life when I walked away from God and got it back when I walked back to him and asked him to forgive me in my heart. Nothing greater than God. I was 21 and had it all and then spiralled out of control. Did my own thing and missed birthdays and vacations at the beach. Uncles wedding trials and all kinds of stuff. My Mom's troubles. Became nothing. I could have been there for people but I wasn't. Then I came back and got loved. There is a lot of love in me for that. Back with God though!

So, maybe having God's light in you means maintaining a Christ-like witness in this world? All that matters is that we understand that to have God's light in us means that HE is the one who governs our thoughts and actions, not out peers, or music, or some movie you just saw, BUT allowing God to shine through you in all that you do so that others might see Him.

This song was playing on the radio just before my interview today, and I got the job after having sought earnestly for three months. Filled me with peace and calm before a stressful situation and like another here said, helped me remember who I am.
What else can I say... God put the light in me when I was down. He showed me the way when I was blind. He helped me through times of struggles and stayed no matter what. I lost my life when I walked away from God and got it back when I walked back to him and asked him to forgive me in my heart. Nothing greater than God. I was 21 and had it all and then spiralled out of control. Did my own thing and missed birthdays and vacations at the beach. Uncles wedding trials and all kinds of stuff. My Mom's troubles. Became nothing. I could have been there for people but I wasn't. Then I came back and got loved. There is a lot of love in me for that. Back with God though!

the Lord is the light in my dark days....without Him guiding me I would be living a horrible life. I am 23 and just now allowing the Lord to work on my heart. I live at a ministry and in missionairy training....I am going all in for the Lord. Thank you LOrd for all you do for me!

@chris17123 I understand where you're coming from. Those kind of "Christians" have given us that reputation, when I promise you the real ones aren't like that. Becoming a Christian will be the be the best decision you ever made, I promise, you if you ever decide to make it. It may not be instant, but when you accept Jesus it will gradually make a HUGE difference in your life. Now, I am not saying I don't believe, I am a christian but sometimes,some of us get so caught up in God that we think we have to do whatever it takes to get someone on our side which really ends up pulling them away. WOW! Brandon you are such an inspiration for me! i recently got a quitar for Christmas this past year and i haven't had any professional lessons at all. I got a few from a friend at church and my mentor is my worship leader at church. He said he has never heard of anybody learning how to play the guitar as fast as i have. God has worked a miracle in my life. I was just saved last Sunday and my faith is renewed! You've changed my life and there are many more to come! Jesus saves!

So, maybe having God's light in you means maintaining a Christ-like witness in this world? Maybe it means not throwing rocks at passing cars, or opting out of an activity with friends that will only leave you feeling convicted? All that matters is that we understand that to have God's light in us means that HE is the one who governs our thoughts and actions, not out peers, or music, or some movie you just saw, BUT allowing God to shine through you in all that you do so that others might see Him.

What is He but love, hope, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and selfcontrol. We need to let all of His light shine. Well, I think John from the Bible is a good example. The Bible says:
“There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light” (John 1: 6-8).

What else can I say... God put the light in me when I was down. He showed me the way when I was blind. He helped me through times of struggles and stayed no matter what. Sometimes I would ignore, yet never will I forget. He helped make my choices throughout life that has shaped who I am today. I am grateful for what I was given. this video reminds me of this girl i was sort of going out with who is pretty much questioning her faith and doubting herseflt and god because she is always getting beat up,bullied, over ruled.... and looked down on...... she says she used to pray all the time and cry out to the lord but he wouldnt help her. she like almost gave up all of her faith almost but i helped her....... i was like that when i was little just not physically beat up.people need to understand gods way and promises. amen.

I was Brandon in concert in WV the other night and this was one of the last songs and everyone was singing it together. Everyone was clapping. Everyone, for that moment, worshiped God under the same roof. It sounded so great!! Brandon Heath has def. changed peoples lives through his music.
