Unless this is meant as a joke, it is badly conceived. The title of the book (and the episode) is ambiguous in English. There is no reason to assume that other languages have this ambiguity with words corresponding to serve, especially not an extra terrestrial non human language. The decryption result is therefore almost totally incredible.

Moreover (even if it is a cook book) to serve a meal to a man or to serve man as the main ingredient of a meal are two distinct English interpretations.

This episode can lecture us on how safe we all realy are.One mistaken translation has cost so many lives.Kanamits were very wise and its quite obvious they did it before.Kanamit walked out from UN building when questions started getting tricky and left book behind which was encripted and put some fake pages in first part knowing that Earth people would translate it sooner or later but would have enough time to do their work.I guessed from start that there was something wrong
