@surielist Doesn't work too well in real life. A simple grab-elbow to face-disarm or wrist lock (had plenty of opportunities to catch the wrist while he was dodging slashes) is far more reliable and safer.

nice, i hope i can give some constructive criticism.

do some post production. tighten the levels a bit, adjust the curve and make it pop more. a little vignette and color correction wouldnt hurt, too.

i dont know how you are filming this, but i hope you got a higher res that 480p.

your ambient is very quiet, almost overlapped by the music (which should only add top the athmosphere, not dominate it)

nice choreography, but i must ask, is there actually any power behind those foot strikes? i train muay thai and we strike with our shin, and we can put as much power in as we want without breaking anything, but my friend broke his foot on a pad after striking with his foot. is striking with the foot reliable in the real world?

@sfereone it's basically all about speed, timing and precision. There is for sure power behind the kicks and punches (for the most part never full force though). in screenfighting the trick is to aim for the blocking hand/sometimes foot/knee ect. that reduces the impact a lot. In real combat I guess it depends which body part you hit and the fighters' physique.

The shin, being a very strong bone, is dense and causes much more damage to the opponent than the instep(where your shoelaces are) will. That's why you see it more in mma. The snapping kicks with an instep are seen more often in point sparring because they are fast.

Think of it as the difference between a jab (snapping kick) and a cross (shin kick). The jab is used to set up more powerful strikes. The cross is, ideally, a knockout strike. They both have merit if you use them properly

@sfereone Your friend didn't kick correctly and that's why he broke his foot; if you're going for full impact, you don't strike with the instep. In Karate, they teach you to strike with the ball of your foot (arching the toes backwards toward the ankle) to stun and daze with a swift, snapping motion. At the same time it depends on the area of the body you are targeting: in a real fight, aiming for the face is not ideal as you can deliver more damage to the softer areas of the body (with a foot)

Schon seit Jahren schau ich eure Videos an. Half moon ist wieder mal etwas vom geilsten wo ich je gesehen habe, aber diese Underground Fight gab mier denn rest, Fuku deine Kicks sind ja sowas von elegant und kraftvoll, die Musik ist total passend und geil, was ich vom trailer gesehen habe, weiss ich dass dieser Kampf auch nur ein Traum ist als du Hide s Maske abziehst, er dich dann ansieht das habt ihr perfekt mit der Musik angepasst..;) ich lege auch immer grossen wert auf die Musik.Super JOB
